Especially since as a meme Henderson doesn't really fit Vanilla Townie. I'm betting you're a fool, but may as well see.
 
You know, I'm inclined to believe Mortifer, but I get annoyed with people who disparage the Vanilla Townie in general. The VT is the best role in the game. Because they can play any way they want as long as they scumhunt.

It's not about having abilities unavailable to power roles. It's about having play options that power roles shouldn't be exercising if they want to survive. A proper power role doesn't want to draw attention to themselves from the mafia or from the town unless they have information to give in the case of a cop. A doctor wants to stay hidden as long as possible so they can protect people.

A Vanilla Townie can go to, forgive my pun, town on people. Draw attention, force others to react and if they die, it's helpful to the town that way. After all, by causing a disruption, you get to see how the town reacts.

Most of the game is played during the day phase. Most of the game is about the arguing. Vanilla Townies have the most important ability of all. The Vote to Lynch. Yes, everyone has that ability, but the town literally can not win without it.

Sure, you might not have as much information as a VT, but the point of the game is figuring it out. So, either you're good at figuring shit out or you're not. In my experience, a person who hates the VT role tends to be the latter.

We may not have to tag them, but doing so alerts them to their name being mentioned. It allows them to defend themselves rather than sit silent.
