We have the Southerners in a bad spot and a good opportunity to finish them off, but a primary reason we can do this is the large disparity in forces. A horde of 10,000 cavalry is somewhat uniquely capable of completely strangling the logistical network necessary to support this disparity.

Although there could certainly be some unintended side effects of this I can't think of an in character reason to not pick this choice.

I'm pretty sure Oshha was talking about the lowlander Hero who is now fully supporting them, not that they have another double hero in their camp.
A Martial/Culture hero? Did we get a warrior poet? Someone who can invent epic poetry to chronicle the history of this war and others as he defends his home from invasion by a boarfolk horde? And at the same time as another culture hero for the purposes of a rivalry over who is the best writer?
Omake idea!... Well after I write my paper tonight so... Tomorrow? … Or maybe after finals... I'll just put the idea out there and try to get to it if I get the chance.

@Oshha, our opinion of the Free Forluc was Very Friendly in the update before last, and we have since sent a Diplomatic Expedition to them and forged a formal alliance with them.

The Norsemen convinced me that was how your palace economy was actually working after we discussed different economy types on the discord.
Eh...I wouldn't count the Forluc Civil War as a defensive and the whole conflict is an expanded version of that. Maybe if there was another group helping the Slaver Forluc, but even then, I am hesitant to call this war a defensive one since it a Forluc civil war with both sides having a couple of ideological allies helping them out.
Huh. Apparently it was. It must have been a change I made after posting the update since it isn't in my word docs.
Anyway, I have updated the latest update to say "Very Friendly".
