A Game of Supers (The Gamer/Original Superhero Setting)

[X] The middle class house: Probably the safest option for a first time thief. There were three people living there, but the house was left alone for long periods, there weren't any extra security measures, and the place it was in was reasonably private. However, since this was a test, you would probably not get a great grade with this.
[X] Hiding a camera pointed at the house to record things. It would allow you to execute surveillance without needing to spend excessive amounts of time on watch.
-[X] Comings and goings, security measures.
[X] Learn a useful miscellaneous skill.
-[X] Cold reading
-[X] Lockpicking

After this I really want to get into some mad science shit. @Kinni How published are the various Doctor Nouns? And if they are published do we know how closely the gubment is watching their access logs?

There are some publications, but mostly the standard stuff. Essentially, unless you are a corporation with access to lots of resources, or an inventor yourself who can cover for the problems, it is just not worth it.

The information you got doesn't specify it.
Well darn.

I'm currently having a hard time thinking of a plan for Richest while also getting all the skills we need for the other 4, Richest requiring different skills.
My two main plans for richest are
Super Spy: Sneak in as one would normally think. Gonna definitely need Hacking and Lockpicking
Probable Cause: Call the police pretending we were kidnapped and held in the house. When the Police come along, slip in dressed as a cop, and nab something small but expensive. Gonna need Hacking to make sure the call seems to be coming from the house, and Disguise to seem like a cop.

The other four are gonna need Lockpicking and Disguise. We only got two actions we can turn into skills, and if we hit all five we need 3 skills.

[X] The well-off house: This one had only one person living in it, and that person was away for most of the day, but on the flipside, there were four guard dogs protecting the place.
[X] Calling the owners and scamming them into giving extra information. The info you received about the targets included telephone numbers, so that was easy.
-[X]Prioritie is security measures(with atention to the dogs skill), folowed be location of valuables, folowed be schedule
[X] Focus on raising the level of the skills you already developed.
[X] Learn a useful miscellaneous skill.
-[X] Lock picking
-[X]Hacking
[X]Of the skills you're training or learning this week, which one you wish to help with the trigger? (Lock picking)

[X] Plan Girl Scout
[X] The second richest: A house in which a family of four lived. Apparently the mother was a drug supplier for the gang. There wouldn't be as many security measures, but you would have to deal with the people inside.
- [X] The middle class house: Probably the safest option for a first time thief. There were three people living there, but the house was left alone for long periods, there weren't any extra security measures, and the place it was in was reasonably private. However, since this was a test, you would probably not get a great grade with this.
- - [X] Rob the middle class house first once you have sufficient information before switching targets to the second richest house. While the camera is recording for you, buy a girl scout outfit and a few boxes of cookies and train in disguises till it's least likely they're recognize your natural face and use your acting skills, young age, and short stature to sell it all further. Work your way into the house with your acting skills, subdue them as quietly and quickly as possible and rob them.
[X] Hiding a camera pointed at the house to record things. It would allow you to execute surveillance without needing to spend excessive amounts of time on watch.
-[X] Focus on the Middle class house first, get the comings and goings of the occupant down before switching to the second richest house. Focus on the times when there are the least amount of people in the house, one or two only if you can manage it, while also checking for security measures. Specifically note the occupants by visible threat level and try to pin down when the lowest threats are alone or with only another person.
[X] Focus on raising the level of a specific skill (Disguise)
[X] Learn a useful miscellaneous skill.
-[X] Lock Picking

Okay, first, damn, we did well skills wise. The way things are looking, I assume level 20 is the cap? Beyond that, I was wondering about our actual levels of strength and agility. Our martial art skills are one thing but I assume we're still hitting and fast as a 14 year old girl. One at peak physical health, but still. Is that something we can work on? A weightlifting, running, or general exercise skill, @Kinni?

Second, does this write in work for you? Lmao.

Lazyminx, the write-in is acceptable. As for your questions: Yes, level 20 is the cap, and mastering a skill gets you some nifty bonuses. You indeed have normal levels of strength and agility, and there is no way currently available to you to increase them enough to matter. However, this isn't as much of a flaw as you might think. Based on pure martial arts skill, you are already good enough to defeat twenty gang members armed with melee weapons without even needing ambushed or similar stuff to increase your chances.

