Come for the Raifus, Stay for the Plot: Girls' Frontline - Baking Time

What th-

I got Kord. As a drop. On my 85th run or so. I was not expecting that.

I was only 13 runs away from getting enough medals to buy her, too.

...and I just got my first every Gr G36 (the meido) from a routine quick production.

I guess RNGeesus decided to smile on me today for some inexplicable reason.

Okay, so it takes 150 cores to raise a 5-star doll to x5 dummy links without dupes.

I guess I don't need another good HG that badly, so...I'll buy a second Kord I guess?

For fucks sake, some of these Shattered Connection EX maps are bullshit. Intangible Sigh I EX is my current source of frustration, because stepping on the completely normal node to the left of Rubble I Type 1 dramatically increases the alert range of one of the super ELID bosses. And I must emphasize, there's absolutely zero indication this is going to happen before you step there and fuck up the entire mission.

This isn't a puzzle, it's random bullshit and terrible game design.

No, I don't want someone to immediately link me a guide. I want to vent my goddammed frustration, not have my hand held through the level.

Edit: And of course you can't check the initial alert range of the giant ELID's before starting the level, because god forbid the game let me plan a strategy before spending resources.

Polarized Light fixes a some of the arbitrary difficulty spikes and bullshit puzzle maps. They gave EN the guide link because a lot of folks on CN and KR got ticked off with how arbitrary the maps were.

I've actually seen people complain that PL is too easy, especially on account of it not having an EX mode.

If you are referring to P22 and HS2000, then you should get them. Standout pistols the both of them, great skills and great tiles.

If you have time to farm, I recommend buying P22. HS2000 is really easy to farm off 4-1 hard.

Personally I'm ignoring my own advice to farm on 3-2 hard. Kord is great, but I like HK33, PP-19 and Night Vodka more.

I already have HS2000.

I don't have the patience for more farming after I get my 500 platinum medals, especially since I still have to round up all the intel points and give ranking a try.

Having a guide hold my hand through bullshit level design doesn't make it stop being bullshit level design, IMO. Also video guides typically suck, IMO. I'm far more likely to go do something else than deal with a video guide for a nonsensically designed level. I can probably watch the confidential files story bits on YouTube later anyways.

Even with guides, some of the enmy echelons don't like to act in a way the guides want them to. I feel like this is more prevalent in EN compared to the older servers.

there are several cases where we have received content on a later version of the game client than the one it was written for.

It just hit me that with only 4 days left in this even I'm probably not going to have the time or resources to farm a second Kord, HS2000, and P22. I have just enough medals to buy a duplicate of one of them, so I'm wondering who I'll get the most use out of duping. Any advice?

I am officially Grumpy about the welfare system because you can't downgrade Platinum medals to Nova.

"Hey let's have not 1, but 2 maps that are basically just cutscenes where you watch KCCO roll over NPC forces". This is honestly indicative of the event difficulty.

You can literally clear a good portion of the event with AR-15Mod + 1 HG.
The event originally started what, late January?
I'd chalk it up to "Dev schedule got screwed by Covid"

For anyone who wants to kill the Striders in ranking:

M200, Carcano, Gr Mk23, Grizzly, and P22 if you have her (buy her from the shop, throw Cores and Combat Reports at her, don't worry about her skill level). You'll also want the Taunt Fairy.

Basically, pile all the damage buffs you have on hand onto M200 and Carcano, and watch the Strider melt.

Doesn't that have the caveat that you need to wait for them to jump before filling them full of lead?
