Sounds like a stretch that they'd let that happen, but may be worth it to have such a book when they patch it, incase it gets turned into something else.We should keep an extra spellbook for the next floor. After they patch it to be a skill, we use the book to get the spell version back and keep making them for another floor.
"Yeah," Taylor said after a moment. "Primal has that thing where all skills are unlocked. Does that mean it could learn how to do Rollup and make higher-level lootboxes from lower-level ones?"
"No," Levi said firmly. "I am as positive as I can be that there is not going to be any way to get Rollup without having the Wheeler Dealer class. Honestly, it's suicidal of the showrunners to even have one method of someone getting and using that skill.
My current list for what to copy (maybe), without order or prioritization:Honestly, I would prefer to copy the Skill: Character Actor for this floor for a 90% of a second class tacked onto Taylor/Leo.
Otoh it may get us "Diva" for Taylor. Or Other non-skill actionable heavy things like Metamage with its Metamagic. Adding Spread to Pyrophilia? Or Spread and IFF to Fireball (or even better: that fire Tornado we saw with the Valkyries)Copying character actor gets less and less valuable with time, as skills are increasingly under-leveled compared to your layer.
Multi-Drew and Multi-Leo have the same "you really want to take them as early as possible" problem. Meanwhile Multi- improves survivability quite a bit once it gets going, moreso than Character Actor.
Therefore in the short term I suggest copying Multi- for both our allies, and in future layers Character Actor will have fallen so far beneath the power curve that I'll be voting to copy other stuff (probably other strong racial features we come across, or specific class abilities Drew gets through Character Actor, etc).
TL;DR Create Spellbook lets you create spellboks from spells you know, and Create Spellbook is a spell. We're picking a lot of classes that will payout more as we get deeper into the dungeon, so getting Fireball straight away so we have a big stick for this floor feels like a very good idea. Also, whilst I don't fully understand it and did not want to go back to wherever it was outlined, the "recursive spellbook" idea appeals to me.

Welcome to the hivemind! Nice to meet you.
Uh, I don't know how to do spoilers. So, editing to this to get rid of them. Hi everyone sorry lolHaven't decided yet, honestly. Although, in canon Mordecai stated that it was probably a bug that would be patched out as soon as Borant noticed, and therefore casting retained spells was a bad idea.
Here you goUh, I don't know how to do spoilers. So, editing to this to get rid of them. Hi everyone sorry lol
You are the absolute best. Are you in the discord yet? If not, you should be. We do lots of munchkinning
I am! I've been posting as undeadDreamer, but I'll change my server nickname to match my forum name. You are the absolute best. Are you in the discord yet? If not, you should be. We do lots of munchkinning
Pretty sure Character Actor auto levels itself when you go down a floor. It's part of the skill, not the class that levels it up.Copying character actor gets less and less valuable with time, as skills are increasingly under-leveled compared to your layer. This isn't a problem for Drew because Character Actor itself increases in level over time and provides more than the normal class minimum, but if we copy it later we'd get the copy at level 1 and it would be fairly underwhelming.

Doesn't it mean we should get 2 body later? You wear it, and duplicate it.An important interaction that I can't remember how it works: whenever you go down a floor all of your personal space and crafting tables upgrade by one level. We can't access them until floor four, but if Diva gives them to us now will they still get an extra level up?
Also, I don't think character actor will give any skills outside of actually going through a stairwell/being g teleported to a new floor. I predict that exactly nothing will happen when Taylor uses the sysop ability until they actually go down the stairs.
On a related note, Taylor has some really really strong class options and getting character actor on him is actually kinda nuts.
We still need to get 2 body problem on Leo before she starts making legendary+ boxes (yes, I know the gear is only duplicated when a new body is made. That's why it's important to do it early instead of right before making a bunch of stuff.) Plus she already has some really good loot to copy. I want to see a fleet of Catkin Leo's burning a town down together
Catkin is "cool mystery box"Could someone kindly summarise the arguments in the Catkin vs Doppelganger debate? I find myself torn regarding which of the leading options I wish to vote for.
Right now I'm leaning towards doppelganger, as it's essentially an entire replacement class for Wheeler Dealer (which doesn't do anything besides out of combat loot improvement) due to all the skills which need to be trained, but catkin likely has better audience synergy, which is always important.