So, yes, we can walk into that house dressed as a girl scout, kick all of their asses, rob them blind, and walk out. Got it. This is gonna be amazing.

@Kinni One last question, does the info we got on them tell us stuff about the actual occupants? Like, if one of the guys in the 8 person house is a high-school-aged boy?

Also, a question for everyone else, does anyone know how easy/hard it is to get animal tranquilizers/sedatives?

[X] Plan All But One

[X] You are going to rob all but the Richest House
-[X] The Middle class one is simple enough. Wait till no-one is there, pick the lock, and grab something valuable, and preferably small.
--[X]Back-up plan if someone arrives while you are looking for stuff, punch their face. When breaking in, make sure to act like you belong. Don't want nosy neighbors calling the cops, punching their faces will cause more trouble.
-[X] The Less Well Off House, pretend to be one of the (girl)friends of one of the male occupants, disguising yourself to look an appropriate age if there aren't any teenagers, preferably one that isn't there currently. Once you gain access, perhaps to that guys room while waiting for him to arrive from wherever, try to find and nab something small and valuable. It's easier to walk out with a diamond necklace in your pocket than a TV in your arms. Once your treasure is secured, make up some excuse to leave.
--[X] If the person you are pretending to be the friend of is there, try to get alone with them with some implied fun times, and then choke them out or otherwise quietly render them unconcious. Continue plan.
-[X] The Well-Off House, get some meat and some tranquilizers. Feed the dogs, wait a few hours (perhaps do one of the other heists during), come back when the dogs are asleep, and go steal something.
-[X] The Second Richest House. Gain access by pretending to be there sent by one of the bosses. See if you can bluff your way into taking something. If you can't, punch everyone's face.
-[X] During all these, make sure you are disguised to look like not-you. That way any descriptions of you are pointless, and preferably varying from crime to crime.

Here's some basic research stuff. I can't think of anything, in particular, we'd need to know for any of the houses beyond who lives there.
[X] Plant cameras watching the houses, set up mostly to watch the comings and goings. Knowing who will be there when will make your job a lot easier, especially for the houses you have a chance of slipping in when no-one is there.

[X] Focus on raising the level of a specific skill (Disguise)
[X] Learn a useful miscellaneous skill.
-[X] Lock Picking
[X] Use Hypnotic Trigger on Disguise
Disguise is far more useful than Lock Picking

Disguise sounds useful for making sure this doesn't get traced back to us.

Trondason. Yes. The information you got does include the occupants. You will get the full information about the house(s) you have chosen to target in the next post, and will be able to refine your plan of action based on it, and on the information you'll get from the info gathering of this turn.

Edit: The actual action won't start next post, since gathering information would be useless if you had to decide your plan before getting it.

Alright, that's good to know. In which case I won't bother refining my plan here till next update.
I just like this one. Also, let's try to avoid being too ambitious this early.
I don't think mine is too ambitious. It actually seems perfectly do-able with our skill set. Really, the hardest house actually seems like it'd be the lower-well one. 8 people is a lot harder to deal with than a simple 4, and the houses that are empty half the time are no problem at all.

Still, with our ability to know when we're right we could become a brilliant scientist even without the funds to build a proper death ray. That'll be useful for all sorts of stuff.

Plan all but one is super excessive. That's the type of shit that gets people noticed and asked pointed questions. We're just trying to quietly infiltrate the gang, not put a spot light on ourselves and if we show ourselves to be that capable of robbing four of the five houses by ourselves in a week, we'll be throwing up red flags. Like, seriously. We've already been told our actions will have consequences, let's be careful for now.

It's less the ambition robbing them actually is, and more the ambition it represents to the recruiter(s). We don't want to stand out too much, and that will draw attention. A single well-executed theft should present us as competent without overdoing it.

Edit: Basically what lazyminx said.

Yeah. If we wanted to stand out, why did we not reveal our powers in the first place? Is being some sort of rising star what we want?
