He's not been emotionally open in what likely was simultaneously centuries and only a couple years; just pushing on isn't going to help much. Gotta give him alittle moment to catch up again.

Not exactly a fan of votes like these

They split the original vote, not even getting into the lack of imagination involved
 
Loving this quest...bizarre to find myself actually fond of Abridged!Anderson.

I can't help but wonder if we couldn't convince Maria to at least visit Gherman. He clearly adores her, but she currently thinks that Hope turned out like he wanted. Maybe if she knew that all he really wanted was her, not someone else with her face...

I am pretty certain Maria is trapped in her dream just like Gherman is trapped in his. After all, she did die in the real world. She can probably only exist in The Nightmare.

We gave her a bell that might let us summon her for the assaults we're planning. Maybe it would work in the dream too. Though we'd want to ask for her permission first, given that teleporting her in might backfire if she doesn't want to see him again.

We could also try giving Gherman a bell too...he might actually come if he knew she would be there.

You know, I agree with you. But then I do it anyway because sometimes I really like what someone said, but feel like it's missing one specific distinction. Like this one.
And I think other people usually feel the same way when they do it.
I mean. I could think of a clever way to basically say the same thing using different words, but that's still just retreading the ground. And given that I like the general gist of the original point enough to keep most of it in my vote, I doubt I want to change the content too much.
So yes. It does lack imagination.

Like I said, splitting the vote.

So if you guys could, please shift to the original format.

It really makes no quantitative difference since you don't really need to write Anderson being empathic in when he is, already, doing so by dint of the original write-in itself.

With the vote-tallying, it's not really splitting the vote since I can see both of them. If two variations of one vote combine to outnumber another, I'll take that one and do my best to integrate the disparate aspects.

That said, the combined vote of the new contender is still behind the top one.

Ah, well, theres a large number of people viewing the thread right now that have yet to vote anyway. And if you do that kind of vote consolidation then perhaps my focus is placed in the wrong direction

What? I like to lurk in Quests and avoid getting too annoyed by bad decisions by just letting the voter base go as it will without attempting to influence it. Whatcha gonna do?
