An Unusual Abnormality - Redux (A Lobotomy Corporation x ??? Interactive Quest)

Day 2.77
>"If Alyssa or Archer can bring me some paper next time she visits, that would be nice. Other than that, nothing."
>Should Alyssa and Hod leave without further questions and incident, bid them farewell and proceed to burn some time by playing with small danmaku patterns.
Hold on, there was definitely something...
Materials for spellcards?
Writing materials, then.

> Think for a little, but not too long. Can't have them closing the door on your face if you change your mind, after all.
> "Oh! Actually, there is!"
> "I don't need it, but I've wanted something to write on and something to write with for a while."
> If it looks like they're deciding against it, explain that you'll use them for making spellcards.

She's definitely not devious enough to imply that she needs writing materials to do her more intense attacks.
>"I'll be sure to recommend some Insight work in the morning." Hod nods in reply, "Anyway, I'll pass what we agreed upon to the rest of the Sefirot and see what they say. I hope this arrangement works out well."
>The buzzer rings, prompting the door to open. Hod turns on her heel and proceeds to make her exit, Alyssa remains behind, her focus being roughly in your direction, before starting to follow.

>Once the door shuts you begin to amuse yourself by playing with danmaku patterns, right around when your brain realizes that Hod said "in the morning" the room begins to flood with an orange gas.
>You start to feel very, very tired...

Day 3.1
> You wanted to go to sleep anyways. Totally not being forced.
> Focus on Yatagarasu once more.
> Don't. Panic.
>Any urge you have to panic is quickly suppressed anyway as the tired feeling overtakes you. Your last thoughts before you black out being of Yatagarasu

>...

>You are once again in the strange building. The thrum of a heartbeat is the only sound you hear...
>...Nothing seems different than before, and your gaze once again falls on the altar surrounded by unlit torches, extinguished candles, and the scattered feathers of a crow. As you once again find yourself walking towards it. The heartbeat once more grows ever louder as you approach...
>Even when you arrive at the altar, there is nothing new. With a frown, you reach out to touch it, but the world fades away before you can do so.

>...

>You wake up on the cold metal floor of your new "room".
>_

Day 3.2
>Try to remember what the thing in the shrine looked like
>You try to remember.
>It looked like a small altar covered in a few scattered crow feathers, and had a bunch of unlit torches and candles around it.

> Did you really just fall out of bed? You haven't done that since...when you first gained a humanoid form actually.
> That or you never got into bed in the first place...
>You wonder why you would fall out of bed.
>...Then you remember the gas.

>The buzzer sounds and the door opens to reveal Alyssa holding a folder of some kind.

Day 3.3
>Say Hello to Alyssa
>"Good morning." she nods, "This is just a short Insight session, I'm only going to drop off the paper and pen you requested last night and do a quick sweep to make sure nothing's falling apart in here."

>Get up.
>"Was the gas really necessary?"
>You get up.
>"The Qliphoth Deterrance keeps abnormalities in a state of low activity for as long as they're exposed to high concentrations of it. It's necessary so that no breakouts happen during off hours." Alyssa explains, "You've actually been exposed to it already, though if you didn't notice it you were probably already asleep at the time."

>look around your new room
>"You did bring the furniture from the old room to here, right?"
>It's the same room you've been in since you got here, furniture and all. It's "new" in the sense that it's not your room back in Gensokyo.
>"What do you mean? This is the same room you've had."
>_

Day 3.4
Huh. Didn't know they gassed the abnormalities in the off-hours.
//Well it might not actually be gas canonically. They're kinda vague about what substance the Qliphoth Deterrance actually is, but to me a gas seemed to be a good way to interpret it.
-------------------------

>"Nevermind, not completely awake yet."
>"I understand. A lot of abnormalities are a bit slow after the Deterrance concentration is lowered, especially when they're not used to it yet."

>"Alright, thanks. Just put them on the table."
>"...Right." She replies and begins moving forward, holding out an arm in front of her to feel for where the table is.
>You notice she's walking in the wrong direction.
>_

Day 3.5
>"Uh... Alyssa, wrong way."
>"Oh... er... sorry." she stops, before attempting to change direction.

>"You had a rough night's sleep too, huh?"
>"No, not really..."

>After Devlman's write-in
>"...Oh, wait, sorry, I forgot. Just, uh. Let me take that. Or put them on the floor."
>Take the papers.
>Alyssa stops and allows you to approach her and take the papers.
>_

Day 3.6
>Approach her and take the papers.
>You've already done this. A quick doubletake shows that she does not appear to be holding anything else, so you highly doubt you'd need to do this a second time.

>"Thank you. Have a nice day."
>Once she leaves, write down a new spell card. Something that could improve your mobility - maybe propel yourself around the battlefield with fusion energy? ("Uncontainable Nuclear Reaction Dive", Hisoutensoku spell card.)
>You thank her and wait for the buzzer. Alyssa's business concludes without any further conversation.
>As soon as she's gone, you take a single sheet of paper, fold it into a more manageable size, and begin to write out a spellcard, making all the necessary markings before staring at the still mostly blank sheet.
>It's then you have a stroke of inspiration. What if you could use fusion energy to propel yourself around like a living projectile using fusion energy? Within moments, you describe in detail what you're going for.
>It's no intricate pattern of bullets, but it would definitely be better suited to the tight corridors of this place. Of course, if it was a grand aerial duel back home, then this wouldn't be as practical, though you probably could use it as a bomb-type card...
>You put down the finishing touches, before trying to think of a name. You ultimately settle on "Uncontainable Nuclear Reaction Dive", since that sounds cool.

>Spell Card Created:
>"Uncontainable Nuclear Reaction Dive"
>>Propels you back and forth over a small area four times, damaging anything that you or the energy surrounding you comes in contact with. You can't easily turn while in the middle of a charge.

Day 3.7
>Remember to threadmark and take care of your self
//oops

>Begin reminiscing about life as Satori-sama's pet
>Lean against door to listen for any suspicious noices.
>You lean against the door to listen while reminiscing about the past...
>...
>After spending some time recalling a fond memory of Satori watching you play "dodge the cat" with Orin in the palace halls at a time before either of you learned how to take your humanoid forms, the buzzer snaps you out of your thoughts.
>The door slides open, and suddenly you find yourself without a surface to lean on.
>Gravity makes its presence known within moments as you start falling backwards.
>_

Day 3.8
>transform into our bird form and start flapping to stopes hitting the floor
>You transform into a full raven and quickly correct your trajectory, narrowly missing the floor as you swoop upwards and back into the room
> Greet the new arrival as soon as you can do so.
>You change back and greet the arrival.
>It's Archer, he seems to have his weapons drawn, but he soon holsters them.
>"...Okay, to be honest having an ALEPH fall through the door at me was not how I imagined my day would start..." he frowns.
