From what I gathered the music box hurts him somewhat mentally, and Eileen will definitely notice.

I doubt she would be happy if we did that, and besides, she is a hunter of hunters, she knew this day was coming for a long time so I doubt he can catch her off guard.

Let's see what she has in mind, but be ready to throw a bayonet to give her some back up if she needs it.

He doesn't seem to trust Eileen either, in his current state. But he's more rational at the moment than he was when the Paleblooded Hunter confronted him: Trying to root him in reality via memories of his family might work.

Guys he associates the music box with his daughters and wife. Is he going to want to be reminded of them in this time, by this hulking weird smelling man?

[x] Infinite Bayonet Works. He's already murdered his own wife at this point so even if he could become sane again it wouldn't be a mercy.

We have no indication that that is the case, and Bloodborne's entire deal is ridiculous tragedy.

Frankly I'd be disappointed if he didn't kill her, because that would mean that this thread is just the author's fix-fic where everything is solved by kindness and a reasonability that our psychotic murderpriest should not possess.

The music box calmed him down in the past. I think this is our best shot, hopefully. Since the only way I think we are saving Gascoigne is reminding him that he has a daughter he needs to return to.

Because if he sees it with the Guy Who Smells Weird, he might think we've harmed his daughters. He at least knows Eileen.

I was going to advocate just holding it behind our back in case he tried to attack, but this works better.

I'm of the belief that the beast you run across him hacking apart long after it's dead killed Viola, and he ran it down and was in the process of brutalizing it as revenge for reasons he can't quite remember.
