but then again, due to safety concerns due to most of the energy initially being released in the form of gamma radiation, and the fact that creating one still requires creating a kugelblitz, if an insanely tiny one, it may be made redundant immediately by the much safer, if less powerful, lvl 10 energy crystal.
yes, i do my research. hard sci-fi isn't easy to write.

Orks, Necrons, Chaos, Nids. If it was just nids might as well stay and fight since they will follow out the galaxy, but with the other three might as well leave since those three are mostly galaxy bound, maybe not the orks.

edit: would be mighty appealing to just start fresh in a empty galaxy.
The only ever signals received from outside the galaxy are from Orks in every directions in addition every expedition ever sent out side the galaxy has been destroyed almost instantly upon contact with entities outside of the galaxy. Do with this information as you will.

Plus you can have many times more Energy Runes in a location then a kugelblitz reactor it also helps that the energy is dispersed as well eliminating lag time and making the system impossible to destroy with out destroying the ship well also making it all but impossible to disrupt or sabotage.

Another dimension then, probe for one empty of life. Create The Ship and punch our way through the warp to another universe entirely.

like i said, redundant;

so, are we developing a crystal of energy, next turn, if so then i will not write up the omake, too much work for very little gain. (no +10 to one role is not worth summarizing a complex academic paper and laying out what we would need to do to make it feasible)

The check to get ourselves between dimensions is only 250k so we should be fine although that may dramatically increase with additional individuals and cargo.

For that first thing, I'm going to assume that the Old Ones left some drones behind to contain the Krorks/Necrons, which might have gotten a bit out of hand. Or they might just have been justifiably paranoid of spores from the former hitchhiking.

and so i shall, thanks for the idea.

afterall, if you put years of work into developing a kugelblitz reactor only to discover that someone has sucessfully created what is effectively a zero point module, you too would be pissed

it shall be posted right after the update in question, so that it fits right in the timeline.

You'd be pissed to figure out you went through all the work of creating a kugelblitz reactor using conventional physics only to find out that some one made a perpetual motion machine using BS Psyker tech that made it infinitely easier.

Upside, Energy Crystals are much, much less effective in areas where the Warp is partially disconnected (Cadian Pylons) having been reduced to the 10% 'creating from nothing' so having potent purely mundane methods of energy production has benefits. In Subspace it's more like 50% effectiveness. In addition, jumping to other universes, if you ever do it, has the problem of them being unlikely to have the exact same connection to the Warp as this one does, if they even have a Warp.

To be fair if you think you could out invent the best engineer in the Bastion that's on you. Then again this is exactly why Serras devised a system where top scientists work around our schedule.

Guess that means there's no harm in making Energy Crystals too. Still not for going to other universes. After that last inter-dimensional fuckery the last thing we want is to end up having the aliens from the Xelos Sequence universe come hopping in.

EDIT: In other news, yes we're nearing an Ork polity. That means another Ork Waagh to stomp out. If we kill this then we'll only have 7 Waaghs to beat. That's still alot but that's better than the current 8 we're facing.

So seeing as we finally got 150 in all medicine should we maybe finally increase the life extension treatments? Might even be able to reverse aging with the improvements.
