Btw eaglejarl, I'm doing this because you seem chill with metagaming (and because it's an excuse to reread a fun book). If you want us to avoid it, just tell me and I'll disengage.
Hey, like I said, this is my light and fluffy narrative-based rule of cool quest that neither I nor y'all need to sweat over too much. Metagame and lean on OOC information as much as you like.

While I prefer Pirate Admiral to win, I think Republican Senator is underrated. It's an excellent crowd control class, with Charisma-based spells we can keep. The experience malus is balanced by the experience bonus in the crowd control actionables, which we'll want to be grinding anyway to keep.

Good, admittedly cheap spells, with an INT, i.e. mana, malus. Major nerf to his his physical combat and mobility. Filibuster makes him even more of a sitting duck while he uses it. We don't have the party size and composition to support that level of specialisation. SuperPAC lets him heal and or boost himself with money but SRS should still have a dedicated bodyguard and a blaster to take advantage of the non-lethal crowd control for best effect.

If we recruit another couple of people then it's a good option for a future floor.

Senior Republican Senator.

I'm liking RCC this floor more the more I think of it because the sooner we take it the sooner Leo gets a copy of Stipend and the longer Stipend and Roll Up have to level each other for excellent cash flow.

However, the same reasoning works with Pirate Admiral in that Plunder to Leo would also help level Roll Up and generate cash - so long as she gets lots of killing blows on tough opponents so we'll have to find ways to up her stopping power. Taking RCC later then means her copy of Stipend gets power levelled by Plunder + Roll Up and Drew gets an extra day or two to squeeze in uses of RCC's other, long cooldown actionables and hopefully keep them too. But! Next floor should be the multi-environment bubbles with scope for ship action and chandelier swinging.

On the gripping hand, optimising over multiple floors can only happen if they survive this floor. Which is more use now?, whole party defence and healing buffs or cannon?

Plunder is class locked. I don't know if we can copy it to Leo.

We're not going to stay at that Int malus, we're going to keep those cheap spells for future floors. Those spells don't scale with Int, and Int is no longer Drew's main stat, that's CHA. Using the best taunt skill in the game still works even if riding Moose, and most of our travel this level is going to be by train, anyway.
Plunder is class locked. I don't know if we can copy it to Leo.
Since I don't think treasure boxes are the same as the type of boxes Leo can roll up, we'd be copying the doubled boss box actionable to her, rather than the Plunder skill.

We can also just put it onto the people that naturally get lots of finishing blows (Tay or Leo? Dunno) and transfer finished boxes to Leo (like if Drew gets a chance to gravity anvil a swarm of [his level +1] monsters)

When you transfer boxes you transfer all your (non-sponsor) boxes. That's fine for low rank boxes that just have cash and potions. If you have a gold+ box that wasn't generated by Plunder then you can expect something that suits you if you open it yourself. If it goes to Leo's stack and gets rolled up it will be something the AI generates with Leo in mind. So, you won't want to make the transfer.

Other times Taylor will be on a long cooldown from one of his powers and can't perform a transfer.

If you have a generic box generator you put it on Leo herself, no faffing around with extra transfers. She needs more stopping power anyway.

Yay! I finally had enough time to read everything. I like a lot of the Class options and appreciate all the thought you put into them EJ. There's a lot of stuff we can have fun with here.

[X][Class] Banana Whisperer
Is there a Class that's more versatile? If so, I don't think we've seen it. I do agree the chances of founding banana trees on this level are low.

[X][Class] Battle Burglar
Pick pocket is YUGE and being able to steal equipped items is even YUGER! This could be a way to train Drew's luck since it will be checked every time he picks pockets. Will he get lucky and get three big item?! Also, much as I love Roll Up and want to train it, this is skipping the whole loot box thing entirely and just getting loot. I'm envisioning him walking around the Desperado Club picking pockets to leave happy little notes in people's pockets for skill checks that don't violate club rules.

Keycard lock picking could be very helpful this floor in particular.

[X][Class] Pirate Admiral
Who doesn't love a pirate?! All the people they rape and murder? Fair point. Anyways, that canon ability sounds fun! I forsee big potential problems on the train though... lining it up on the platform and shooting in sounds like a lot of fun though. Extra loot boxes from bosses for roll up sounds great.

[X][Class] Medical Student
Great healing and 15% exp bonus. That bonus will help a ton for getting and keeping skills going forward.

[X][Action][Prime] I vote we use our barricades to block off the train doors (those are going to come in handy!) And get off at station 83. It's been a rough last few days for the group and they need to unwind. Coincidencidentally, 83 is a prime number which I believe means there's a Desperado Club. We can hit the safe room, rest, and then go party or gamble or drink or whatever.

[X] [Class] Battle Burglar
[X] [Class] Professional Gambler

Why these choices? Professional Gambler is chosen for OOC reasons :
  1. Narratively, it'll push for more luck and fewer gimmicks to power-level.
  2. Tactics-wise, it'll be pushing Drew to level his combat spells, which he needs to do. I really wish he'd kept Annihilation Dart...
Battle Burglar has an excellent ability, and it seems like it could be very useful on a floor like this with doors everywhere and general urban features.

I forget who asked/ pointed it out but it was confirmed by EJ that Roll Up can be interrupted by the box transfer. So, that means higher boxes can be sent back to whomever they came from and boxes that have been rolled up and be transferred over. That way people can still open their own boxes and get loot geared towards themselves.

Disguntled Postal Worker is just good, and seems like it'll have strong support synergy with his other abilities.

Battle Burglar has an excellent ability, and it seems like it could be very useful on a floor like this with doors everywhere and general urban features.
Disgruntled Postal Worker is the only class I am firmly opposed to. Rage machine with no IFF is bad, especially for the guy who forgets not to hit things as a Wizard Supremacist.

We're going to want a Sail or Ride skill for Drew. We also want to buy a canoe or motorboat or something. I expect bodies of water on this floor will be in short supply.

I wonder if killing mobs by dropping a motorboat on them, or derailing a train with a ship will count to train a Sailing skill.

We've never set foot in a training hall yet, so we should probably do that.

We need to buy or trade a Vanquisher tattoo and seriously get to organizing players, too.
