BatQuest: A CK2 Batman Quest

Just realized we're building a not!coil, in the sense that Bruce right now is very much built to be a 'Mission Control'. I suppose Bruce could wrangle up a private militia of vigilantes, what with his exorbitant wealth. Makes more sense than going full Batman, considering his relatively poor martial.

Oh sure, but at this point, i'm resigned to either:

A: become okay at everything, and stay a jack of all trades, master of none

or

B: become specialized in intellectual abilities, as we've voted currently.

Yes, but the full quote is, "Jack of all trades, master of none. Still sometimes better than a master of one." As long as Batman is proficient and is able to use his surroundings, theatrics, and subterfuge he can probably be good the majority of the time.

Busting into the IRS building with a folder of proof , dressed up as a bat and shouting theatrically accounting balance numbers

So I just caught up and I like the idea of this being a standalone Batman universe not connected to a wider DC universe, or at least connected to where where my fav Superman either doesn't exist or is in his Golden Age scale of power.

Also, I think someone mentioned that this quest isn't about Bruce Wayne as Batman but beyond or something like that. Is this true? Are we going to be capable of having more than one Batman? If so could me in. An entire Batman dynasty?

On another note, I'm actually glad forensic accounting won. Normal fighter Batman or Cathulu magic Batman are fine, but I found this more interesting.

If the quest lasts long enough then yeah, it'll turn into a generational thing. Say, Bruce actually lives to see the 2000's then he'll be too old to continue as the Batman. Might be someone else takes up the mantle, then. Maybe a young street punk named Terry McGinnis?

I'm excited to see if this means Bruce will work closely with Harvey Dent and Gordon on mob cases. I loved the dynamic Batman had with Harvey before he became Two Face. They were a solid troika cracking down on mundane crime. It makes Harvey's eventual/possible disfigurement and turn to crime that much more tragic and compelling. I feel that Batman is really compelling when he's got that connection to villains and reaches out to them to help them. He'll beat the shit out of them, but he'll offer them a hand if they actually need or deserve it.

Any chance the alt-Batfamily could be a genuine PI organization? Maybe it could even be so above board that Harvey could work for us.

I sincerely doubt it will be a standalone batverse.

The vote for Joe Chill feels complex to me

On one hand, preserving the innocent and accepting the killers should be prepared to be killed in turn is acceptable, and would have Bruce focus further on protecting people and not lead to the constant infamous 'save the villain' motif he seems to have, which has messed him up many times.

But could also lead to him becoming less of a hero and losing what makes him righteous in the first place, and apathetic to death as well..
