The pick no heir option probably will not lead to leadership going back to the priest council either, considering their failure in the peoples eyes before Eve took over.

Have the people after choose the heir, we shall make a pope yet.

I don't think we are as pressed for martial ability now and I don't see one heroic and two terrible stats being better than two excellent and one below average.

So if we ever lose a war, we could end up losing 2 Legitimacy immediately? That's definitely gonna hurt.

Bah.

Once she's dead, we can just put the Priests back or maybe turn into something else that isn't a monarchy.

Blah. We're becoming like the Ymaryn. Absolutely ferocious in war of defenses, but shatter if we don't win.

Despite heavy losses, things were going well. Cadyn and many others might be dead, but so was Urth and many of his walking dead.
I mean technically they're all dead :V:V:V
As for the innovations, you got Fired Bricks and Silver Smelting, but if you have been reading the thread, you would already know about the second one.
Sounds like its time for a damn impressive statue.

Fuck sticking with any kind of monarchy. Theocracy ho!
I mean, we are currently a theocratic monarchy. There's a decent chance we will remain a theocratic monarchy.

What we are influencing here are the succession laws.

It's the way SV likes to play, so we naturally gravitate towards that gameplay. Especially since we haven't had a Civ game in a while.

Gwnlyn slayed two heroes personally! Damn! Even in PoC, our kings only get to slay the enemy martial hero once.

Hopefully this will lead to either going back to a more collective rule or, worst to worst, the creation of some sort of elective monarchy where the influential choose one to rule above them.
Regardless, I don't want to make a precedent of someone unilaterally choosing the next leader of the People.

We should also get to work on the Midlanders after this war is over, to change our opinion of them from "lowland barbarians" to "People"

I wanted to know if you'll treat the lead poisoning as any human ailment, apparently you will cheap out on the 'my arthwyd are peak humans with magic!'.

First of all, you are being needless rude and obnoxious without any provocation.

Secondly, once you are complaining about things you have made up. As other posters have already pointed out to you, I have not 'cheap outed' with the Arthwyd and the Arthwyd are not peak human I have made it abundantly clear that the blessing of Arthryn has not changed anything to make the Arthwyd beyond natural human limits and it is only made their default slightly better in some aspects. They are certainly not peak human and I have defined their limits quick clearly as it only gives higher than average intelligence, toughness and strength as the base effects and all other effects are logically deprived from those basic boosts. A blessed member of the People is born tougher, stronger and smarter than a regular person, but that is all.

Thirdly, magic is a thing and will continue to be a thing. This is a fantasy setting. A low fantasy setting yes, but it still has deities that are real, magic that is real and sapient species which are not human. You don't like that? Tough luck because that isn't changing. The quest is set in a fantasy setting with fantasy elements which can include things such as healing magic and divine healing. If that makes you unhappy, you can either put up with it and enjoy other aspects of the quest or it can be a deal-breaker for you and you can stop partaking in the quest. I don't mind either way.

Fourthly, this is not the first time that you have tried to claim that I am a bad QM and that I give special treatment to creator's pets or otherwise do things that you imply are bad. You got a problem? Either come out and say it outright or leave the thread. Cut out the crap where you like to make sly statements where you imply that I am bad QM.

We could very well form a precedence for how our future rulers are chosen. That's why "Neither" is a valid opion.

It won't change your government type nor will it determine how you pick any future leaders after Evalyn's successor. It will probably influence that in the future, but it will probably be player choice like it was with the latest government change.

As everyone not picking an heir because they want to go back to priest rule, do note that just because Evalyn doesn't name an heir, that doesn't mean that Gwynlyn or Cerwyn or someone won't take the title of Cadlon once Evalyn dies. It just means that she won't name a successor and her successor will be determined by other people once she dies.

really good stats, much better then Cerwyn for post war leader and should be able to with our second vassal.

Choosing her daughter has some bad implications, but i want the rebuild to go well and not have to deal with a civil war or succession crisis after the last few turns of war.

This is actually what I am aiming for.
Really hoping the priests are the one to choose, because then we go from having an elected monarch to having more of a pope.
And waging wars in the name of the Supreme Pontiff, chosen from the high priestess of Arthryn, sounds like a wonderful time.

That reminds me of a question I had, out of curiosity, if we he had gone with monotheism and made it to this point, how would the magic we have differ? How would the magic battles between the divine differ?
Would our heroes that became gods, actually be called her angels? Her prophets? Basically, how would things have went on terms of religion and mystic if we went on with Arthryn alone?

Can't say no to that admin, also I think that it will benefit the civ the most.

Hunh, I have to say, archer Necromancer lord was a surprise. Also a surprise is that he got whopped 8 ways to Sunday like he did. Genuinely figured he'd extend the age another round or two but dice said nay.
As for the Midlanders being unhappy...Hunh, either they really liked the Lich King or just didn't like us going 'you're ours now!'. Well, hopefully Gwynlyn can sort that out.

well that was a shock...we killed the lich king, and thus can now focus on the boar people in the north and reclaim everything...so now we have to really push for that as well as getting defenses up and running, but still this should be damn useful.

even if our newest vassal is being a pain because they hate us, we did kill the undead abomination of course.
