I mean, I love this plan, but is it wise to find even more civs to fight diplomance and shinies to obtain before we even finish putting our house in order? Let's try and get infrastructure 3/4 of the way done before we go exploring. And then, when we're good and ready, send missionaires.
That's going to take a long time. Centuries in-game. And even if we do find someone, they are not going to be close to our borders, so the danger of warfare is greatly reduced.

The only thing on that list that I have issue with is yet more Training. I would like to trade out Train Sacred Warriors for Send Missionaries as I do want to integrate the Urthdysh too, but as I said before (and I'll say again) building boats and exploring is fine too. We have multiple actions after all.
We need to have a bigger army by the time we fight our next war. I want to do train warriors once every two or three turns until we get like 15 Martial. And we didn't do it last turn.
 
I'd like to diplo the coltyre confederation, whether through missionaries or just diplo
gotta remember we have a diplo hero Urthdysh have 3 collectively coltyre has no diplo hero so diplo actions to them should be advantageous

@Oshha which hero type does religious conversion

And? You think that's going to piss Urthryn off, when she's in love with Arthryn and wants to learn more about our religious reforms, laws and culture? She probably be ecstatic to have some recognition by Arthryn.

Now, with that said, governmental take over is another matter. But there wouldn't be any problem whatsoever in converting some of her people so they worship both of them and understand Arthryn's teachings.

Theres no way that they would value boats?

They have a major river going through their capital which goes up to Forluc territory and down to Arthwyd territory so while they wouldn't be able to get a sea navy, a river navy would be valuable for the Urthdysh.
 
Our nautical tech is mainly useful for rivers, and they do have a river through their forest. Rock River that flows to Rockbay.
Oh wow they do! The line was so faint I missed it before.
Still not all that useful for them given as far as we know all it does is let them trade with us more easily ;)
Still we'd better make sure we've settled that river along the coast, wouldn't do to let them get maritime trade.
E: Well us and the Forluc, kinda useful if they're trying real hard to be the new trade hub I guess.

Which only exists before her followers believe it does. Piss off the foresters enough then they could start ignoring or omitting or downplaying that aspect.
 
We should send a diplomatic expedition into Urthdysh next turn to talk about missionaries and our nations relationship with each other, we shouldn't just assume the leadership will be OK with us doing what we like without even asking permission first. There is no particular reason we have to send missionaries in right now so we might as well be polite, treat them like a peer even if they aren't quite there yet and courteously ask for permission to try to make large lasting changes to their culture.

Seriously if we want to ship this then we should be calm, take it slowly and not come on to strongly and cause a mess right at the start by accident.

I would think it's a threat, which is why I want people to ask about missionaries instead of just sending them in, gives the Urthdysh a chance to say no and stop us screwing ourselves.

Actually merging of the states/religions is another matter but I don't see any reason why initial preaching would piss them off.

With that said, just as their learning about us, we're learning about them. I really doubt our priestesses, who worship a goddess of Love and Redemption and have stories of Arthryn showing mercy to the All-Seeress and adopting her as a Daughter, would go hardline here. But hey, that's only what I think. Let's wait on the GM.
