Alchemical Solutions [Worm/Exalted] Thread 16: Playful Parasites Pervert Prayer, Perpetuate Plagues

Whelp, I'm now officially uncomfortable with reading any more.

The torture and mutilation of children creeps me the hell out.

With the wards now tortured and mindbroken into robotic gore slaves, I think I'll stop reading until I hear around the grapevine that they were saved and everything went fine.

Or permanently I guess, if it turns out that it didn't.

Good writing as always, but not my cup of tea.

Eh we've only got confirmation of Vista and reason to suspect Transfusion and Tatsu, Geode is fine and Uzu is apparently somewhere, possibly helping teleport troops outside since according to the Dragon stunt she was in the pocket dimension with Taylor and Dragon. The other Wards might be off base and either at home/school or with Uriel holed up in the downtown PRT building.

Know how you feel, but there's always hope!

Uzu is captured as well. The Dragon stunt was completed substantially before the lab purge began. Bonesaw said she had both.

So is it possible that studying Iris allowed Jack to improve his control of his power and its secondary ability so he could use it to communicate with Belazel's drones in order to control them?
If he could consciously communicate with shards(and similar entities like Iris), then he could simply ask Belazel's shard for the necessary information off his database. It's a viable Second Trigger option(might cost him some of his iconic slashing ability, or his sanity, but neither made him REALLY dangerous like Communication did).

But really as long as he got Belazel in range, any psychologically vulnerable parahuman is easy prey.
Example scenario, knowing the drones are tinker work, especially if Belazel is hooked into their senses, or self-uploaded so he's actually there with the drones, then he could simply talk his way through, as long as Belazel didn't report it in(possible with a good opening spiel), and the drone couldn't kill him(typical patrol drones do not do enough damage to a Bonesaw augmented human by themselves even before Siberian)

Now the big horror here isn't the surgery doen to our friends, but what he did to their minds while they're a literal captive audience.

DAMMIT!

DOUBLE DAMMIT!

OK when (NOT IF) we get Missy and the rest fixed up they will be getting SO MUCH HUGS, FOR MONTHS!!!

Just a quick question but Lung is alive right?

And did any of the Traveler's besides Noelle die?

Once the current situation is dealt with, we can get Glenn's help in portraying this to the public as something akin to a devil worshiper holding up a cross and shouting "God is Satan" or something along those lines (perhaps negating some of the religious components).
Something like this:

" Jack's description of Autocthon is about as accurate as saying that Christianity revolves around the cannibalistic consumption of flesh and blood, and waiting for Jesus to return and raise his zombie army from the dead. You might not want to take him too seriously."

Though you could also do something like that for Harry Potter, or some other property instead.

He would. Essence would ALWAYS render his precog less efficient than it used to be. It became "this will probably happen" instead of "this WILL happen" when an essence wielder is involved.

Apart from, you know, the Essence based precognition charms that show that even when Essence wielders involved, the universe is still deterministic?

Can we at least hope that Bakuda being in means she killed off Mannequin?

Well, you can hope, but I wouldn't plan on it. Neither would I plan on Hatchetface being dead.

Basically, do not discount any and all of who you know has been S9. Gromweld likes curve balls.

Jack Slash converting to something, what? Now, just suppose, because i'm not giving hints or teasers here or anything, but just suppose Jack Slash hadn't converted to Autochthon. Just suppose that all the information he's gotten on Autochthon is from notes on a computer that he has access to because you divulged the whole thing to the PRT and it was stored somewhere there...and a certain person from Camden PRT is missing/dead.

Just suppose Jack Slash thinks this is a great way to poke not only the two Exalts, but also Mrs. Bearing. Impotent rage at him is something that Jack Slash no doubt enojoys

Remind me again why they haven't nuked the city that the S9 are in?

Oh yes. However, this time, Jack Slash may have crossed the line. He only lives because Cauldron was keeping him alive. If they've decided that Autocthon is more useful than him, he'll die quickly.

You want spin?
I'll give you spin.

Look at it from Taylor's perspective under all the Clarity she probably just took, then tell people that.

Jack just butchered most of Taylor's friends ALL TO MOCK THE PERSON WHO SAVED HER LIFE.

He will pay.

Congratulations, Jack. You joined Sant on the list of characters who are short one smoking crater where their body was.

(Grom, great job conveying the horrific, seemingly-unopposable Jack social manipulation. And capturing my INTENSE HATRED FOR HIM.)

I expected the last part to be horrific, and it was! I have to go read something warm and fuzzy now. The rage...

Also troll around for ideas of omakes. What is Saint name? Did Jack have a last name?

Marrow >> Jack. fine red mist.

I am kind of starting to think that Iris is gonna be more dangerous than the S9.. in a "everything dies" kinda way... mmh or the first thing he builds is a Gravitational Beam Emitter.

..also fighting Bakuda is gonna suck so much.

It demonstrates that the premise of the argument is incorrect.

No it doesn't seeing as how Coil does not have access to said charms and his shard would still be giving him random results when trying to model Weaver.

Because its an astonisingly bad trade off since as far as everyone knows Siberian and Bonesaw will survive thanks to Siberian's invulnerability and then leads to SUPER-PLAGUES! and INVINCIBLE-CANNIBAL-BRUTES! while sacrificing a lot of civilians and capes.

Nah, ISF remember? plus Marrow can simply pancake the bitch by crushing her with Plasma Thruster Assembly
