Alchemical Solutions [Worm/Exalted] Thread 16: Playful Parasites Pervert Prayer, Perpetuate Plagues

I don't think Jack talked with Iris at all (considering inability to communicate has been a massive problem of Iris's for centuries or even millennia)
It doesn't matter how good your communication shard is if it's trying to decipher a black box system that doesn't have any form of external output.

No, I think that all of his data came from PRT computer systems after trying to figure out what the hell the giant indestructible bowling ball that got dropped on them was.

And now to possibly negate that (but unlikely given the "Eye of Autochton"'s track record), I just realized that Iris might be able to stunt which direction he rolls and bounces if chucked at a wall of a flat floored room.

The information Jack has would be entirely reasonable if Jack convinced Iris he'd make an effective Orichalcum, and suitable for starting the necessary cult to feed Autochton power.
Or he just has copies of the PRT's information about us. Hard to say.
I think Exalting Missy has just become mandatory, because I'm not sure even Amy can heal that.
I really wouldn't want to rely on Autocthon to fix, or even recognize, mental damage. Better to up our Medicine and consult with Amy.

EDIT:
If Marrow crafts her armor into a giant blade, does that mean Bladedancer could use it to fly with her powers?
She already is.

Shards adapt. That was the whole thing about Thinker interaction with essence. Once they figure out the general rules of how it works, they can interact with it. Jack, given a willingness to suffer continuous pain, could certainly adapt rapidly by Iris exposure, and well...this is small potatoes compared to what he did with Scion from inside a Grey Boy Loop.

I'm not against exalting her, but I want to point out that this is definitely not the criteria to use to determine who gets exalted. It is in no way mandatory that we exalt her, we're exalting people to save Auto-kun and possibly the earth too. Everything else is secondary considerations. We want the best candidates we can acquire. We're not doing this to save random little dying girls. This is not the Make a Wish foundation.

We're definitely going to need to run a damage control on our image. I think our best line of defense may be to tell critics " You are choosing to trust Jack Slash. Do you really trust Jack Slash?"

Of course, delivering his head on pike would help.

Yeah but Missy was already on our wishlist, just held off because of politics because she's too young. Because her power DOES help Autocthon. A lot. It tells him a shitton about how Nowhere-Physics works. Especially the underlying spacial fabric. Which should help with figuring out how to transport him.

The Twins (who Bonesaw is probably going to bodily merge together anyway) are even more useful because they get right down into the nitty gritty of pocket universe formation and teleportation.

Coil didn't "adapt to essence" he second-triggered and realized how his shard had always worked in the first place. If he had truly adapted, he wouldn't have needed to assassinate us to prevent us from messing with his precog.

Exalting Missy was probably one of the strongest options popularity wise, even when it was illegal.

Less the purpose of fixing her and more the purpose of "oh good we have an excuse now"

Actually, I just had a pleasing thought. Jack Slash's attempts to discredit Auto-kun could actually be used as endorsement, since anything Jack Slash wants to discredit is probably good.

I agree, I'm just saying we shouldn't use Dragonbard's (implied) criteria to determine exaltation candidates.

Do we know what Vox's power was? Was he some kind of communication/media-Tinker?

Also, I'm not sure what the throne (the thing we can buy with XP) is supposed to be, can anyone explain?

He would. Essence would ALWAYS render his precog less efficient than it used to be. It became "this will probably happen" instead of "this WILL happen" when an essence wielder is involved.

Couldn't agree more.

So, should probably start figuring out a charm set-up for her.

Well, that and figure out as many Omakes as we possible can to get everything we need for this battle.

When we're done, we want to put the fear of God, Iris, Autochthon, and US into all the S9.

Shaking with impotent rage. Both Missy and Aisha... God DAMN Jack Slash. All the Exalted bullshit in the world and we can't even protect the kids we took under our wing, so what was even the point!? Maker, I hope Bladedancer is the one to kill him. She, at least, would have the right attitude and make it slow.
