Alchemical Solutions [Worm/Exalted] Thread 16: Playful Parasites Pervert Prayer, Perpetuate Plagues

Nah, ISF remember? plus Marrow can simply pancake the bitch by crushing her with Plasma Thruster Assembly
OOC, but killing Bakuda without first interrogating her to determine whether or not she's got deadman switches on remotely placed bombs is a terrible idea. As for ISF? That depends on whether our installations of it classify Bakuda bombs as Environmental hazards or not.

Point, We should have Marrow put her Stealth 4 and high dex and what not to use and sneak up on her and knock her out for interrogation.

If you interrogate her, of course, she'll have a deadman switch. I know I would, if I was being interrogated. Though maybe it would stop working if they started torturing me.

Though if they get access to the good old Tinker lie detectors, it should be a bit easier, as long as Bonesaw hasn't made it easy to fake those out (or gave Bakuda a deadman switch while she wasn't looking).

Again, I don't think we need any Autobot/God comparisons.

He saved our life.
Jack butchered our friends to mock him for it.
People will understand. And they might even still understand if we feel the need to tear Jack limb from limb and TIE the pieces so there's nothing for Bonesaw to work with.

Remind me again why they haven't nuked the city that the S9 are in?
Siberian would protect them. And then Jack laughs about how, well, maybe he has killed thousands of people, but the "heroes" killed millions in a failed attempt to get to him.

On a less somber note:
Kali, Marrow fighting villainy!
K-I-S-S-I-N-G!
First comes love, then comes Jack Slash
Then lovers join hands and go take out the trash!

Why do you think ISF is going to help, we need essence four to protect against someone using environmental damage to attack us
...although we are still immune to shaping regardless (I assume via wording at least, see Crystal since it gives the effects of Integrity-Protecting Prana as a addition), however Bakuda is not limited to this I think. Perfect parrys on the other hand are very useful if expensive... does anyone know if the cost is 6m (from book) or 12m (from errata)

I do like that a lot better than reaffirming our status as a cult.
Even if I don't quite share the faith in understanding nature of the common man.
Fear of the unknown is a powerful thing.
That would be why Jack's attack is so powerful. It is almost stereotypical "wooblah wooblah THEY AINT YOUR RELIGION THEY EAT BABIES" argument, which is quite strong to the uninformed and fearful.

His weakness is twofold: one, he's doing the baby-eating. Two, he just DEMANDED the wrath of Taylor. She doesn't make friends easily, she doesn't show friendship easily, but they ARE her friends and she will kill for them if it comes to that - and it has.

He hurt BEST little sister (Missy) and probably Transfusion and the twins so Taylor and Sirkalla will WRECK his face.

Siberian can extend her invulnerability to stuff she touches (except William Manton), remember? In the canon S9 arc, we see Jack and Bonesaw survive that way when the heroes blow up the building they're in.

"Except William Manton" is a pretty important exception, since Manton needs to be close enough to his projection that he'd be caught in the blast.

Also, I love this story, but it's rapidly approaching "someone PM me when the 9 are dead so I can catch up and start reading again" levels of frustration.

this update hit me in me seasonal depression, as I'm having a hard time seeing how we can save Who, Vista, and the twins( don't even care about transfusion).

The Nine are evil evil evil.

The good news is, with stunts and Motonic physics and Adamant and ISF, we are far better set up to OBLITERATE them as they so deserve.

Especially since ping damage guarantees action on the target, and Manton's shard seems unable to handle such guaranteed action, so we can probably pop Manton's invulnerability, then Adamant Blade Piston Hammer Jack into gibs.

The bad news is, Jack turned up the dial. He isn't playing nice like in canon - he skipped straight to cheating and direct assault on public perceptions, no subtle malaise, just brute force. He always had the resources to capture the Wards offscreen and then focus on ruining us specifically, it is just a huge pain that he broke pattern to do it.

I think we need to keep in mind that the humans in Autochthonia do worship him and that their whole culture and society is tied up in that worship. So denying that we are a cult too strongly could have interesting consequences later.
