Right right, forgot to ask.
The vote does not specify what to do with Ludger. Does the thread have any preferences in that regard, or should I do what I think works best?
As for the deaths... well, Magical Girls. Remembering what those ladies do in CW's Quest, now imagine that turned on humankind itself.
(Fun Fact: The first thing the MG's destroyed during the war were all the nukes, to prevent a nuclear war on top of all the other stuff.)
-Primordial Sun passes out from the pain of having her leg broken from the impact and a wide gash in her other leg... oh, and the power behind the strike smashed her into what was left of the car
Result: You lost... pitifully
Turn 1:
-Primordial Sun casts Scorching Sunlight
(Scorching Sunlight: +640 Base Damage, +12 dice = 652 Total Damage
Judge: +250 Base Resilience, +245 dice = 495 Total Damage Reduction
157 Final End Damage
??? triggers, target is not there
No damage)
-Primordial Moon attacks with her scepter
(I am not bothering to write how that does no damage)
-Judge is pissed and lazors Primordial Sun
(Gaster Blaster: +770 Base Damage, +158 dice = 928 Total Damage
Primordial Sun: +65 Base Resilience, dice negated = 65 Total Damage Reduction
863 Final End Damage
Primordial Sun Remaining Health: 700 - 863 = -163)
-Primoridal Sun is lazored into a bloody puddle, Primordial Moon feels her sins crawling on her back
-Life Link, Primordial Moon dies
-Judge is surprised she managed a double kill in one shot, then horrified/surprised at how fast you went down
Result: You died
Well... Judge goes before Brave Heart, so you just die.
[X] Plan Leaving with Judge
-[X] [Eva] Crawl into the car and get your bags
-[X] [Rico] *To Judge* "We don't have anywhere to go or any food. Can you help us?"
-[X] If Brave tries to get us to come with her: "We can't go with you. This is not the life we want for ourselves. Please see to the safety of our mom and Mr. Driver. The car is busted, and they won't reach the city on their own."
You look back and forth between the unknown Magical Girls. The pretty one in pink looks serious and keeps staring at the scary one in blue and white. But she is an enforcer, so she will do bad things to you no matter what, right?
Big sister said to run, so... you should do that but... what about your mother? And Ludger?
The dreams you had of Anastasia come back to your mind and you realise that... you have no food... or anything, really.
Ugh... and you still feel this throbbing in your head. It got better when you transformed, but it is still there.
But you have your things in the car... uh, in the wreck. Hm...
You poke Rico and take the block away again to talk to her in your head, even when another wave of unsureness hits you for that.
Then you quietly understand what the other wants and get going.
"Um... I know we should be running, but... we don't have any food, miss... can you help us?"
You have no time to watch her reaction to Rico's question, seeing that you are already crawling back into the car to get your packs... good thing you made those, even though they were not for this kind of thing.
"Fair enough, I guess. I won't stay 'round for long though, kids... that's not my style. Just hurry, I'll be right behind you."
A wave of relief from Rico and the image of a smiling skele-uh don't think about it! Just get the thing out from where it is stuck...
"Wait a second, I'm not just letting you run off. You are arrested!"
There is some silence while you crawl around... and you use the time to look out of the shattered windows. There is a small forest nearby, still small and growing; and you can see a lake further away and... is that a city? Maybe, you are not sure.
"Look kid, we both know you're not going to pick a fight with civilians right next to us, especially after causing that accident-" "I wouldn't if you hadn't shot me!" "-whatever. The point is that you're now outnumbered and have other stuff to do. Sure you wanna give chase?"
Another moment of silence. The skele-girl seems to not care at all about taunting someone strong...
Huh...
"And that's not what we want", Rico chimes into their talk. "We don't want to live that way... so... uh... please make sure mommy and mister driver are okay?"
You are done in the car and crawl out on the other side, away from the Magical Girls. The skeleton-miss gives you a wink with her glowing eye, but she is the only one who can really see you.
Then both you and Rico dart away.
"Stop!"
(Blade of Judgement: +495 Base Damage, +14 dice, -100 threw her sword = 409 Total Damage
Primordial Sun: +65 Base Resilience, +3 dice, -15 turned her back, +15 sudden movement = 68 Total Damage Reduction
341 Final End Damage
Primordial Sun remaining Health: 700 - 341 = 359)
Searing pain in your side makes you gasp and your sister scream; it hurts horribly and you quickly, quickly... quickly press the block back in place to make the feeling go away.
Rico tumbles over the destroyed car and slaps to the ground next to you, the sword stuck in her left side and clutching herself while crying and whimpering. Blood trails after her... and then the weapon just vanishes and your twin screams again. You quickly turn around to get back to her, the pain knocking against the block even now. Ludger barks and there is a girlish yelp...
"Yeah, fuck you too. Blue Soul!"
There is bright light and a surprised scream on the other side... but you don't care. You quickly point your scepter at Rico and call out your own spell. "Soothing Moonlight!"
It... it does so little... Rico whimpers again and the blood comes a little slower, but you can still feel how hurt she is, both from your magic and from her.
You have to make it faster, but...
"Okay, kid... I carry your stuff, you carry your sis. We can take care of her later, my spell doesn't hold forever."
Huh? The other one is standing right next to you and... "What about-" "Bound in place."
"Hey, come back here!", the enforcer's voice calls over the car. "What did you do to me?!"
Then Ludger comes running after you, too...
You quickly throw off your things and pick up Rico. Why is it always her getting hurt?
No matter, you shake off the thought and get going, the older girl leading the way... uh... okay, you are kind of floating after her.
