So, just realized something. Both 'Laska and Boomerlaska are really clumsy. Why? Because Boomerlaska is new enough that her underwater-optimized design makes her... awkward on the surface.

I know she's not in the fic, I'm just visualizing the meeting between both ship spirits named after that giant chunk of ice in the north that likes to call itself a state.

Ohios are... really clumsy on the surface. And I said clumsy. Boomerlaska isn't a dork, just prone to tripping over thin air, and stumbling through doors when she tries to open them.

I think that's just cruisers being cruisers- which rather like lose material in a nebula gravitate together to form planetiods, and those then orbit suns.

In other words, they definitely share dock space, and if we keep asking questions a Tico's gonna hit us with her AN/SPY-1 of doom. (More importantly, is it funny I visualize high-power radar as being a glowing eye and most modern-day American shipgirls having a tomahawk on their belt for no reason?)
