In a nation's perspective, the correct council and advisory board was worth its weight in stars and planets.
The right council and advisors were above all, capable of acting independently, thoughtfully and above all intelligently with the right deal of work required for the operation of the state.
Be it managing commerce, intelligence and the Military.
"Now let's just send out the Invitations…and job offers.
-----------------------------------
It was one thing to send a request out…it was another to have it responded to with prompt and circumstance.
It was a final slap to the face to have it be one of the better diplomats in the sector.
Today was going to be a really good day.
Because when you saw Saera Harre enter with her diplomatic guard and ornate prominence of what can only be an unbroken Old Earth Family line of survivors and diplomatic power.
The Harre Family was of Old Earth Stock, the kind of people that only married people FROM Earth for most of their existence.
Even during the Interregnum when that number kept getting smaller and smaller.
"Director General Sigmandottor?" She said in her flowing dress and makeup, the covering was necessary to hide her head from thermal snipers and be a larger status symbol.
That Gaudy Ruby on her forehead crown was also selling it rather violently that she was rich and important.
"Lady Harre, a pleasure." You said.
She was a high member of the Principality of Versona, one of the many many vassal states that have yet to be incorporated into the Hegemoniy's wider bureaucratic functions and tax bases.
The Wonders of Grandfather's Reckless military Conquests. You hoped to be just as responsible one day.
"You know for someone with an obsession with War and Violence, I must say that when you came to my planet to learn the arts of court and diplomacy…I expected you to keep some of the decorum." She said.
"I do…I just chose not to use it most of the time." You said.
"Arrogance…and foolishness with the face of an angel." She complained. "You are lucky I considered your offer better than the others in my region."
"Come now…the pay is good and the work is up to your standards." You said.
"Very True…I will Unload my effects and begin work in a week's time." She said.
"Any surprises?" You asked.
"None you shouldn't worry about." She said.
Oh now that was unsettling.
Oh well, no more surprises…onto the next Council Member.
"I'm sorry you have me at a disadvantage?" You asked looking at the Woman in White laying on your desk.
"Saera-242 agent of Versona." She said not even missing a beat.
A GOD DAMNED CLONE!
"Explain yourself, agent? And Why do you look like Lady Saera?" You said.
"She's my template…I'm one of her 2,345 Clones made for her personal use as per her rights and privileges as a Member of the Order of Dolly. Not that you have use of clones, your family has a poor relationship with the Order." She said, being more and more provocative with her movement.
"They literally killed and replaced my Great Great Great Grandmother, and caused a Civil War!" You said.
"Details…but understand I am here for the sake of your nation, as a request and order from my template. I am loyal to her and as she is loyal to you, your orders are hers." She said.
"Qualifications?" You asked trying to change the subject.
She started to unzip her outfit slightly. "A full espionage package, information gathering, and military infiltration training. Along with minor genetic tailoring for increased…"
She leaned against your ear and grabbed your head. "Effectiveness."
You were red at the Provocation.
"I'd rather not?" You said holding yourself together.
"Shame…I'd like to show you how to identify a clone from her…but we have plenty of time for that later." She said.
"Get out of my office." You said.
"Shame…the desk is big enough for two." She said.
"God damn it are all of you like this?!" You said.
"Just the fun ones." She said leaving.
You needed more coffee.

