This is fucking beautiful and I am crying my eyes out, thank you.
Yeah, that and I stubbed my broken foot.I... Thank you. I'm glad my fluff chops are up to the challenge. Makes me confident that my other one will be good.
Are you okay there, Oracle?
I will note, though, that the only out-and-out incompetents I recall being rolled up aren't part of the inquisition. (Sidenote: I was wrong about 'first major ordos'. We do have an Ordo Xenos inquisitor)
They're the Haemic Dragons, an Astartes chapter.
The bigger problem is that our inquisitors mostly have ultra specific duties which they mostly don't diverge from - "Keeping people from leaving the sector", "Faking assassination orders", and "Policing time itself", in particular.
Rubian Dio is the most interesting man in the imperium...after the Rogue Trader Carlos McConnell himself.I.... see.
Very well then.
Ah, but would Girolamus even care? that's the question.

Uh, I'll do a write-up on Lord Inquisitor Rubian Dio in a bit.
HOW?
I'm pretty sure, that you only roll up to three quirks, and that you can roll up to three titles. Other than that, he sounds like an interesting guy.I.... see.
Very well then.

Oh, okay. Forgot that was a thing on the chart. Though I am pretty sure that Lavish and Spartan are contradictory traits.I decided not to roll all three titles. And he got "Quite A Character" on the Quirks chart.....

His bodyguard is composed entirely of clones of himselfShould I try to write it, or just scrap one?
And for that matter, what the hell am I going to make the bodyguard?
Heck with it. I'm scrapping Spartan and rolling another title.

