#StickiedForAReason
Votes that do not follow the template will not be counted!

At this time I am using a counter system, listing the number of days votes take to be put into action. However for write-in votes you don't know how many days an action may take. For this we will use the old system of Major/Minor Decisions, and I will tell you how many days/weeks/months the plan will take. Remember that every month has 28 days, and that there are 13 months in the year with New Years as a special day alone outside the months. There is no leap year, as their calendar is not accurate to that degree.

Major decisions are any new endeavors. Finding new investments. Finding new allies (specify what type, where you're looking if possible, what you want from them, etc) finding new trainers, starting new training even if it is with people you already know... Anything new.

No mixing something that would qualify as a minor decision or free action into your major votes! If you have a question about your votes, ask me.

Talking with specific people about specific subjects. You can generally only talk with one person at a time with this. There are simple logical exceptions, Husband & Wife combos can be put together as one conversation, brother & sister, stuff like that. I'll clarify if a combo is unacceptable when I see the vote. This is also for continuing any long term action. Any major decision that you have already voted to start (not just mused about in-story) can be a minor action the next time around. Continuing training that you have already begun for example. Continuing a long-term investigation or plot. Stuff like this.

Making small talk with characters. You will not learn anything special really, but it gives you more insight into their backgrounds and history, can raise/lower their loyalty or other relationship points with you, etc. Raising/lowering and how much depends on rolls.

These can interrupt any current action(s) and will take precedence over the current plan. A way to change things on the fly as you discover new information or alternate ways to potentially enhance your plan, or change it completely if needed.

Remember for all votes if you take a guard or other individual with you, you will need to write-in which guard/person you take with you (just saying take a guard or ally will leave the decision of which one up to me) and also whether Daenerys tries to use any future knowledge on the decision as well if it is one of hers or she is present. (She still may decide to try and use her future knowledge without your consent if she thinks it necessary.) These details are sub-votes.

[] [Plan] X (Current Month, Short Term, Long Term, Immediate Actions, Purchases, etc.)
-[] Major Decisions: Character name here
--[] Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
--[] Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
-[] Minor Decisions: Character name here
--[] Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
--[] Minor Decision 2
-[] Free Actions: Character name here
--[] Free Action 1
---[] Sub-conditions
--[] Free Action 2
---[] Sub-conditions

You get the jist of this.

However, under the plan vote, you will then put a "Priority" Vote.

[] Aegon Priority: 1. Major Decision 1, 2. Free Action 2, 3. Minor Decision 1, 4. Major Decision 2, etc.
[] Daenerys Priority: 1. Free Action 2, 2. Major Decision 3, 3. Minor Decision 1, etc.

This way we can vote on the general plan, then I can separate the order of events in said plan.

Don't put V1, V2, or any other such revision information into your plan. Just leave it like I have it. Nothing extra. The tally system will update to your newest post. No need to make version markers. It just makes things harder for me.

If an action in a plan is not one for a specific character, more a general idea of what needs to be done, it will still need to go into the priority matrix.

At the end of all your votes, put your reasons explaining your vote choice. As I've said before, a plan with reasons will get more weight than one without. Because reasons matter. I care about reasons more than numbers. I need reasons to help build the characters. Get used to putting reasons into your plans, as eventually reasons will become a requirement rather than a suggestion. This post will change when that occurs.

[] [Plan] X

You may (but are not required to) put additional reasons to agree with that plan beneath your vote if there are reasons for it that the original vote creator didn't put in that you thought of. The more/better the reasoning inside explaining a vote, the greater the chance it will be added into the story.

Votes are typically closed after either 12 or 24 hours unless real life interferes. Ties will be either decided by me, or by whoever is in the forum or the Discord that has not voted already at the time. I will @ whoever is currently in the forum or Discord that I choose to be the tiebreaker.

Plans have specific timelines. Immediate Actions are obviously immediate. Current Month is similarly self-explanatory. Short Term is something that can conceivably be done within 1-3 months, and Long Term is 3-6 months.

To be clear, when you choose to worship one set of gods, the others cannot curse you. Your deity protects your from such. However you may LOSE any gifts the gods gave you already.

If you choose a specific set of deities, you get blessings in line with said deities.

If you choose NO deities, the gods get angry, and ALL of them hate you. Multiple curses from each. (Which explains the harder rolls incurred from this choice.) Plus one MAJOR curse (terrible event) per year that you have to roll a d100 to avoid or else defeat said event with your own skill.

