Dungeon Crawler You!

Voting is open for the next 2 days, 10 hours
Leo as the fast skirmisher
Taylor as the multi-body actor with SysOp
Drew as the lucky guy actor with bling.
Moose as the bruiser
With "Moose in a time cube" Leo gets time spells (many of which are gated behind tiered level requirements -> not a good fit for FCA), if we then get her FCA next floor she can take a class with good mobility skills for skirmishing and level-to-keep those.

Haste should synergize well with skirmishing. (more time -> to the enemies she is quicker)
Timecube can break apart groups or delay pursuing enemies.
And if she can get some points of int on herself she can use "Benefit: Borrowed Time" from behind Tay and Drew to hurry into the enemy group, deal damage without worrying about being hit, and when borrowed time runs out she returns safely back to the group.
And with time rip she'll get a spell that "does the same amount of damage as Magic Missile to most things, but it also accelerates timers on whatever it hits. It's a great way to bring down something like a Shield spell. It also ignores most armor and some damage-reduction effects."

[X] Moose in a Time Cube

Pretty indifferent to the Time Warping abilities, but the drawbacks associated with Wizard Supremacist make me leery.

Doesn't look like Moose in a Time Cube is going to win so I'll put back my vote for
[X] Plan: Wheeling, Dealing, System Screwing Multacorpalan
Besides which the catkin vote is currently the highest so it'd have to beat that anyways.

If "Moose" and "Moose in a Time Cube" beat Wizard Supremacist that invalidates "Catkin Leo" and "Wheeling, Dealing, System Screwing Multacorpalan"

See
Compare that to a theoretical version where:

17 people have voted
[X] Plan Catkin Leo
-[X] Leo: Catkin Wheeler Dealer
-[X] Taylor: Multicorpalan Sysop

[QM: Race and class are set for Leo and Moose. Keep looking to find class for Drew.]

15 people have voted
[X] Plan: Wheeling, Dealing, System Screwing Multacorpalan
-[X] Leo
--[X] Race (L): Doppelganger
--[X] Class: Wheeler Dealer
-[X] Taylor
--[X] Race (T): Multacorpalan
--[X] Class: Sysops

[QM: Disregard this vote because Leo and Taylor already have their race/class. Keep looking to find class for Drew.]

13 people have voted
[X] Moose

[QM: Moose must get a class. That means he must have at least Intelligence:2. This can be achieved by having a Sysop (one of Taylor's classes) copy a "+2 Intelligence" entry from someone's class or race onto Moose. Cross out all votes from here down unless they result in: (1) Taylor takes the Sysop class, (2) at least one of Drew,Taylor,Calliope has a race or class that gives +2 or higher to Intelligence.

12 people have voted
[X] Drew: Combat Medic

[QM: Disregard this item because it would mean that no one in the party has a +2 or greater Intelligence buff that could be copied to Moose, and therefore Moose could not get a class]

2 people have voted
[X] Plan Jokey Joke
-[X] Leo: Tortugan Juvenile Jinete
-[X] Taylor: Scion of the Zree Sysop
-[X] Drew: Banana Farmer
[QM: Stop. All party members have a race and class specified. Taylor is a Sysop. Jinete provides a +2 Intelligence boost that can be copied to Moose.

Final result: Leo Tortugan Juvenile Jinete, Taylor Scion of the Zree Sysop, Drew Banana Farmer.]

1 person has voted
[X] Drew Democratic Senator

[QM: Evaluation of vote has already stopped. This vote is disregarded, as is everything below it.]

Adhoc vote count started by eaglejarl on Sep 25, 2022 at 11:53 AM, finished with 766 posts and 44 votes.

Currently winning options:

[] Moose in a Time Cube
-Taylor: Multacorporan Sysop
-Leo: Chronan Wheeler Dealer
-Drew: Mystic Scholar

'Plan Catkin Leo' has more votes but cannot win on its own since it does not specify a class for Drew. If '[] Drew: Wizard supremacist' moves ahead of 'Moose in a Time Cube' then the winning options will become:

[] Plan Catkin Leo
-[] Leo: Catkin Wheeler Dealer
-[] Taylor: Multicorpalan Sysop
[] Drew: Wizard supremacist

That's an example of if it worked Differently Toboe. @eaglejarl I think your examples are confusing.
To make a long story short:
We need a complete plan, with Tay&Leo Race and Class plus Drew FCA class.
Eagle takes the first valid combination he sees going from most votes to least in the tally.
If "Moose" is selected, any combination that doesn't result in Moose is automatically invalid.

