By the way how are we going to respond if Oriko and her allies caught us divided. I mean Archer and Homura can last long but I can't imagine them holding out and winning against Oriko and her allies while Mami and Gil can hold them and maybe win still doubtful on that but with Gil you can do almost impossible feats anyways.

Correct! Mami is only 15. But by that same logic, she's not old enough to be giving her life in the service of some weird alien bunnycat either. But I guess if you're old enough to die for the sake of the universe, you're old enough to have a beer.
No, this is the camel that broke the camel's... wait, what? The X that broke the camel's back. Can't remember. But this is the last straw! No compromise :V

We do have Canon precedent, after all.

Being meguca is suffering alcoholism.

Hey man, if you want to go on a moral crusade that's fine by me. But just remember, Kyouko is living in the burnt-out shell of her dad's church, Oriko and Kirika are actual serial killers, and one of the servants literally cannibalized the heart of their former master. I think you've got bigger things to complain about than Archer saying he would offer Mami a drink if he had one.

I should really stop trying to make joking comments that don't sound enough like a joke. I'm bad at this

[X] Wait for Sayaka and Hitomi and see what the mood of the group is before speaking (or not)

Not much we can do beside gritting our teeth and fighting a delaying action until reinforcements show up, really.

In fact, that's exactly what just happened. Archer stumbled upon Oriko & Lancer and beat a hasty retreat until Mami & Archer showed up.

Haaa I wish we could do more resistance without sacrificing much mana or lives to make Oriko think that we are not worth the effort to expend.

That, unfortunately, isn't possible anymore. Either they die soon, or they get lucky or grind us down through liberal use of command seals. They are far more alert than they had ever been after getting ripped to shreds by us. Speaking of which, where were Kirika and Berserkalot?

Either they were left out in this hunt or was doing something for Oriko I don't know. If it is the first one then wow Oriko got really confident there since she was only fighting Archer for the entire time. If it is the second then we should go on high alert and check our allies and non combatants we have.

Unfortunately, that isn't a question I can answer, because it would violate spoilersec. Hopefully we'll be at a point soon where you can put the pieces together for yourselves, but until then, mum's the word.

Status: Allies- Kyoko+Rider: At the church, fighting would be noticed by now.

Mami+Caster: Just sent Oriko+Mami fleeing while making them look like they lost a fight with an oversized blender.

Noncombatants- Madoka: Safe.

Sayaka: Unknown. Posesses potential to become a puella magi. Saber Master candidate. Possible target.

Hitomi: Unknown. No potential. Slim chance of being kidnapped as hostage. Possible but improbable target.

If she is doing something for Oriko, these two are the only possible targets in our social circle. Not asking for confirmation on any of these, though.

Day 10 Chapter 2
[X] Wait for Sayaka and Hitomi and see what the mood of the group is before speaking (or not).

You want to say more to Madoka, to reach out to her and make sure your words haven't soiled anything between the two of you, but you hold your tongue. To speak without first knowing how she's feeling would be a surefire recipe for disaster.

It's strange, though; you had been expecting to see Sayaka with her, and yet Madoka met you by herself, with you never having heard from Sayaka that she had gone home or that something had happened. You'll have to ask her about that when you see her.

And there she is, waiting by the bridge with Hitomi with a smile on her face and an enthusiastic wave of her arm. "Hey Homura!" she says, offering her hand to you in a... What's it called? A high-five? You hesitate; having never been offered one of these before, you aren't sure what to do. "Hey girl, don't leave me hanging here." Eventually, Sayaka completes the gesture for you, slapping her hand open-palm against yours.

You stare at your hand, relishing the tingling sensation from having it slapped. It's certainly a... Unique, gesture, and one fitting of a girl like Miki Sayaka. But you still have questions. "I thought you would be with Madoka this morning," you say to her. "What happened?"

"Sayaka-chan left early because she needed to grab a clean uniform from home," Madoka says.

"Yeah, silly old me forgot to grab one before I went over, so I had to run out on breakfast in order to make it in time."

Madoka nods, then turns to you. "I really appreciate you sending Sayaka-chan to check in on me, Homura-chan. I'm sorry if I worried you before."

Hitomi remains silent throughout this exchange. A certain degree of reservedness is to be expected from her, you've learned, but she's still wearing that same look of shame on her face, the one that seems to come up every time she's around Sayaka. Did she actually speak to Sayaka like she said she would, you wonder, though you say nothing. If she hasn't spoken up by now, then it really isn't your place to force her hand any further. If she misses her chance to be with Kamijou Kyousuke, then it only becomes your business if that somehow negatively impacts Madoka's safety.

Fortunately, Sayaka once again comes to your rescue by addressing an issue you don't want to. She nudges Hitomi with her elbow, cheerfully saying "You still worried about things with Kyousuke?" Hitomi nods, trying even harder now to hide her shame. "Come on Hitomi, relax. Like I said, we'll work something out and everything'll be a-okay!"

