#StickiedForAReason
Votes that do not follow the template will not be counted!

At this time I am using a counter system, listing the number of days votes take to be put into action. However for write-in votes you don't know how many days an action may take. For this we will use the old system of Major/Minor Decisions, and I will tell you how many days/weeks/months the plan will take. Remember that every month has 28 days, and that there are 13 months in the year with New Years as a special day alone outside the months. There is no leap year, as their calendar is not accurate to that degree.

Major decisions are any new endeavors. Finding new investments. Finding new allies (specify what type, where you're looking if possible, what you want from them, etc) finding new trainers, starting new training even if it is with people you already know... Anything new.

No mixing something that would qualify as a minor decision or free action into your major votes! If you have a question about your votes, ask me.

Talking with specific people about specific subjects. You can generally only talk with one person at a time with this. There are simple logical exceptions, Husband & Wife combos can be put together as one conversation, brother & sister, stuff like that. I'll clarify if a combo is unacceptable when I see the vote. This is also for continuing any long term action. Any major decision that you have already voted to start (not just mused about in-story) can be a minor action the next time around. Continuing training that you have already begun for example. Continuing a long-term investigation or plot. Stuff like this.

Making small talk with characters. You will not learn anything special really, but it gives you more insight into their backgrounds and history, can raise/lower their loyalty or other relationship points with you, etc. Raising/lowering and how much depends on rolls.

These can interrupt any current action(s) and will take precedence over the current plan. A way to change things on the fly as you discover new information or alternate ways to potentially enhance your plan, or change it completely if needed.

Remember for all votes if you take a guard or other individual with you, you will need to write-in which guard/person you take with you (just saying take a guard or ally will leave the decision of which one up to me) and also whether Daenerys tries to use any future knowledge on the decision as well if it is one of hers or she is present. (She still may decide to try and use her future knowledge without your consent if she thinks it necessary.) These details are sub-votes.

[] [Plan] X (Current Month, Short Term, Long Term, Immediate Actions, Purchases, etc.)
-[] Major Decisions: Character name here
--[] Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
--[] Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
-[] Minor Decisions: Character name here
--[] Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
--[] Minor Decision 2
-[] Free Actions: Character name here
--[] Free Action 1
---[] Sub-conditions
--[] Free Action 2
---[] Sub-conditions

You get the jist of this.

However, under the plan vote, you will then put a "Priority" Vote.

[] Aegon Priority: 1. Major Decision 1, 2. Free Action 2, 3. Minor Decision 1, 4. Major Decision 2, etc.
[] Daenerys Priority: 1. Free Action 2, 2. Major Decision 3, 3. Minor Decision 1, etc.

This way we can vote on the general plan, then I can separate the order of events in said plan.

Don't put V1, V2, or any other such revision information into your plan. Just leave it like I have it. Nothing extra. The tally system will update to your newest post. No need to make version markers. It just makes things harder for me.

If an action in a plan is not one for a specific character, more a general idea of what needs to be done, it will still need to go into the priority matrix.

At the end of all your votes, put your reasons explaining your vote choice. As I've said before, a plan with reasons will get more weight than one without. Because reasons matter. I care about reasons more than numbers. I need reasons to help build the characters. Get used to putting reasons into your plans, as eventually reasons will become a requirement rather than a suggestion. This post will change when that occurs.

[] [Plan] X

You may (but are not required to) put additional reasons to agree with that plan beneath your vote if there are reasons for it that the original vote creator didn't put in that you thought of. The more/better the reasoning inside explaining a vote, the greater the chance it will be added into the story.

Votes are typically closed after either 12 or 24 hours unless real life interferes. Ties will be either decided by me, or by whoever is in the forum or the Discord that has not voted already at the time. I will @ whoever is currently in the forum or Discord that I choose to be the tiebreaker.

Plans have specific timelines. Immediate Actions are obviously immediate. Current Month is similarly self-explanatory. Short Term is something that can conceivably be done within 1-3 months, and Long Term is 3-6 months.

