So, think Yamato will pick up any non harem buddies? Gather up a battle squad that's more than just him and his brother (plus their partners but ahhhhhh)?

As a side note, so far we've looked to be pretty Team Ritsuko (and boy howdy do I approve) but if we progress Elizabeth would Hayato end up with the beginning of his own harem? :p

I kid, though it would be funny since Yamato's are all intelligent and brainy while Hayato has Muscle Girl and Former Enemy...Dreamer(?).

Possibly. Depends on lots of factors. Your choices included.

Am thinking of doing his Chess Tournament next depending on somethings. So, that'll guarantee a rival.

Only thing we have set in stone is that Hayato will not have a harem (thus no more than two girlfriends).

As for Elizabeth, I-I WASN'T GOING TO REVEAL ANYTHING, LOS, HONEST, PUT THE RUBBER CHICKEN DOWN!!!

1. I never said that you guys couldn't get a Harem. You have essentially established yourselves as the Deuteragonist as of this point. A Harem is totally possible. But remember, you are still the "Bro Character" and you're getting cooler by the Week.

Don't want to reveal, too much. I'll just say this, there will be a drastic shift at some point.

When it happens, all your choices will be gathered up and they will determine how things go from ther.

2. I don't own a Rubber Chicken.

I use a Whiffle Ball Bat :).

Ability to get a harem does not imply the desire to get a harem. Personally, I'm against it.
Personally I don't mind too much...which is pretty odd for me cause I normally don't vibe with they're being too many love interest. Here it might be good for the content though, Ritsuko is pretty baller and I don't wanna drop that route but Elizabeth (assuming we can, ya know have her being a enemy work out fine in the end) seems like she'll have a juicy storyline. And I'm always a sucker for good story.

Maybe 2 is my internal limit? Questions for another time.

At this moment I'm of the mind that I want Hayato to have two waifus.

Week 9.4
Your name is Hose Kohei.

Your life is simple.

Wake up at home, beat your sisters to one of the showers, brush your teeth, then put on your uniform.

Then you say good morning to your three youngest sisters, before having a light spar with the two other sisters near your age. Then you say good morning to your mother, father, and grandfather along with more light sparring with grandfather. Then it's off to school.

You do pretty well for yourself in classes. Save for math. You can't really understand the more advanced stuff like why they add letters to numbers. But you're at least good enough to pass through the grades.

In your last year now. Grandfather was thinking of giving you dojo: a place where one of your brawn could truly express yourself, maybe even open it up to others wanting to learn.

As for school, most of the rich fuckers are assholes. You think you've made like two friends among them since you got here? And those two kind of drifted away after a bit. Thankfully, most of the guys and girls at the Club are cool. Thanks to them your life has been pretty cool.

Your life was fine. Nothing crazy happened. Life went on.

Until Hayato came around.

At first, you figured he was just a regular dude. Joined because of a scholarship and probably wanted to improve his skills. You could tell he had been in a few actual fights when he walked in and started training. The moves he had were only gained after being in multiple street fights. You knew cause you had been in some. Not a lot, but enough that you picked up a thing or two.

When he beat down Yunagi, you had to laugh. Yeah, he was gonna get in trouble for it, but it was satisfying to see that asshole laid out on the mat.

When the prick got you confined to your room, you immediately went to tell Hayato. At the time, it was mostly just out of a sense of responsibility. You saw this coming and thought the guy should know. Even after he said he'd deal with it, you figured he would just forget about it. Probably not step on anyone's toes after that. You wouldn't blame him and it's what most students here would do.

Then it all got dropped.

And when you learned why, you really started to like Hayato. Dude wasn't afraid to clap back. Even if it meant he had to get his brother to help out. You hung out with him a bit more after that. Learned about him. He learned about you. You became buds. It was nice.

He even trusted you to finish the fight during the Raid. While you still weren't sure how he managed to get through all those Kirin High assholes you wouldn't pry. It was his business. He'd tell you if he felt like he should.

But after that day you couldn't shake this feeling. Like there was something "special" about Hayato. He seems to just draw people in...or at least people of similar minds. He can't seem to get any of the richer students to come around, but the guys in the Club respect the crap out of the him. He always got offers to spar or train when he came to Club.

He was strong but in more ways than one. You didn't know exactly what way, but you knew one thing; That strength is what made him perfect for the Tournament. He would need help to learn the rules, get strong enough to win as much as he needed to, and properly represent Raijin. But he'd pull it off. Not just because he was strong or skilled. But because people would look up to him. He could stand for Raijin and not a single person in the Club would argue. They'd all cheer him on. Wish him the best.

And you knew he would take it seriously.

That he would do whatever he could to live up to those expectations.

How? Cause you'd do the same. You're kind of similar to him in lots of ways. Both of you enjoy working out, don't mind a good fight now and then, respect boundaries, even enjoy the same programming. You were so happy to find someone else who enjoyed Getter Robo as much as you did.

But...there was one thing one thing that separated you.

The only thing that you can really say bothers you.

When it comes to physical fitness you're...too much.

For everyone.

Your max time on a treadmill is five hours.

You can lift a 200lb weight over one hundred times before you start feeling anything.

You can eat large amounts of protein and never have to worry about getting the bad kind of fat.

All those things meant you left your fellow classmates in the dust during Physical Education. But that never bothered you. It was kind of fun to see everyone's jaw drop when you did the 100 meter run, then asked the teacher if you could keep going.

No, that wasn't the problem.

The problem was...there was no one to share things with.

People started to see you as something "above" them. Something that wasn't a normal person. And then they started to avoid you. You don't really understand why. You're a typical high schooler. You're just a bit tougher than everybody else. Didn't mean much though. Even when you explained that to them. If anything, it made some people stay farther away from you. They called you "special" or a "prodigy". But you're not.

You're just you.

That feeling of isolation. Of being better than everyone else. Of constantly having to hold yourself back just so other people can keep up with you. You know it all too well.

Which is why, right now, you slowly walk through the door way and set the two bottles of water you were getting down on a nearby table. You turn your attention to your buddy standing in the middle of the room. He has his eyes on his fist with his mouth set in a single determined line. You walk over until you're standing right beside him. He turns to you.

And you see something you're all too familiar with.

The realization that he's crossed a point of no return. That he's better than most regular people.

That he can't go all out without seriously hurting someone.

"Hose," his voice is monotone as he speaks to you.

"Yeah, Nagai?" you respond.

His eyes tweak upwards as a fierce grin comes over his features, "Think I'm good enough to bring home the gold now?"

You turn your gaze to the speed bag that Hayato was working on.

Well...what used to be a speed bag.

Now it was simply a hole in the ceiling. The actual speed bag lay absolutely destroyed while embedded in the wall on the opposite side of the room.

....You'll fix that later. Right now....

You share Hayato's smile and place a hand on his shoulder, "Damn right you can."

Hose seems to be physically good enough that he's running into the problem Hayato just ran into from skill.

Love this update, seeing the protag (or Bro in this case) from an outside pov is always great. Also it's neat to know Hose and Hayato now have that to relate to eachother with.

Is there a means to awaken/trigger someone's supernatural skill? Example being trying to teach Hose a martial art like ours, with due caution of course, would that work?
Like what? We can't teach him Unyielding Mountain unless we find another tank Partner for him to pair up with (in which case he can probably just learn it from them), I'm assuming he's already over the 90 MMA threshold so he's probably permanently mortal on that front, and we haven't broken through on any other martial arts yet.