Rico shivers and your arm is all wet and red and... no, don't think about it carry on hurry this way uh...
You rush through the little forest and over a hill and through a meadow. When the skeleton-girl slows down for the hill, you manage to heal Rico twice more.
It is getting better, but still not good enough... but you have no time to balance her on one arm again and you need to aim with your scepter.
Actually, you drop it each time and call it back when you want to use it... that is easier. Rico dropped hers, too.
Your vision is blurry at times, but you make sure not to lose the older girl... clutching onto your twin who holds onto you and cries, too.
Even when fleeing like this, you can still think... you just left your mother... you just left everything behind.
What will they think of you?
. . .
Line Break Recognised . . .
"Okay..."
When the girl finally stops and sits down, panting as much as you do after flying this long... you just put Rico down gently and continue healing her.
(Primordial Sun Health: 503 + 197 = 700)
The bleeding stopped a while ago... but it is still all over you and her and you can smell it and... and...
WHY?!
Just why?
You hide your face in your hands and break down over your sister's chest. This is not fair! Everything was good, why did this have to happen?
Then you feel a pair of arms wrap around you and the block goes away again... and Rico pokes you and hugs you... you let her sit and hide yourself. Something -Ludger- pushes against your back and is warm and stays... but...
It's not fair.
It isn't.
But what do you do now?
No idea...
You can feel Rico's heart beating hard in her chest, right next to your ear... and you can feel your own beat just as strong.
A peek through your twin's eyes tells you that the other Magical Girl is watching the surroundings, your things on the ground next to her... she helped you... she is nice, even though she looks mean.
Just like big sister said.
Big sister...
Another wave of sadness rolls with your own and Rico holds you tighter... and you just cry.
It is not fair.
. . .
Line Break Recognised . . .
You are not sure how long you sat there, but the tears stop at some point. You have none left. Rico sniffles, too... and you can feel how wet your hair is. She cried, too.
There is a sigh next to you and looking up, you can see... uh... eh? Where did the blonde girl come from?
"You okay?"
Her voice sounds like that of the skeleton-girl... uh, is this how she looks like untransformed? She is tall and has grey eyes and... and she is thin. Not the pretty thin like big sister, but the bad thin you saw back in the shelter.
Remembering that she asked you something, you nod slightly and hug your sister again. "Y-Yes..."
Your throat hurts and you are thirsty... and hungry... and Rico feels the same.
The miss sighs again and sits down right next to you. "Sorry about... all of that."
You keep quiet... you want to say that it is okay, but it really is not. Nothing is okay anymore. "W-What do we do now?"
She looks back up at you, her small face unreadable for some reason. "Ugh... I told ya I can't stay around for long... with three of us hiding in the fields, they'll probably call a large search."
The older girl leans back and balances herself with her hands on the ground, then looks up at the sky. "Guess I'll have to see what I can do."
You feel so, so cold... you want your mother. And big sister, too... but you can not have that.
Ugh, if just your head would stop... huh? Since when was your head hurting?
"Soothing Moonlight."
The miss looks at you in confusion, your scepter now held at your own face.
(Soothing Moonlight: +36 Base Heal, +1 dice = 37 Total Damage Healed
Primordial Moon Health: 500 + 37 = 537)
It feels a lot better now... but there is still some stinging and pain and... you just cast again and sigh when it goes away. Much better
(Primordial Moon Health: 550)
"Heh, healing's a nice thing to have."
You look up... and the older girl is smirking down at you. Then her eyes go elsewhere... and you feel something lick your hand. It is Ludger, sitting on the ground and looking at you with his wide eyes. "And your dog is pretty good, too. Never saw one that could actually land a dropkick like that."
"A what?"
That was Rico, who slowly crawls out of your arms so you both can hug the corgi, who yips and snuggles against you. The girl just shrugs. "When the bi... the other girl hit you with that sword, he just jumped in her face and kicked her, then I bound her in place."
Oh...
You hug Ludger a little closer and feel his tongue all over your cheek. It tickles. Rico has her arms around the both of you and you can feel her settling down. You put the block back in place... it is... okay now. Somewhat. There is still this hollow feeling deep down, but at least you do not feel like crying any more.
You are big girls... so now you have to be brave.
Looking around, you find that you are in a small hole in the ground... not really deep, just enough to make people stop seeing you from afar. There are some other things lying around here, too. And there is the girl, still watching you with a weird look on her face.
Ah, right.
"T-Thank you, miss."
Your throat still hurts.
She blinks, then smirks again and shrugs. "Don't mention it, kid. Figured you've got enough s... crap thrown your way already."
You look around again when she does not say anymore. It looks like... "Do you live here?"
Now she gets sheepish and turns away. "Kind of, I'm travelin' most of the time. Never really staying 'round for long. You hungry?"
Huh... your tummy feels pretty empty. But it would be rude to just say yes, but... huh.
"Um... yes. A little."
"Me too."
Rico slowly lets go and checks herself, then you... and you notice how both of you are still covered in blood.
The realisation makes you jump and quickly detransform, your twin following you. The older girl gives you another look, looking you over with a little interest. Makes sense, you look almost as different to when you are transformed than she does.
Does this go for all Magical Girls?
Then she smirks again and slides over to her backpack. "Fair enough. Here you go."
And then she gives each of you a candy bar!
You both beam at the nice lady, who flinches back from your smiles for a moment. "Whoa, I can almost see the light."
She blinks and shrugs again before taking a candy bar of her own and unwrapping it. "By the way, I'm Judge."