Deities of Old Valyria
[X] Plan thepsyborg

The Five:

[X] Balerion
-[X] God of Becoming
--[X] Conquerors, explorers, traders beginning an entirely new venture, maids on their first moon's blood, and newlyweds may sacrifice to him. His greater feast is the first planting day in the spring. His lesser feast is the first night of the waxing crescent moon, the night after the new moon.
--[X] He is old, a vast, dull black dragon, a hunchbacked old man with a cane, or a still-hot ember of a once-mighty flame. Like all of the Five, his dominion is the opposite of his nature.

[X] Syrax
-[X] Goddess of Increasing
--[X] Inheritors of crowns or lordships, farmers planting their seed, traders reinvesting in a successful venture, pregnant women, and couples who seek pregnancy may sacrifice to her. Her greater feast is the first harvest of spring vegetables (lettuces, strawberries, etc) after a winter. Her lesser feast is the first quarter moon, the transition from waxing crescent to waxing gibbous.
--[X] She is elderly but spry; a large red or copper dragon, a mature woman with a cheerful smile, a brand burned down to the end.

[X] Meraxes
-[X] Goddess of Remaining
--[X] Kings, lords, parents of children no longer babes, and merchants in established businesses may sacrifice to her. Her greater feast is the First Long Day- as a winter fades, the first day with more than twelve hours from sunrise to sunset. Her lesser feast is the full moon.
--[X] She is quite young; a slim golden dragon, a teen in the flush of puberty, all knees and elbows and bosom, a bonfire just coming alight.
--[X] The secret of forging Valyrian Steel is held jointly between her and Balerion, as it is the art of creating new things that are themselves timeless and enduring.

[X] Caraxes
-[X] God of Declining
--[X] Old men and women, sellers of the assets of failed businesses, sheep-shearers and farmers at harvest-time, and scavengers amongst ruins of those who came before may sacrifice to him. His greater feast is the last day of harvest before a winter comes. His lesser feast is the third quarter moon.
--[X] He is in the prime of life, a powerful bronze dragon, a strong man, a roaring hearthfire.

[X] Morghul
-[X] God of Ending
--[X] None sacrifice to him, save the debased rites of the Faceless Men, but on the first winter's night that exceeds twelve hours no son or daughter of Valyria dares offer prayer or sacrifice at all, lest he take notice. He has shrines, and all bow when they pass, but only the reckless or truly desperate dare draw his attention beyond the basic honours due any of the gods.
--[X] He is a child, a dragonet in bright silver or glittering, polished black, with no flame but claws and fangs far too large for his size; a boy of seven years; the first spark struck of flint and steel or clashing blades.

The Three:

[X] Tyraxes
-[X] God of the Weather and the Sky, husband of Vermax and Vermithor.
--[X] Dragonriders and ravenmasters pray to him for swift flight; sailors pray to him and Vermithor for clear skies and calm seas, and farmers to him and Vermax for rain and fertile fields. He is ever fickle, torn between the competing interests of his loves and of his worshipers.
--[X] He is a brilliant blue dragon, always and ever on the wing.

[X] Vermax
-[X] Goddess of the Earth and Stone, wife of Tyraxes.
--[X] She is a brown dragon, seated upon a mountaintop.

[X] Vermithor
-[X] Goddess of the Sea and Shore, wife of Tyraxes.
--[X] She is a dark blue dragon, racing the waves to the end of the world.

The Two:

[X] Meleys
-[X] Goddess of the Hearts and Minds of Men.
--[X] The magics of scrying on far-away people, and of spells of love and hate, are within her domain, as are mundane insights into the thoughts and ways of people.
--[X] She is a pale-green dragon with two tongues, one dripping poison and the other honey.

[X] Vhagar
-[X] God of the Ways of Birds and Beasts.
--[X] The magics of breeding animals with supernatural traits, of compelling the obedience of wild animals, and of enhancing the fertility of domestic ones, are within his domain, as are purely mundane techniques for similar purposes.
--[X] He is a bright red dragon, or a grey one with bloodied teeth and claws.

