Why not? It really shouldn't take long to pop in, try to kill a few ghosts to see how kill-able they are, and pop out. Again, half an hour tops. Unless we are going to spend every moment of our free-time hanging with Naruto and Hinata, or looking into Medic Classes, we should quite easily afford half an hour over 3 days.
Are you planning a special event to happen when we first pop in, that would kinda force us to spend to much time there?
I am not trying to cheat things, despite what you seem so hasty to assume on so many things. I thought it was possible, for every instance of a dungeon with monsters in it that we have seen, both in quest and in the manga, very little looking is required. Just look left look right, and you more than likely find one.
So ghosts in the Preta dimension are illusive things that we will have to spend a large amount of time trying to find? Because that right there is actually sorta answering the question of "is it good for grinding". We would be spending more time looking for monsters, than fighting monsters.

Again, stop trying to cheat your way into doing more things.
How would it be obvious that it's not ID Create? Other than the obscene chakra cost, it had so far not been any different, being able to create first a blank dimension, and then dimensions with mobs in it.
Again, I am not trying to cheat my way into doing more things. I am doing my best with what limited information is given. All we knew is that the Preta dimension had "hungry ghosts [that] hunger for life". In what population, we didn't know. How tough they are, we didn't know. How they could be harmed, we didn't know. How easy they are to find, we didn't know.
Hence the check option, to find out so we know things. I was not intending to accomplish anything beyond getting knowledge, something that would be done in those 30 minutes. If we can't find any mobs in those 30 minutes, we have our answer.

If that's only what you want to check, then I will answer you right then, right now. The place is shit for grinding after half an hour of searching the place. There.
Alrighty. As mentioned, that is way more info than we had. Unless some event happens to dramatically increase Ghost density, or it turns out that a ghost is totally worth spending an hour or more tracking down, the Preta dimension is kinda useless for grinding. And besides being nice and dark, I can't really think of what other uses we have for it.
That answers all the questions I hopped to get answered with the check.

I'm just going to go back to my original vote since we are only limited to 2 actions and we are already going to get enough training in trying to learn medical-jutsu. Besides Ryuan is not liking the current winning plan.
@ryuan can you answer my question from before? If we have 3 days off why are we being limited to only 2 choices? I'm asking because I only just joined here recently so I'm not sure how the rules here work yet but if I'm to understand correctly in each day we only get 1 action point? Unless we only have 2 days off and the 3 days off was a mistake?

From my understanding, I was thinking we were taking 1 day to complete a single action. So instead, we are picking an action to do the entire 3 days continuously, this is correct?You are very provocative.
I do not wish a free lunch. What I wanted was to see if there was any easy stuff to be gained. There isn't. There might be hidden stuff, but it would be a gamble on that, that we would have to dedicate time on without any assured pay off. Particularly since you do things in month-long blocks usually, we can't just dedicate a day or two and then decide if we want to keep going, we would have to dedicate a entire month's worth of time.

Maybe I wouldn't be nearly as provocative if people took what I said at face value for fucking once and didn't ask questions the answer is clear enough.
At face value, we are told there are hungry ghosts in the Preta Dimension. That's it. Which was why I had us investigate it to get at least some more information.
Now what we know is "While there are ghosts here somewhere, we were unable to find any within half an hour of searching. If we are to find anything, we will need to dedicate much greater amounts of time to it, with the possibility of coming up empty handed."
