Taylor is gonna start collecting lesbians on her tropical world and eventually just go "Fuck this shit, we're out!" and live happily with them. Plus with Amy there they can even have kids.
Gallant knows about the Nemesis program. He's one of Cauldron's vial capes. In front of Gallant? Cheers for the shortest Nemesis program ever as they investigate Emma now lol.
Taylor has no idea how much this could actually help Amy. Especially if Amy gets to be cutely flustered and comfortable in a judgement-free and supportive environment.Bad Taylor, no plotting to fluster your lesbians for entertainment.
Not just lesbians she can also collect the asexual like Lisa.Taylor is gonna start collecting lesbians on her tropical world and eventually just go "Fuck this shit, we're out!" and live happily with them. Plus with Amy there they can even have kids.

Any Flyer would be at least nearly as great, fire is great, but being able to quickly get around the island and to other islands would be great too.Spitfire is actually probably one of the two best early immigration recruits Taylor could make. Second only to Amy herself for the exact reason Taylor's recruitment of Spitfire started off on a bad note. Having a touch bio-kinetic to check that you aren't poisoning/drugging yourself with the local grub just barely trumps Fire on demand. Though living flamethrower trumps just about everything else for her sheer versatility because, let's be honest, fire can solve a lot of problems when dealing with an environment untouched by intelligent hands. Driving off the local fauna if they get too curious and burning down flora to clear the way for farm lands are just some of the first that come to mind. Easy start cooking fires are also a pretty big plus.
Obviously, it's a Contessa plot that she found that particular fruit, at that particular time. It's all part of her path to better coffee.OK, what is up with Taylor's luck in this fic. It's like she's a chaos magnet in this fic. A pair of Nazis, a pair of wards including Emma, and an independent parahuman, and she manages to run into all of them at the same time?
Not necessarily. While flying would make her more mobile and therefore able to cover more ground. That's already covered pretty well by her drones and doesn't involve possibly risking living people if something dangerous is encountered. So while convenient a flyer isn't necessarily up there with Spitfire or Amy on the priority list. I would actually put Parian and Tattletale ahead of any flyers for their usefulness.Any Flyer would be at least nearly as great, fire is great, but being able to quickly get around the island and to other islands would be great too.
Or anyone who can help her set up fishing, she's setting up an island society, fishing is at least as important as farming, and take much less setup to do.
Amy is absolutely the best Immigrant Taylor could get, I'm disputing that Spitfires power is that high up in terms of usefulness not Amys, Spitfires power is convenient, but it's one that's relatively easily replaced with mundane tech, meaning it's very nice to have, but could be replaced(though with an inferior alternative) with a few extra thefts, a flyer would be at least as useful, because while Taylor have drones for scouting, they are no in fact all that useful for foraging, a flyer on the other hand, can actually get to the resources and bring them back. Not necessarily. As for fishing, we run right back into Amy being a highly desirable immigrant. Because who knows how dangerous it is to eat any of the local aquatic fauna. Also Spitfire again shows up with cooking fires for any fish that prove edible. Yes Taylor can build a fire herself but Spitfire removes a lot of the tedious work getting a cooking fire started.
What had I done to gain such favor from my goddess? A fresh start and the power to make good use of it, for me?
"Oh Winds this feels good!" I moaned as I settled into the most human-friendly of the hot springs. The waters were just the right temperature and mineral composition, in just the right shaped basin, to near instantly start soothing my various aches and pains. Sweet merciful Kyne
If what Mom had taught me was right, that was as good a sign as any that the Storm Hawk wanted me to stop moping.
That was the nice thing about the Cult of the Storm Hawk, no ceremony and the only ritual was the hunt, just action and contemplation of nature.
How does she know they're lesbians? That I'd somehow wound up snagging two freckled brunette lesbians who didn't seem to agree was… odd. Eh, whatever.
Problem is Inference Engine is just that, an inference engine, not a magic divination tool. GIGO is in full effect, and it actually does need data points to begin with, it can't just look at a fruit and know its chemical composition.Let's make an exception for Lisa. She needs to get away from Coil, and having Sherlock Holmes+/Inference.Engine would prevent another "this food is poisonous/will get you high as hell moment."
Tropical trees in the open? In New England? The only thing anyone would need to do is pull out the dead trees.Nah, she should plant the trees in the streets. That way the Merchants will lose their customer base in no time (that the PRT nor the Merchants would allow those trees to remain is mere details)
I mean, if you were from Bet and had the opportunity to get into a tropical getaway free from all of the madness and Idiotball tainted ground water, wouldn't you take it, even if you had to help build it?No plotting to fluster your lesbians for entertainment. Do it for the lols. It seems as if we've acquired a Spitfire, and she's savvy enough to realize how amazing it is to have a virgin world for a home base. There's work to be done, but so much potential to be had. Excellent chapter!