The One:

[X] Shrykos
-[X] Dreaming Goddess of What Was And May Be, Yet Is Not.
--[X] She is the Sixth of Five; her domain is kin to theirs, yet she is not their equal, for her dominion does not truly exist. Past and future are open to her, alone of her kin. The knowledge of things to come and things past are hers to give, and the wise heed the counsel of her favored.
--[X] She is a thousand forms, a million shapes, most of them weird and terrible, but always pure white from head to toe or nose to tail. Sometimes, in the very oldest carvings, she is even seen as a three-eyed dragon, kin and rival and playmate and lover and murderer of and slain by a three-eyed crow.

The One-Eyed One

[X] Urrax
-[X] God of Light and the Sun
--[X] In the Age of Heroes, lost an eye to his jealous brother's treachery. His brother was cast out (or perhaps merely fled) into the dark, and Urrax withdrew from active involvement in the realms of men and gods alike. From high above he looks down on them, ever searching for his lost brother, but never finding him.
--[X] He is either a radiant golden dragon with one eye blinded, or the literal sun.
--[X] Once, and perhaps still, the most powerful of the gods, but distant and aloof. His shrine is at the head of every Valyrian temple, but there is no altar before it. Urrax does not answer prayer nor reward sacrifice, yet all life ultimately depends on his light.

The Zero:

[X] He-Who-Was-Once-Serwyn
-[X] God of Ice, Cold, and Night. (Also not a god of fire, alone of all the Valyrian gods.)
--[X] None worship him, and he has no feast days nor shrines nor altars. Some temples may have an empty plinth in the place where his image would be, but even this has fallen out of style in recent centuries.
--[X] Ashamed of striking his brother (or more likely fearing his wrath) he fled into the dark, and the dark took him into its bosom.
--[X] At night all dragons are grey, and so is the Nameless God. He was once red and gold and blue-white, like flames under a bellows, but no longer.

(I didn't end up using Tessarion; I considered having him be a god of plant life and green things [part of the Meleys-of-Men and Vhagar-of-Beasts grouping], but on the one hand that infringed too much on Syrax and Vermax, and on the other I sort of want to leave plant and tree magic to the Old Gods of the North and the First Men. All Valyrian gods are fire gods, after all; it would be weird to have a fire god of plants.)

(Edit: And then added another 1 and a 0 to complete the reverse fibbonacci sequence and couldn't resist borrowing from the legend of Serwyn of the Mirror Shield.)

Meraxes = God of Crafts and Passion. As in Gaemon the Dragon Steel story/thread that was recently moved here from AH.

Will put forth an opinion on other gods later.

Just some brainstorming. I might change and add stuff later. Everyone feel free to pick and choose a few, and expand on their descriptions.

Balerion - God of War: domains of war, strife, and mortal combat

Syrax - Goddess of Magic: domains of sorcery, and prophecy

Caraxes - God of The Forge: domains of smithing, and craftsmen

Meleys - Goddess of Beauty: domains of love, and fertility

Tyraxes - God of Debauchery: domains of pleasure and merrymaking

Vermax - Goddess of Deceit: domains of lies and treachery

Vermithor - God of Order: domains of law, and slaves

Tessarion - Goddess of Chaos: domains of change and growth

Vhagar - God of Knowledge: domains of scholars and logic

Shrykos - Goddess of Life: the harvest and livestock

Morghul - God of Death. (Valar Morghulis) This one is set. All pantheons have a God of Death.

I like what you did here. You'll have to edit the feasts as winter and summer only happen every few years, (it has been summer for a VERY long time) unless that was the intent, but very nice. Little details like the two tongues were awesome.

You could have a god of growing things. Sun god of light, the "great fire" in the sky that bring food and life that all things but the gods themselves require.

