I'm not averse to diplomacy per se, but I refuse to vote for summint far too serious to sound like Abridged Anderson.

Right that should do it.

Would not us voting for all Bayonets if first thing fails just increase votes for JUST all bayonets making it so that first part is not happening?
 
Someone pointed out that the changes TFS made in Hellsing Ultimate Abridged actually make the Catholic Church more reasonable than in canon, with the actual Papal Knights refusing to work with Maxson, who just got a bunch of KKKlansmen, the Mexican Inquisition, Salvation Army, and fucking Jewish fighters to go on Crusade.

Funny how that works.

Eh, HU Abridged is their dark humor and more risque series, they kind of have pointed out some rather darkly funny things before.

Hey, they volunteer willing to fight bullet timing Nazi vampires.

It just make those group more badass... given we seen how normal soldiers do when facing vampire.

It makes sense. Canada was a French colony, and the French were a Catholic country.

Also they weren't the Klan (that's the redneck guys), they were the Salvation Army. Big difference.

We're in violation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political rights because more than half of our provinces / territories have separate publicly funded Catholic schools. That there are enough Catholics to justify all the schools isn't that surprising.
 
Why is anyone assuming that Ludwig knows about Ebrietas? Wasn't he just "dumb" muscle that the vicars recruited to become the first of the new Church Hunters, after the burning of Old Yharnam, when the layman's Oto Workshop collapsed and the Powder Kegs were exiled as heretics?

Heck, I think the Choir didn't even exist yet when Ludwig became the first Church Hunter, and I'm pretty sure it was the Choir who found Ebrietas.

No. The Church happened because Ebrietas was discovered, because Ebrietas is where the magic blood comes from. No magic blood = no legitimacy for the Church's "blood is amazing, everyone should do lots of blood" stance. From there, the original discoverers hid the true source of the blood from new initiates to avoid possible freakouts, and gradually morphed into what we know as the Choir.

Ludwig also went down into the same catacombs where Ebrietas was discovered - that's where his "guiding moonlight" was - which is another data point in favor of him, at the very least, knowing that the higher realms exist. He's probably got a rather distorted understanding of them, but I'd lay good odds on him knowing that a Great One was the source of the old blood.
 
Which was built around Ebrietas? The church as a building, or the Church as an institution?

Laurence started the Healing Church as the First Vicar. The Choir wasn't established until after he'd become the First Cleric Beast. The Choir discovered Ebrietas.