If you have "Catkin Leo" followed by a Drew class that enables Moose, that is valid and get selected. If you have "Catkin Leo" but then hit a full party vote (like "Moose in a timecube") that enables Moose, then that is selected, because it is a full valid vote by itself while "Catkin Leo" isn't without a Drew Class that enables Moose.

Trying for different explanations of the voting resolution problem. These are all equivalent, just different ways of saying the same thing:

We are looking to find race+class for Taylor and Calliope, class for Drew. The basic process is shown below in three ways, and there's a special rule at the end:

1. Merge with overwrite. Combine votes together from the top down until you have a complete plan. Where votes conflict, later votes overwrite the conflicting parts of previous plans, but only the conflicting parts.

2. Walk through the options from the top down. The first one you come to that specifies all necessary items wins. If the first one does not specify all necessary items, take the pieces that it does specify to be the tentative answers. Continue walking through the following votes, adding missing pieces until you have a complete set. When a vote adds information, all the pieces of that vote replace the previous candidates.

3. Take votes from the top down and merge them together until you have a complete set of (Race+Class for Taylor and Calliope) + Class for Drew. Only merge in votes that add information. When merging, all pieces from the new vote overwrite existing items for that slot.

Special rule:

If [x] Moose is seen, immediately discard all following options that do not result in Moose getting a class, then resume the steps outlined above. The way that Moose gets a class is if Taylor ends up with Sysop and someone in the party ends up with an Intelligence bonus of +2 or better.

Hopefully one of these versions finally makes it clear.

EDIT: Looks like @Toboe beat me to it.

Why Chronan is great:
  1. Haste Self is a solid current buff
  2. The next few spells are all gained at a decent level (so we don't need to grind them so much to stay relevant). And with Mystic, they're shareable as well as powerful !
  3. Without spoiling canon, let's say that getting an inviolable cube by layer 4 is insanely good.
  4. Borrowed Time doesn't seem to contain the restrictions of D&D Time Stop. Stop time, do headshots, then vanish into stasis. Just the ability to vanish into stasis would already have been a super useful tactical spell, and adding in a few seconds of absolute murder is just gravy !
  5. Time Rip messes with timers, which can be super valuable. It's also an immunity-piercing magical attack, which is great to have

Yeah Borrowed Time seems more like Za Warudo/The World than Time Stop.

and so on.

"Catkin Leo" isn't a full plan, so it is selected only tentatively. Move on.
"WDSS M" doesn't complete "Catkin Leo", it conflicts. Move on.
"Moose" adds a restriction: anything after MUST lead to a plan that involves Moose getting +2 int (or more)
"Moose in a Time Cube" fulfills the restriction from "Moose" and is a complete plan. It gets taken

If we imagine "Moose in a Time Cube" didnt exist, we would move on.
"Drew: Wizard supremacist" fills the Drew FCA class slot of "Catkin Leo". It also fulfills the "Moose" restriction. It would be taken.

If we imagine that "Drew: Wizard supremacist" also didn't exist, we'd move on.
"(Drew) Mystic Scholar" fills the Drew FCA class slot of "Catkin Leo", but it would break the "Moose" restriction. -> It is invalid. Move on

and so on.

[X] Moose in a Time Cube

Well, I didin't expect that a Chronan plan would end up amongst the top plans, but here we are. Time powers are definitely amongst the best things we could pick up.

An interchangeable bipedal/quad canine race would suit Moose, as long as he still looks like himself. I'm thinking a pack support traits, and loyalty traits. Constitution bonuses.. Interchangable thumbs so he can operate items now. Or maybe go MyPony route and straight up soft telekinesis.. Or prehensile tail or clear use of snout and tongue to operate items.

It'd be really interesting to see the Paladin class Eaglejarl wanted to try out. If he already has racial pack bonus then stuff like aura could mesh really well with that.

Also.. Since he's already a Tibetian Mastiff - he'd qualify for something eastern like Inugami?
