I find buying a Civ game before it's been tarted up with all the expansions to be a bit of a waste of time.It will be released on Friday but what I have seen of it on Youtube seems promising.
You'll get your "arrived at the perfect time to make like Cortes amidst warring Zulu style tribes in a breadbasket region with Ice Age megafauna" when you get it.
Does someone want a dagger in their back?'It truely is good to meet you. Is good mother Volantis not keeping her children in line? I pray Lys hasn't forgotten that the dragon bows to Valyria.'
its preferred weapons are the poisons of its alchemists and the night legendary skills of its courtesans

Yes, continue to annoy and piss off the people who's main way of fighting is assassination, surely nothing bad will come with it.
Yep. keep the salt coming through my veins.
A settlement takes a reasonable amount of time and as for the second question, talk to Wade.New Dorne begins! Well, that's not going to be the name, but whatevs.
@Ceslas, couple questions. First, how does actually building a settlement go? Write a few flavor posts or what? Secondly, how do I go about finding the other warring states in the region -- exploration plans, just writing a general note to local rulers, what?
Indeed, mea culpa Wade. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. It seemed that was the precedent everyone went with so I assumed you knew.@Wade Garrett, Ifequevron is a fairly thriving nation of Ibbenese now, rather than still being just spooky forest land - I was selling them cannon a couple of turns ago.
Well, it'd be more "Trees, trees, cannon muzzles aimed at ship, more tre- WAIT WHAT?!"Well...I'm going to edit part of it so it's Ibbanese going "Oh, Laketowners" and suspiciously squinting at you for the duration of your visit instead of "Trees, trees, more trees. Also quietness."
Ya, seems to be shit right now.
Tried to make ourselves eat, even if it is spoiled. Can't keep anything down...Holgun cut himself, felling a tree for the watch fires...and it smelled...I felt....

Fish. We eat the fish. They eat the drowned. They eat man flesh and we eat them fish make us strong sons of the Drowned God life in the fish flesh flesh so hungry smells so good
The fort had become a butcher's shop, spilled blood and broken war gear littering its interior, but the only scene of its inhabitants were well picked bones and a trail leading from the fort into the grim grey woods.
So did I, but when I asked, @Ceslas said it was Ibbenese colonists.Oh! I thought that it wa still forest....that's why I sent people to explore it...
were better when you're not leaving a kingdom and dragging us into a warI'll be honest, Lys' diplomatic technique is certainly . . . let's go with unique, shall we?