Whether your chosen domains win or not, I think I'm gonna offer you a free nat20 on any d20 roll in exchange for making similar descriptions for whatever vote DOES win.

That was exactly the intent- an infrequent/irregular feast with the great cycle of summer and winter, and a frequent/regular feast with the lesser lunar cycle.
but very nice. Little details like the two tongues were awesome.
Thanks!

Growing things I figured would be mostly under Syrax, as it falls easily under "increase". A sun/light god is an interesting idea. It would ruin the 5-3-2-1 reverse fibbonaci sequence thing I had going though, unless I added it as another 1 (possibly with a night/dark god as 0? but Other!Dragon!God is a scary thought).

...I can do that

The Valyrians do need their own legends for why Winter comes. Perhaps a 15th god/dess who was cast out, who is of Ice and Night. After all, Winter existed before the Night King.

[X] thepsyborg's pantheon
[X] The Zeroth, The One Beneath, Anticlastix. Rarely prayed to, but featured in every story, they are the god of the void, the god of the world, the god of all. They slumber eternally and upon their rests the world. Every breath out brings a summer; every breath in brings a winter. When these breaths end the world shall end; when he awakens the world shall die in fire. While often portrayed as a dragon sleeping amidst a sea of stars, in truth their shape is unknowable. This sometimes leads others to paint them as a broken circle, traditionally using their thumb with blood as the ink.

The made up names are subject to change if they are unpopular, but I feel like I covered my bases. If @Lunasmeow can tell me if I have the domains correctly spread out, that'd be great. I'll edit accordingly.

Brilliant. Added Urrax and the Nameless, He-Who-Was-Once-Serwyn.

Will the magics talked about in @thepsyborg. Be the only magic we could use if his or her plan is the one chosen @Lunasmeow
Probably not. Just the only ones whose spells are recorded in Valyrian religious lore and benefit from those gods' blessing if they're pleased with us. We could theoretically learn any branch of magic that's not tied to a specific bloodline we don't carry (e.g. warging) or a gift from gods we don't follow (e.g. the greensight, at least in my headcanon). But the magic of the Valyrians and their gods and dragons will be the easiest for us to discover, learn, use, and/or deal with the side effects of.

Dude, how long did that take?

Great descriptions, reasoning, you even added a god of your own. Nice work.

The made up names are subject to change if they are unpopular, but I feel like I covered my bases. If @Lunasmeow can tell me if I have the domains correctly spread out, that'd be great. I'll edit accordingly.
Wisdom and Revenge can have a second.

Will the magics talked about in @thepsyborg. Be the only magic we could use if his or her plan is the one chosen @Lunasmeow
Some magics will be beyond you. Water magic for example as it is the opposite of fire, and supposedly the domain of Mother Rhoyne, the water mages took out three or so dragons in battle before Valyria responded with 300 dragons instead. Nymeria then left to Westeros. I wonder what magics the Dornish can use...

But yeah. You will get magic from your deities. Others can be learned so long as they have some relation to fire or shadow (as fire can cast shadows) but shadow magic is MUCH harder, and (if psyborg wins) is looked upon as being almost-but-not-quite kin to the nameless one's power.

Also, one of the deities needs to be the one who taught binding magic to the Valyrians. The binding magic used to bind dragons to their will.

@thepsyborg Except yours. I have an idea for that for your pantheon.

Also, change your pantheon so it looks like the new format. That way people can just vote on Plan Snorlax or Plan thepsyborg etc and vote for your whole pantheon.

If you need an example, I edited the original post where I said to vote on the pantheons. It is also threadmarked now for easy refrencing.

Depends. Remember I have now officially "hired" him to do descriptions for any winning pantheon. So go with the DOMAINS you like, not the descriptions.

I chose it because I obviously liked it, if something I didn't like or felt indifferent to, even if it was Tolkien detailed, I wouldn't chose it.

[X] Look into the book you permanently 'Borrowed' from Illyro, It must have some value to you. Otherwise the fat man wouldn't have included it in the gifts.
