Bad Blood (Mafia)

Wait, what?

How would that work?

Pinging @MrEgret for a response.
If I were to guess, maybe the double voter votes for the runner up, making the vote a tie between them and me.

As for a claim, I'm going to say Tavern Keeper. Well, technically, my role's name is the name of my tavern, the Blue Boar. It's essentially a glorified Mason, where I have to pick and choose one person per night to invite them in. That's why I have to hold off on acting until I have a better feel for who's scum and who's not. Invite the wrong person, and the whole Mason is compromised.

Day One End
In the end, the debaters decide that among them @MrEgret is the most suspicious. They find the normally gregarious tavernkeeper's silence a mark of suspicion, and when the final count is made, nearly a full half of their number have voted that he face the noose.

The man is silent as he is lead up to the platform, and the noose draped carefully around his head. The anonymous man wearing the executioner's hood asks him if he has any final words and, after the condemned man's response, pulls the lever.

The trap door drops out, the portly man's body falling for a moment before stopping suddenly, and Amadeus Ingram dies painlessly of a broken neck.

As the townspeople file away for the night, some note that the ominous red sign has been replaced with an updated version.

"Night One Ends , or when everyone with a Night Ability has used it or noted their intent not to use it."

How... helpful.

There is a piece of paper on the tavern owner's body, tucked away in his pants pocket. A single cryptic note is scribbled there. It reads as follows:

"Well, I probably had this coming for not speaking as often as I should have in a life-or-death situation. Good hunting, fellow townsmen. So long, and thanks for all the fish."

Nobody knows what compelled him to write that last part, as there is no fish market within seven miles of the town.

Day Two Start
The day dawns, and the townspeople gather, counting their number and daring to hope. Their hopes are not met.
Two of the debaters are found to be missing. One, Thomas Riddle, is found Slaughtered in his home, his skull split open by some heavy blade.
The other, Gavin Roker, is found in far worse condition. Torn and shredded, viscera strewn everywhere, it was as if the man had been Savaged by some awful beast.

A freshly painted version of the ominous sign hangs where all can see it as the debate begins.

"Day Two Ends ."

I'm going to venture it's maybe Bailey who was really Voldemort all along. So... Congrats on eliminating a Dark Wizard, killers?

Oh, this is war.

I will find you, you little piece of shit. I will find you and hang you like the dog that you are.

Fucking mongrel.

So, we have a suicidal town dead, and another town who I, er, have no idea what they actually did yesterday. That... doesn't tell us much. Or me, at least; I'll check back through the thread after I've gotten some sleep to see what I inevitably missed.

So, we're down to 22 people. 11 need to be voting by the end of the day in order to have a lynch. Mr. Egret was telling the truth and was town.

With 25 people to start, the most scum we'd likely have would be 7. I'm leaning more toward 4-5 myself. 2 kills indicates multiple killing factions. A slaughterer and a savager.

Interesting.

@Khawy, explain?

Alternatively, the slaughterer could be a vigilante or a serial killer. It's also possible that a kill was blocked last night, so we may have more factions to deal with than is immediately apparent; two kills per night strikes me as rather low for a 25 player game.

Errrr... I take it you have a night story to tell?

Someone else killed Gattsu.

I wanted to be the one that kill him, or well lead a lynch mob on him. Fuck that asshole for ruining everything.

And before any of you say anything, this is just a thing between me and him. We had a contest on which one of us is going to hang the other first.

We have at minimum, the two kills then.

With 25 people, assuming max kills per night of 3 with the lynch, that places game ending at the earliest (assuming not all scum are found and lynched), Day 6.

Seems like we have our work cut out for us then.

...Egret REALLY should have claimed way sooner instead of far too late. Like, half an hour before lynch time.

...What he said.

I don't think 'savaged' lends itself to a Vigilante, BTW. Sounds more like something a Werewolf would do.

Might not have helped. A number of us probably didn't think he was actually guilty in the first place. Nani admitted to being more interested in just killing him, but I'm sure there's others.

Then it's a shame no one else had the role. Getting town organized in secret would kinda have been critical to a smoother investigation.

Or an epic clusterfuck had a mafia been invited, but that's a risk to take.

I thought you were supposed to be Griffith, not Gilgamesh.
Gattsu is mine. Mine, dammit.

Hmmm. That reminds me.

[x] Hang Mortifer

So I suppose it's time to take Tired Old Memes to a new level and instead of killing you, I should kill the ones you care about.

Was it you, you skelly bastard? Did you kill my Gattsu?