Ahh, The General you requested.
A Master of the Craft.
Wonderful…
Hero of the Seige of Vincent 4, and Battle of Betta 5
Holder of the most Prestigious Award of the Military, The Star on High.
And A Veteran of your Parent's Wars against the Pirate Clans.
General (Or Admiral, you couldn't remember) Desmond Harthorne was above all a stabilizing figure in an uncertain time and place.
"General, I hope spending more time with the Fleets haven't been a drain upon you and your talents." You asked.
"No…It has not thankfully been that…I am yours to command Director, and will be for an entire age if need be." He said calmly.
"Thank you for being here…I need a stabilizing influence in my court." You said.
"Indeed…I shall make the needed preparations." He said.
"Thank you for coming back Sir?" You said not sure of what else to say.
"I would not have enjoyed any other request on the matter." He said. "Now…I must return to my duty station and prepare the reports."
"35…not counting the Three fields I rediscovered." The Good Doctor said.
"Oh…a Braggart?" You said.
"No…A Professional." She said. "You wouldn't know anything about the inner workings of a Genome Splicer and reconstructor, or a Bionic Razorhand…but I do and for lack of a better option, I have to make it clear…for you."
"Make what clear?" You said snorting.
"I've gone on 6 High-Risk Tech Expeditions alone and have come back…that I am a professional in science and in situations unbefitting of someone who does not work in the field." She said.
"Oh…OH…so you want me to boost your Ego when you feel like it?" You said.
"Yes." She said. "I also want to look at the Synth skin for-"
"Out of the fucking question." You said.
"It's not a toy you know it is a delicate matter of engineering and science." She said.
"Get out of my office. You have your damned Job." You said.
"I feel wonderful now...as long as I can work unmolested...we will have a FINE Relationship." She said.
-------------------------
You sat in the Park, quiet...and alone. "How long have you been there?" You said.
"Long enough." He said.
"Good to see you again Old buddy." You said.

Im assuming its diplomacy, intrigue, military, and research/learning respectably. Do their dice provide a bonus on any specific tasks(i.e. the bonus to only one task) a general bonus within that roll category (i.e. military) or are we going to find out over time as we learn more about our advisors?

How does cloning work in this world? Is it like the kimonoans from star wars, are they built like fallout synths, mitosis from the original? I need lore.

...And the padme expy decided to essentially make an organization of nothing but clones of herself.
Here is some probably lifesaving advice. Don't tick them off.

Ironically this is one of the most interesting sci fi stories I've seen in awhile, just for the sheer love Cyber gives to all the space opera and sci fi tropes.

The comments and the update made we think this. Take this 5000 clones.
A World of Me
"I like me" Gary said to himself. "I like you too" came the reply of millions.
-Recorded Holovid from trip to Garyburg 3
~30 years before the collapse of the Earth Empire
Overseeing the ocean world Neptunia IV was so much more difficult when he was just starting out the colony. Just him and his best friend, himself. Buying the necessary cloning equipment had wiped out his family's entire life savings and put him in serious debt. But wouldn't you know it, the flora of this world made perfect materials for the cloning process, within days he had the first batch of flash clones available, they'd only last a few months and were stupid, but they'd get the manual labor done while he worked on the important stuff, making more clones!
After two months the first habitats were built beneath the Burgundy Oceans and he was able to establish the rest of his cloning equipment. With it he would live forever!
~200 years after the collapse of the Earth Empire
So cloning clones isn't a very good idea, Gary-299-13-CD thought to himself as he looked at his mutated gills and fins. "Must have been some fish got in the cloning soup" the Doctor Gary said sporting some very green skin. Garryburgtopia had been around for a few hundred years at this point, the original Gary having died ages ago, but his legacy lives on in his 3,014,456 clone selves. Their army had crushed the debtors when they came to collect and now Gary's were returning to work farming, training, and of course cloning.
~600 years later
Garyburgtopia was a strange place. The uniformity of the buildings and the vehicles clashed horribly with the strange diversity of citizens, which were clones of all things. The Interregrnum had barely touched this strange red planet, they still had many of the pre-collapse techs, from terraforming to military ships, even porn! But no one wanted to touch it for fear of what lies in the water. A little bit ago Gary-Nation Prime XD stated they were pulling back their armies and fleets and consolidating what they had (which was weird since they never really took territory, just stole stuff, graffitied some monuments and left) and then something weird happened, the planet duplicated itself! No really , the water rose up from the planet, grabbed the moon, and turned into a near-perfect replica of itself, only this time the landmasses spelled out "GARY". After this no one wanted to go anywhere near Gary Del-Sol Prima, and its planets. Eventually several religious orders (read: All OF THEM) decided the Church of Gary would be best left sealed away so they put an impenetrable shield around the system using a combination of technology, psionics, divine power and blatant plot magic.
Thus was the story of Gary and his Clones…. Or Was it?
We have all these colonized planets, what proportion of them have mega fauna/flora (I.e. the trees of Pandora from avatar, dinosaurs, space whales, subnautica leviathans?). If we do have mega fauna/flora what proportion of them can be weaponized?