You are...incredibly good at this. Here goes.
"I once met an Inquisitor from a remote corner of a distant sector. He gave me the motto of his family, and I couldn't help but take them to heart. I speak these words to you now, that you may gird your hearts and souls against fear: Faith is Enough." -Lord Inquisitor Dio in the last battle of the Liberation of Kyberia
Hail Arch-Dominate Rubian Dio, Lord Inquisitor and General of the World of Kyberia!
Rubian Dio of the Ordo Malleus. Controversial in the circles he frequents within his Ordo, he is not afraid to take a lighter hand and a tighter grip on the fight against the Great Enemy. His puritan tendencies are often seemingly at odds with his love for the luxuries of the galaxy, and the amount of influence he has gathered is, to some, unsettling.
Inquisitor Dio is a puritan, yes. But he is first and foremost a servant of the Creed, a vicar of justice who must oversee the affairs of the Imperium as well as fulfill his duties as the right hand of the Golden Throne on Holy Terra. His faith was written onto his heart when he stood before the great gates of the palace itself, overwhelmed by the majesty of the Emperor's sanctum and overcome by a sudden sense of purpose, he became convinced that naught was more important than bringing the galaxy to the His Light.
The many who have served him over the years have been constantly tested and tried in the crucible of the Inquisitor's faith. Some were found wanting, and these are the ones who tasted his lash during their tenure. But those who passed were beloved and praised, and the Inquisitor always opened the doors for them when they finally left his service, many finding lives far better than they might have in any other circumstance. But even those who were tested and tried and made to suffer for their iniquities were not hated, for they had strayed but were not beyond salvation. Those who grew into their roles and became better joined the ranks of his inner circle, and left fulfilled when they were released. They who did not grow and evolve were tested until their time in his service ended, and found him no kinder than any other Inquisitor. Those who betrayed the Imperium and the Creed were never seen again.
His membership in the Ordo Malleus, however, is for one simple reason: he is too strong a psyker to be left unutilized. Having mastered at least two psychic disciplines (Telepathy and Biomancy) and possibly having learned others, his skill as a psyker is indisputable, and he has repeatedly emerged from psychic phenomena that would have shattered many common Sanctioned Psykers in moments.
When one sees him, they are often surprised. Despite his purported age (237 years), he appears no older than thirty, and is often considered incredibly charming and handsome. But this is thanks to his access to the rejuvenat and to his mastery of Biomancy, which has allowed him to slow his age and change become far more than he otherwise could have. Dark hair, green eyes and a winning smile have been repeatedly used to throw targets off-balance and convince opponents that he is little more than a face.
The Inquisitor is also not without resources. In fact, his rivals are convinced that he is plotting a coup or some other mad expedition with all that he has collected.
First and perhaps most importantly is the planet of Kyberia. Only thirty years ago, the planet was beset by a widespread infestation of the Ruinous Powers. daemons and heretics waged war on the loyal members of the populace, the King-Elect of the world holding those members of his family who maintained loyalty hostage and using the corrupted forces of the PDF to wear away the faithful. Then came Inquisitor Dio. Claiming the title of Arch-Dominate (an archaic Kyberian title that represented a theocratic role), he waged ten years of bloody war against the traitors, finally retaking the capital city of Cartagon Helia in a battle that claimed a full fifth of the campaign. Since then, he has groomed the populace into faithful servants of the Ecclesiarchy, granting one of the world's moons to one of the sector's Orders of the Adepta Sororitas as a fortress, and transforming the people into a culture dominated by vicar-kings and deacon-generals who send their Hosts (the reorganized and rebranded regiments of the planet's Imperial Guard) to war against their Warpspawned nemeses across the system and beyond.
Second is his great ship of the line, a cruiser known as the Pilgrim's Succor. A vast warship that carries the Inquisitor's retinues and personnel, and armed with the terrible power of exterminatus, this vessel has become a beacon of doom where the Inquisitor finds the taint of daemons.
He is a friend to the Ecclesiarchy, and one of their staunchest supporters in the sector. For his faith and continued good works, they granted him command of an elite squad of Adepta Sororitas, all of whom have been ordered by the Inquisitor himself to eliminate him if he should ever become a Daemonhost or gateway for the Enemy.
Lord Inquisitor Rubian Dio, Arch-Dominate of Kyberia and Deacon-General of her legion Hosts, watches Sanguis Vitam with a relaxed smile, and with a finger ever present on the lid of a small, unassuming box on his desk. Within that box is his most terrible tool, and the weapon that could reshape whatever he touches.
After all, if the Emperor's children become too lost to rescue, then the rod is inadequate; far better to end it, and end their suffering.
And there we have it. I hope I did this justice.
You are...incredibly good at this.
Also, this may be the least contemptible inquisitor I've seen in some time.
Certainly a saint compared to the one I just rolled.
Aye, because as anything other than a pure, utterly loyal, law abiding human, navigator, or astropath, Marteus would automatically see Rubian as automatically a traitorous heretic curr, not even necessary enough to have his execution delayed like the aforementioned navigators and astropaths.I figured that, given the forgiveness quirk and his Ordo Malleus affiliations, he wouldn't be quite so murdercrazy as a lot of others.
But yeah, Marty would probably, no, he would immediately hate Rubian.
Aye, because as anything other than a pure, utterly loyal, law abiding human, navigator, or astropath, Marteus would automatically see Rubian as automatically a traitorous heretic curr, not even necessary enough to have his execution delayed like the aforementioned navigators and astropaths.
And I imagine Rubian would hate Marty, as well, on account of Marty being a kill happy and inefficient jackass who doesn't give anybody who's made his list even the slightest chance to earn redemption.
Let's see...Order of the Shining Temple is stupid (they themselves use psykers), Order of the Jade Sword spends all of its time hanging out with tigerfolk, Order of the Sorrowful Chalice probably wouldn't wait until the Perils of the Warp struck to kill a psyker inquisitor...Almost certainly. Ironic, given that they're both dedicated to preserving loyalist presence, if I understand correctly. Ah well. Typical Imperial shenanigans.
And let's be honest, Rubian needs to be dislike by some people just to even out the fact that he's probably overpowered otherwise.
I don't even know whether to associate Rubian with an existing order sisters or let someone roll up a new one.
While I like this, I don't think Blue Company would be working for him, since they are Ordo Xenos, and as such are more likely to work for Tarbyl Resk. I could roll another stormtrooper company for your Inquisitor if you want. His bodyguard is composed entirely of clones of himself
Anyways, here's a new inquisitor courtesy of me.
15 - Male
56 - Old (90-100)
27 - Ordo Hereticus
74 - Nothing
8 - Fiery Puritan
66 78 60 - Nulli Cede, In Omni Rei Audiciam, Et Per Arte Belli
Not rolling Psychic power (this is a fiery puritan, he'd kill himself if he were a psyker)
4 55 84 - Heavily Augmented, Illuminated, Favorite Weapon
24 7 92 91 51 - Private Army, Ties With, Expert Surgeon, Spy Network, Archivists
77 - Imperial Government
46 - Inquisitorial Stormtroopers
Well, looks like the blue company finally has someone to work for.
Wait.
A bold, fearless, skillful combatant, with a favored weapon, who wants to kill all the sinners, who has stormtroopers under his command...
Holy fuck, it's the topic of this song!
It is known that Inquisitor Marteus von Robbin has never used a team of acolytes or an interrogator where he himself would suffice.
The man is known for four qualities: his hatred of anything resembling a heretic or criminal, his solid adamantium balls (not literally, though large amounts of his body are solid adamantium), his decision to dress in all black, and the boltgun on his hip.
An ally to the few remaining non-heretical elements of the Sector government, he goes from planet to planet along with the Blue Company, working to personally kill as many traitors to the Emperor and the laws of the imperium personally as is possible, and having the whole process documented afterwards by a large number of scribes while his body frequently undergoes yet more cybernetic reconstruction. Before he goes to a planet, he has his expert spies feed him a massive list of sinners and heretics to slaughter.
Once, he stumbled into Ordo Malleus business and was briefly possessed by a demon. He banished it with his unbridled hatred and, somehow, his boltgun.
Now demons don't even know he exists, which would be a great trick if his job involved dealing with them.
But nope, he just goes around looking for heretics, mutants, and mere criminals to slaughter alongside the Blue Company.
Let's see...Order of the Shining Temple is stupid (they themselves use psykers), Order of the Jade Sword spends all of its time hanging out with tigerfolk, Order of the Sorrowful Chalice probably wouldn't wait until the Perils of the Warp struck to kill a psyker inquisitor...
Of the currently existing ones, your best bet is probably the Covenant of the Bloody Blade, though they work more closely with the Arbites than the inquisition.
Fair 'nough. While I like this, I don't think Blue Company would be working for him, since they are Ordo Xenos, and as such are more likely to work for Tarbyl Resk. I could roll another stormtrooper company for your Inquisitor if you want.