The springs are associated with the volcano to her west, which is not the one that's erupting.I hope she has maped out her hotsprings to make sure they are not connected to her alarm vulcan.
Of course, not everyone she recruits will be interested in her. Just those who'd make it amusing.
She will find out eventually, and it will be glorious.Hot springs, psychedelic oranges, gay panic...
Emma must never know how much she improved Taylor's life!
This is Dean we're talking about. He knows the new villain blames his new teammate, but that can't be true. No one who'd join the Wards would deliberately cause a Trigger Event, it has to just be a misunderstanding, or mistaken identity! In front of Gallant? Cheers for the shortest Nemesis program ever as they investigate Emma now lol.
Trainwreck joined under Coil's direction around the time Leviathan hit, and I'm not acutally sure if he's even in the Bay yet.Is trainwrek in Merchants now of not if she recruit him she could get a funny villainly scheme of stealing trash to recycle.
Wonder if L33t get word of this would he try minecraft theme?
While she's currently two-for-two, this isn't going to be like Mutant Deviations where most of Taylor's team ends up with her.Taylor is gonna start collecting lesbians on her tropical world and eventually just go "Fuck this shit, we're out!" and live happily with them. Plus with Amy there they can even have kids.
Nothing like that, think more along the lines of a cannabinoid.I think the fruit was a weird poppy fruit that makes it own morphine.
Gallant knows about the Nemesis program. He's one of Cauldron's vial capes.
Dean, as far as we're aware, doesn't know about the Nemesis Program. He also has his own issues and hang-ups that mean he takes things in a not-always-reality-based manner. Like his Canon conclusion that Amy's into him instead of resenting him.As far as i know, Gallants father bought the vial and Gallant himself knows nothing about the other services Cauldron offers.
And they will not investigate cauldron or vials, they will investigate Emma driving someone to trigger and villainy.
The issue is not the flustering of lesbians, but the deliberately setting it up for entertainment. Not that Taylor realizes that it would be good for her too. But that will all come once she's comfortable with both girls.Taylor has no idea how much this could actually help Amy. Especially if Amy gets to be cutely flustered and comfortable in a judgement-free and supportive environment.
While Tay's colony will, because Nazi infestation, lean queer and minority, it won't be just her and a lesbian harem. We don't plan on more than three girls for our poor demi protag anyways.
As established by the mid-arc interlude, Kaiser had Krieg and Rune on the look out for Taylor. Emma and Dean were out on her first patrol, and the area was normally a low-risk one, so they happened to be nearby. Spitefire was taking advantage of it being a Hero-patrolled area to shelter.OK, what is up with Taylor's luck in this fic. It's like she's a chaos magnet in this fic. A pair of Nazis, a pair of wards including Emma, and an independent parahuman, and she manages to run into all of them at the same time?
Not everything is the result of Contessa or the Crystal Space Pigeon. This one's on AccordObviously, it's a Contessa plot that she found that particular fruit, at that particular time. It's all part of her path to better coffee.
Taylor was established to be mildly religious last chapter, and her circumstances are the kind that can make people more religious. Also, not liking your implication that people who are actively religious are nuts. When did Taylor become a Religious cult nut? Did I miss it or has it been in the fic this whole time?
Inference. Amy more or less confirmed in her reaction to Vicky's teasing, and Emily is her best guess based the other girl's reactions.
See above. She is projecting. She is interested in freckled brunettes and assumes they must be interested too.
The PRT's response will get addressed in the Emma Interlude, but it boils down if they believe the by then third-hand accounting. As for how Emma's on patrol this fast? Combat cape, plus Piggot. After thinking on it a bit, I have to wonder how the PRT will take her accusation that Zenith caused her trigger and other assorted problems. The easiest solution to just put it down to drunken rambling, and toss things out. That later comes in to question when T keeps on that Zenith is the cause of her troubles.
Another thing, how did Emma get out on patrol so quick?
Yep. Though when it comes depends on if I can get into writing Against the Deep again, or this story keeps on rolling.@Sandy Sooo next chapter is the promised Emma Interlude? With QA info?
And everyone is overlooking the reason Taylor recruited her. Emily said she was living on the streets. That she's a cape was merely a bonus.Spitfire is more than her power. She's another pair of hands, a fairly friendly person, and a source of fresh social contact that Taylor desperately needs.
Also all of y'all are sleeping on her usefulness when it comes to fuelling mechanical/electrical things imo. XD
When Taylor gets around to steam pistons and other sources of power like thermal turbines Emily will be worth her weight in gold for heating boilers without needing to source costlier or dirtier fuels like coal.
Especially if we can use tinker-fu to reverse engineer fuel based on her super-napalm.
Nah, just a reference, Sandy explained it earlier in the thread....Kyne? As in, the Nordic goddess of storms?
Is this a subtle Elder Scrolls crossover/fusion?
