I just prefer to know only what the MC knows. Switching characters spoils things and also opens up to attempting to game the system using knowledge of a character that MC doesn't know.

Intimate knowledge of the character itself would be pretty spoilery.

Should be pointed out that these kinds of things are actually normal as shown with interludes. There is also the case that the QM could make it so that the players can't take advantage of a lot of things gained from them unless they know IC.

Wait, is Ada Lisa? You said she was based on someone from those and the first game was literally Lisa running around her own headscape.

Wonder if she can pull herself into it more or less. I exist here inside my mind but not physically here type deal.

Edit: she essentially shunts her body into her mind until she decides to pop out again. Though I assume that also means inhabiting her own subconscious for the duration.
Ada is only accidentally based on Buddy, then I just ran with it, but I can definitely see a bit of Lisa in there, if only in...

Ah. Spoilers.

More seriously, as much as I do joke about her pretty much being Buddy, she's very much her own character, so don't go looking at the games for clues on what's gonna happen. Also no, her ability is just intangibility. Think of it like Tyki Mikk's power. And it's not the one for the Fate Point anyway.

Something to chew on, though: if Semblances are a manifestation of an aspect of someone's personality... what leads to an ability like that?

@Prok Could we use Restore to fix Jaune's legs?
No, because there's technically nothing wrong with them. It's like having your legs fall asleep- annoying, inconvenient, possibly dangerous if you feel like braving stairs, but there's not actually anything wrong with them.

It's like that, but twenty times worse, but still not technically an injury.

Reboot() isn't some get out of injury free card, you know. It's really not built to deal with flesh and bone, it's more for, like, broken Scrolls, or teacups, or 40 tons of concrete. Small stuff.

Would it be possible to create a function that actually workds on flesh and bone to heal? Asking if it would be possible and actually practical to do.

Also how many students are left?

Seven. Your team, Saff, Moss, and Naia, who's just taking a minute to recover from being domed. Honest.

Also yes, you could even cannibalise Reboot() to create it. It would be better to find a proper healer, but those are rare as anything- the only person you would know of is Professor Teal, you know, that really shy teacher from the second update, and it would take several hours of her time to get the kind of reading you would need to create a Function out of her Aura. You can definitely ask, it would make for a higher-quality product, but you would have to tell her about the fact that you can basically copy Semblances, and then spend about four hours with her.

Only seven left? Nifty!

Considering we only need to be in the top Six to get a shot at Beacon, I am entirely happy with this current amount of students.

Oh in that case:

[X] Take out Naia while he is down, seriously, the guy is down at the moment and one more take down means that everyone on our team including us is guaranteed to pass and he is the easiest target here. Use ()Breach until his aura goes down, no point in taking chances now. Afterwards go see if your team is alright.

Seems obvious really.

So basically we just need 1 more student to be out of the fight to win right? I guess Saff (as much as I don't like him) is gonna be an instant in for Beacon if we finish Naia off right?

No shut up.

[X] Saff is still walking and he doesn't deserve a free ride. Naia can wait, Moss can wait, Saff is getting stomped into the curb. Jaunt() to Saff, activate Turn(). In Turn(), Crash()+Breach()+Spiral()+Breach().

Pretty much. Either way, anything after either of them are done in is purely for pride. Keep that in mind.

Also, purely for personal reasons, can someone find me a map of Minneapolis large enough to draw borders and routes on? The largest I can find is 900x900 and that's really not big enough.

also I find it adorable that you all think Saff's getting a free ride after everything that's happened like seriously he is in neck deep shit when this is over

Would it kill people to not give in to their hate boners and act rationally? I mean if Naia ends up recovering then takes out one of our team or Moss does before we take out Saff that would be on us and make us a failure of a team leader. Also:

Dude is not getting a free ride.

Naia's on the ground and Turn() hyperaccelerates time. If Naia can recover from Moss ringing his bell AND stand up in full armor before Jaune's ZA WARUDO ends, he can take out a team member right now and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Also frankly if he can do that he deserves a free ride.

And hey, rules as written. Pop Saff.

Actually he can get lucky and weather the attack like the last guy we used it on did do just that and we risk getting our functions locked for a few turns if he does manage to get really lucky buy using ()Turn. This is the very last moment, the last step on the journey and I'd rather we risk not fucking it up by giving in to a hate boner when we don't even need to do much since not only is Saff pretty much screwed against Lumen and likely is going to face repurcussions for the stunt he pulled tha endangered the lives of many of his fellow students.

As far as I am concerned taking a needless risk right when we a step away from the finish line and getting our functions locked for a few turns just for pettiness is just stupid.

Thank you, that's perfect! Don't worry, you'll see why I need it soon enough.

I see that text you've hidden there.
He is the one person undeniably responsible for people being actually injured. That shit ain't kosher.

Even if he somehow pulled an Ada and just went on a berserk rampage against everyone still standing, he'd still get his ass handed to him even if he took everyone else out single-handedly.

Like, that interlude is ready to go in my mind.

Would it kill people to not give in to their hate boners and act rationally?
I SAW THAT RUDENESS YOUNG MAN
Play nice, you two.

Don't make me put on my angry face.

More seriously, they're both bordering on harmless at this point, but Naia is pretty much a guaranteed knockout. If you want to hedge your bets, Naia, if you want proper catharsis, Saff.

If you want to do something useful, Moss.

If you want to be a shit, Ada.

If you genuinely feel like leaving it entirely up to the dice, Creme.

Wait, seriously? Oh right, the 17 run.

Hmm. You know what? Naia can play bait while he's down. Wait for Moss to pop out and then direct my Turn() combo from earlier at him, but move the Jaunt() from outside the run to the start. So:
[x] Scan for Moss, prepare Turn(). In Turn(), Jaunt()+Crash()+Breach()+Spiral().

Didn't mean any offense but that's the best phrase I could come up with tp describe it. Again being serious since that's the closest I could come up with for people wanting to abondon reason and try for a needlessly harder path just because they hate someone. I have seen people vote to pretty much commit suicide just out of sheer hate, not joking I have literally seen this happen a few weeks back in another quest. If I had a better and less offensive(I swear I didn't think it seemed offensive) sounding phrase to replace the one I used.

Okay that seems like an even worse idea, like horrible. Seriously, Moss has been critting all game and we are almost at the finish line. One of the easier targets is guaranteed to get us to Beacon without taking a needlessly stupid risk after everthing we have been through.

I am going to admit, the fact that this would be legitimately up in the air almost makes me consider this option. If we hadn't been helping them out this whole time, I'd just go for it.
Do it.

Do it. Roll the dice. You know you want to.

Quick question aren't our legs messed up how can we move enough to do all these plans.
Like the newborn colt, your legs will come to full strength very quickly, assuming you don't just fall on your face like a damn fool.

Seriously, one decent roll and you're alright. One bad roll and I turn the update into a Charlie Chaplin skit. It's not a particularly hard roll, it's just, you know, an important one.

Or you could vote to do something that could mitigate your jelly legs, like using your sword as an impromptu walking stick, or riding it side saddle, or taking careful steps, or even just taking a second to try and rub some life back into those juicy thighs of yours.

Honestly, I'm a bit confused about why nobody has attempted anything in their votes to mitigate the penalty.

... Wait, did I not-

and suffer a -3 penalty without doing anything to mitigate it
I DID!

YOU PEOPLE HAVE NO EXCUSE!

... Well the wording's a bit vague I suppose-

YOU PEOPLE HAVE AT LEAST ONE EXCUSE!
