We don't have much to lose, if we win this "Trail of Blood" we will have the required skills and spells (via the magic book and the "few basic spells") to start acting by ourselves.

I don't think that we should get the fighting lessons, they cost too much and we will need the money later.

Bear in mind that we are a young girl with lots of money. We should either get fighting lessons (learning from a book for few days might not be enough to teach us anything to protect ourselves from muggers).
The alternative is the trail of blood, which will get us out of the city and allow us to training against something which isn't an intelligent human enemy who wants our stuff.

I think that we should go away from the city/village for a while.

Just to tell you, the forest has monsters in it. If it was a regular forest, it wouldn't be the Trial of Blood.

"Fool... I came here with a horde of minions, did I not? *coughs blood* Are you even slightly curious... What happened to them?"

"YES! Years ago, you burned down my home, and murdered my family! Now... My servants are laying waste to your precious city!"

"But how?! You were destined to loose!"

"Ha ha ha- *Coughs more blood* Heh... I have lost, haven't I? Here I am... Broken... Dying... You... Have defeated me. But defeating you... Was never my goal. Revenge... Takes many forms..."

"Call off your monsters and I will end your life painlessly Villainess! Can you hear me?! VILLAINESS!"

Keep in mind, pulling a TTGL and re-writing the entire system is still my first choice, but if we really have to loose I want us to make damn sure the "heroes" don't win.

That actually would have been one of the farm girl's routes, fits well with her backstory.

This is, of course, assuming that we can use some of our other money to acquire a safe place to actually study these. An apprenticeship with a Magi sounds like an awfully nice way to go about this, and we might be able to swing one if they don't know that we're a villain and we can impress them with our hardworking stick-to-it-ivness or something. It would also solve the problem of shelter, because, you know, our house just burned down.