Because you roll so well, I'm going to tell you straight up this one time. If you choose no gods, the major event they send at you is an attempt to make you lose Illyrio's treasure.
I think some of you may be wondering why the gods would do such a thing. Simple really. Gods figure that if you won't worship them, then you obviously aren't desperate enough. Then the simple thing to do is to make you desperate enough to beg for divine favor. Then, once they've granted it, you will owe them and do the things they need you to do for them.

Everything has motivations remember. Even gods. And these gods are not like the Abrahamic one. They are not "all powerful". They are more like pagan gods, with great but limited powers. They need mortals to be their little tools sometimes.

[X] That dream was too important to let go of so easily. Try again to remember what it was about.

I have enough faith in Braavos' public safety that I'm not certain hiring multiple bodyguards is really necessary at this time. At least in the books, Willem Darry apparently never felt the need to hire guards (he only hired servants) despite being bedridden and blind. I also feel that hiring bodyguards really isn't something you can or should do in a day. It's something that really requires a more in-depth interview process and I want to settle into the city more (maybe hear rumors about the local Bravos before we begin that process).

I wonder if anyone has figured out my method of giving out hints yet...

Oh, btw - It is a good thing the option for staying in the cabin with Daenerys the whole trip didn't win. You'd have created a dependency with her. Helping is good, but there is such a thing as helping too much.

Simple reasoning here. Dreams are often the easiest to remember as soon as you have them, and doing this now, shouldn't take too long.

The second option should be next as while Braavos is safe, you can't be too careful seeing as it is our only assets in this city, and if the Iron Bank is anything it is safe and reliable. While no one has noticed the treasure we are carrying so far, you never know when someone might get curious and try their luck.

From there it should be easy to see if we can use the Iron Bank to ask if they have any recommendations for bodyguards. While we may have only just left Pentos, we don't know how long it will be until Illyrio sends people looking for us, or if Robert's men are still on the prowl. It's best to be careful here.

All of the other options here seem like something we can do later after we establish ourselves.

[X]Buy a cloak before leaving the ship, even if we have to overpay. If Dany still have hers buy only one, if not buy one for each.

[X] That dream was too important to let go of so easily. Try again to remember what it was about.

[X] Go and put the bulk of your treasure in the Iron Bank.

[X] Hit the marketplace. Before all else, you need to disguise yourselves. And for that you need things.

Shouldn't we prioritize hiring bodyguards and then search for a house? We are alone just us and Dany, just looking around we may seem easy targets.

Edit: Changed vote, people brought great reasoning and new options.

We can stay in a inn for a bit, gotta get access to the true book.

Generally I prefer if you explain your votes. However, for votes like this where I SPECIFICALLY request that you explain your argument, the votes count for less than the rationale. Better reasoning will trump numbers in this kind of vote, but that depends on how close the vote is. If the vote is close, reasoning wins. If the vote is not close, then vote wins.

But I wanted codependency!

It would have made for a better story! Begone you min-maxer! :V

Remembering dreams is best done right after having said dream. Do it on our way to the marketplace for maximum recall.
Then we need disguises. Are we gonna deposit our funds under our real name?
After that, deposit the money we don't need right now for home/bodyguards. We can ask around at the bank and get them, along with news about Viserys, next turn.

Hmm, the book thing is quite simple. Say a few words(prayers), cut your palm/finger and boom. Spellbook. We can do it in like, fifteen minutes.

True, since we woke up right when we were dreaming, we have a very good chance of remembering in its entirety. But we need to try and remember it right after we wake up.

Our long term memory fires up only after we wake up, so this would be the best time to do it.

As others have said, it's easiest to remember a dream as soon as you wake up. Furthermore, we can do it on the way to

[X] Go and put the bulk of your treasure in the Iron Bank.

Let's not walk around with a fortune on our backs for a second longer than we have to.

[X] Hit the marketplace. Before all else, you need to disguise yourselves. And for that you need things.

With our fortune secured we can take steps to disguise ourselves before seeking help.

Well it seems that we can become a sorcerer really early in the quest, it seems to good a chance to pass.

1. Weird dreams tend to be important in this setting, so we shouldn't let it pass us by.

2. Secure our new wealth. Its useless to us if it gets stolen.

3. Protection. Targs look pretty distinctive, so its not impossible for someone to figure out or at least suspect who we are.
