Disciples of Red Dew Sect (Cultivation Riot Quest)

Given the sheer number of players I am considering removing Auxiliary Actions to lessen my workload during turns. This would come with two additional changes. First traveling would no longer cost anything. It would simply be part of your action if you needed to move somewhere. Second since cultivation would be fairly boring if you had to spend your only action on it I would provide a default cultivation result every turn.

This would be fairly easy for me since doing the same thing for all the disciples at once is pretty straightforward. You could still cultivate as your main action if you wished to focus on it.

If you have any questions or comments on this please let me know. Also let me know if you are against it.

What grade of spirit stones are these, honorable Elder?

It's safe to assume Peasant, but I'll ask just to be sure. Also, what's the exchange rate with money (Silver Tals?) mortals use in their affairs (or do they use spirit stones, too)? My character plans to send home a part of his rewards, in one form or another.

Also I've confirmed that those were peasant spirit stones.

They are indeed 7 Peasant level Spirit Stones. You know for a fact they would catch quite the price in the market (Easily 7000 tals), however... Are you certain you want to pawn off an Elder's gift? That said, you have no use for them currrently, as your body is yet to be tempered. You can't even sense Qi.

Certainly, this must be one of Elder Xuan's infamous test of wisdom. A treasure you can't make use of right now. A metaphor, perhaps? You could ask him about it at a later date...

My question is would we be choosing between working on our base or meditating on the dao for our coultivarion action? Or would it be both. Like is there that level of customization is what I'm asking, or is it just one same default action for everyone with rolled results.

What will be the penalty to injured characters with the new system? right now iirc injured people lose their auxiliary action until healed but if auxiliary actions are removed that won't work anymore.

Could have it so that Dao Meditation is no longer an action, and you just earn Insights by either training certain techniques, or performing certain actions that further your own way. But that's just a spitball.

As for injuries, could just have it so they either block you from performing base level cultivation, or provide a penalty to your dice.

Since it counts as currency, I gathered it was meant to be spent rather than kept, and I was considering it less of a gift and more of a reward. But I'm not wise in the ways of the world, let alone in the ways of the wise, so I will meditate on it before coming to a decision.

My filial duty urges me to aid my family back home however I can, and I could give my parents a thousand Tals - nay, a thousand thousands - and still not be close to repaying them for all they've done for me. But my sect is my new family, and I'd rather open my belly with a rusty blade than offend one of its most esteemed members.

So one action per turn then and cultivation as a free action ok I'm assuming we have to take a action to take cultivation resources

For the sake of my bookkeeping yes. Unless the elders provide so many elixirs it just becomes standard for everyone.

I think there was also mention for a standardized shop which wouldn't require an action which would help.

For that I need to bother the elders into setting up a supply of items for the shop.

It would just be training your cultivation base. Meditating on the Dao would require an action from you. Since you don't have to do it nearly as much. It is possible to gain insights from other actions. So meditation is more about the final step of putting everything together.

It would become a penalty to your dice on your main action.

What are the 108 paths to Immortality?
Does the Empire really encompass everything, or is that just propaganda?
What is the overall popular opinion on the Red Dew Sect?

Young Apprentice Bai.

You have been invited to attend an extermination to best learn at the foot of the Honoured Elder Maçon. You will not leave the Honoured Elders side on pain of horrible death by lion claws.

This is not a request.
Bai Kouta scratches out his plans to fix the llama pens.

The next day he presents himself before Elder Maçon. "A smith must understand how a weapon is used if he is to create one. This one thanks you for the opportunity to learn Honored Elder."

The Empire stretches from the Dreamless Ocean in the East to the Sea of Dreams in the West. From the polar wastes in the north to the umber desert in the south. There might be lands beyond those far off reaches, but they aren't well known.

The Red Dew sect is well loved by the mortals inside the territory for the work the old baron did. Outside it, well you wouldn't know as a mere peasant.

Btw @SomeDude134 , not sure if you saw that Math breakdown I did earlier, but are you capable of giving us an estimate of how many dice/what kind of Bonus you'd be willing to offer the theoretical participants of Operation Gathering Red Dew?

Taking an elixir doesn't seem like it should be an entire action, tbh. Appending it to the vote with an explanation of how it's being applied would make more sense.

Turn 2: Jiayi Shiang's Lecture
By written words and the spoken words of older outer sect disciples the following message reaches the Sect Disciples who entered the Sect this year.

"Youngest Sect Nieces and Nephews, I request your attendance on the Fields of Contemplation on the entire last day of this Lunar Cycle so I may impart some of my wisdom unto you. This Elder can only suggest that you grant your time to stay awhile and listen."

"This lecture is open, and by this Elder's suggestion recommended, to all new disciples that have joined our Sect and Community this year and have set their first steps on the road of the Cultivator and the discovery of their own Paths."

-Jiayi Shiang

It isn't an entire action normally, but if I'm doing 30+ cultivation rolls at once it's going to be a little annoying to remember which one exactly has the cultivation elixir attached.

How does attending the lecture work?

It's basically a mission you need to spend an action on.