Madoka, having been absent yesterday, is noticeably confused, but just as she is about to speak up, Sayaka comes in with the social save, adding for Madoka's benefit "You weren't here yesterday so you wouldn't have heard the news, but the doctors say that Kyousuke's gonna make a full recovery. Hitomi here is still just a little bit jittery about it, seeing how bad things had been looking for awhile." She reaches out and gives Madoka a big hug "So don't you go worrying about us, okay? Everything's gonna work out just fine, got it?"

Madoka smiles, adding her own "That's great news, Sayaka-chan! I'm so glad," to the conversation.

Seeing Madoka smiling, you can't help but smile yourself. But the smiling stops when you see Tomoe-san waiting at the school gates for the four of you, and you realize just how badly the fight between her and Mikuni Oriko could have gone. Her left arm is in a sling, and most of her face is either marred by bruises or covered in bandages.

"Whoa, Mami-san, what the heck happened to you?" Sayaka exclaims, discarding all sense of decorum when addressing the blonde.

"I suffered a rather nasty fall on my way home from school yesterday," Tomoe-san quickly replies. She's been practicing her excuse, you can tell, and you wonder how many times she has had to make up similar excuses during the three years in which she worked Mitakihara by herself. Shooting you a knowing look she adds "In fact, I'm feeling a little bit nervous about walking home by myself today. Would you be able to walk with me, Akemi-san, to make sure I don't fall again?"

Do you

[X] Accept her offer

Because you never split the party. BTW, can Archer use Avalon on Mami? Being ambushed by Berserkure would suck for us if only one of us is battle-ready.

Dude Gil could have healed her with his healing items in his Gate. Why do you think he has Rank A Item Creation in the first place. Seriously Gil your master is injured the least you go do is to give healing potions from the Gate.

He can, but Mami'll have to wait for Kamijou to be done using it. Mami does have some magic at work at knitting her body back together, but it'll take awhile since her magic isn't spec'd for healing.

Because she didn't ask for one, because she doesn't know that he has that, which is why we need to have that sit-down where everyone gets to know everyone else.

[X] Reject her offer
-[X] Telepath Mami about what she wants

A good write-in would work better than this, but... accepting puts me off. Like, the wording of what Mami said, and then us going along? I have a feeling that will come off as quite weird for Madoka; may harm things between Homura and her further. Or maybe I'm being paranoid and looking into this way too hard with my eyepatch vision. Someone can convince me

You know I would have criticize Mami for not knowing her servants abilities but then remember servants and grail wars are kinda new to them. But come on does she even question why Archer is wary and sometimes scared of her servant or even why Archer was hoping for him in some of his battles . At least learn his basic abilities for all I know Gil is just that guy that summons portals and shoots items from them like nothing to her. She will not be capable of comprehending what Gil is actually firing in the first place more so if she tries know what really lies beyond those portals. It's like giving a child EA and just telling them it is a powerful sword then that child would then just use EA as a melee weapon.

@SVS why haven't you just started another thread to continue this one? That way you'd have proper author alerts and would be able to thread mark your own posts.

Remember, in-canon these girls are not the best when it comes to asking the questions they really should be asking before getting themselves into things.

At the time I took over QM responsibilities, I had wanted to keep using the same thread in the hopes of drawing back some of the posters from the first four pages so that I would be coming in with an established userbase. It was only until later when I realized that not having ownership of the thread was creating problems where my players weren't always getting updates, but by that time we had already gone on for long enough that I wasn't entirely sure about creating a new thread because I didn't want to make it seem like I was trying to attention whore.

I'm still debating whether or not I should move to a new thread under my ownership, but if I were to do that it would have to be at a better stopping point than this; probably at the start of day 15/season 2/however you want to think of it.

Because you never split the party.

Well, the party is constantly being split up, unfortunately. That's kind of our main problem in fact.

Also, not related to the current vote, but I'm more and more in favour of letting Sayaka contract - or at least saying that she wants to we won't try to dissuade her. At this point she's in a good place mentally speaking, most of the Kamijou issues have been lessened between healing him and forcing Hitomi to fess up, and she'd potentially get a Saber to ground her - hopefully the bit about blind summoning netting you a compatible Servant would still apply.

Because let's face it, we can't go on like that. Luckily the worst-case scenario - that is Kirika using the chance of everyone being distracted to gank Madoka or Sayaka - didn't happen, but that's still something that could potentially happen at any time. Our party is constantly split up, with a lot of soft targets for team Oriko to pick apart. In a way, it's kind of a miracle she's been so conservative up until now.

Remember, in-canon these girls are not the best when it comes to asking the questions they really should be asking before getting themselves into things.

Also, Gilgamesh is the kind to shrug off questions and say something outrageous instead.
