#StickiedForAReason
Votes that do not follow the template will not be counted!

At this time I am using a counter system, listing the number of days votes take to be put into action. However for write-in votes you don't know how many days an action may take. For this we will use the old system of Major/Minor Decisions, and I will tell you how many days/weeks/months the plan will take. Remember that every month has 28 days, and that there are 13 months in the year with New Years as a special day alone outside the months. There is no leap year, as their calendar is not accurate to that degree.

Major decisions are any new endeavors. Finding new investments. Finding new allies (specify what type, where you're looking if possible, what you want from them, etc) finding new trainers, starting new training even if it is with people you already know... Anything new.

No mixing something that would qualify as a minor decision or free action into your major votes! If you have a question about your votes, ask me.

Talking with specific people about specific subjects. You can generally only talk with one person at a time with this. There are simple logical exceptions, Husband & Wife combos can be put together as one conversation, brother & sister, stuff like that. I'll clarify if a combo is unacceptable when I see the vote. This is also for continuing any long term action. Any major decision that you have already voted to start (not just mused about in-story) can be a minor action the next time around. Continuing training that you have already begun for example. Continuing a long-term investigation or plot. Stuff like this.

Making small talk with characters. You will not learn anything special really, but it gives you more insight into their backgrounds and history, can raise/lower their loyalty or other relationship points with you, etc. Raising/lowering and how much depends on rolls.

These can interrupt any current action(s) and will take precedence over the current plan. A way to change things on the fly as you discover new information or alternate ways to potentially enhance your plan, or change it completely if needed.

Remember for all votes if you take a guard or other individual with you, you will need to write-in which guard/person you take with you (just saying take a guard or ally will leave the decision of which one up to me) and also whether Daenerys tries to use any future knowledge on the decision as well if it is one of hers or she is present. (She still may decide to try and use her future knowledge without your consent if she thinks it necessary.) These details are sub-votes.

[] [Plan] X (Current Month, Short Term, Long Term, Immediate Actions, Purchases, etc.)
-[] Major Decisions: Character name here
--[] Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
--[] Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
-[] Minor Decisions: Character name here
--[] Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
--[] Minor Decision 2
-[] Free Actions: Character name here
--[] Free Action 1
---[] Sub-conditions
--[] Free Action 2
---[] Sub-conditions

You get the jist of this.

However, under the plan vote, you will then put a "Priority" Vote.

[] Aegon Priority: 1. Major Decision 1, 2. Free Action 2, 3. Minor Decision 1, 4. Major Decision 2, etc.
[] Daenerys Priority: 1. Free Action 2, 2. Major Decision 3, 3. Minor Decision 1, etc.

This way we can vote on the general plan, then I can separate the order of events in said plan.

Don't put V1, V2, or any other such revision information into your plan. Just leave it like I have it. Nothing extra. The tally system will update to your newest post. No need to make version markers. It just makes things harder for me.

If an action in a plan is not one for a specific character, more a general idea of what needs to be done, it will still need to go into the priority matrix.

At the end of all your votes, put your reasons explaining your vote choice. As I've said before, a plan with reasons will get more weight than one without. Because reasons matter. I care about reasons more than numbers. I need reasons to help build the characters. Get used to putting reasons into your plans, as eventually reasons will become a requirement rather than a suggestion. This post will change when that occurs.

[] [Plan] X

You may (but are not required to) put additional reasons to agree with that plan beneath your vote if there are reasons for it that the original vote creator didn't put in that you thought of. The more/better the reasoning inside explaining a vote, the greater the chance it will be added into the story.

Votes are typically closed after either 12 or 24 hours unless real life interferes. Ties will be either decided by me, or by whoever is in the forum or the Discord that has not voted already at the time. I will @ whoever is currently in the forum or Discord that I choose to be the tiebreaker.

Plans have specific timelines. Immediate Actions are obviously immediate. Current Month is similarly self-explanatory. Short Term is something that can conceivably be done within 1-3 months, and Long Term is 3-6 months.

- [x] Fire and Blood will be brought to our enemies, but we must take care not to lose who we are in doing so. While her anger was better than her depression, it would be sad to never see Dany smile as she once did.

[x] To Whom Do You Pray?
- [x] The ancient gods of Valyria. Your house has fallen on hard times, and it seems that the degradation started once Aegon the Conqueror converted to the worship of these Westerners. Dragons grew smaller until they no longer hatched, madness appeared in your bloodlines, sorcerous abilities and dreams of the future were lost, and now the last of the lines of the Dragonlords is nearly extinct. Perhaps honoring the Dragon Deities of your forefathers will see a return to prosperity. Fire and Blood are your Words for a reason.
-[X] With just a small offering to R'hllor as a precaution, if the rumours are to be believed, he's probably one of the most powerful gods on Planetos.

We seem to have a lot of Valyrian traits. It would be a shame to loose them. That's the reason for my vote. I am not stoked about playing a missionary for gods, but I guess we could make an exemption for Valyrian religion because it's almost extinct.

Also I think bringing back an almost dead religion will net us greater rewards than any other religion.
When I said you would lose any gifts the gods already gave, I don't mean you will lose traits. However if for example, you have Sorcery unlocked due to the gift of the Valyrian gods, it would once more be locked until you found a way to re-activate it. The gods cannot take away your potential, only their assistance.

As for playing missionary; the Valyrian gods didn't make the Dragonlords push their religion onto others. The Dragonlords allowed any religion in their empire. The Valyrian gods have other agendas than gaining foreign worshipers.

So, if they don't care about which gods people worship, are we allowed to leave gifts to R'hllor? As a precaution, I mean. The guy is crazy powerful.

They don't care which gods the subjects worship. Which is why the slaves and conquered could worship whomever. They cared who the Dragonlords worshiped though. Of that you can be sure. As for leaving gifts to R'hllor... They may take it as you being pragmatic due to his strong presence in Essos, or they may take it amiss due to you being a potential dragonlord. I'll not tell you everything before you choose.

Ah, well... we could at least burn some blood or some little creature alive, just in case?
I hadn't thought that anyone would even consider "gifts" to placate other deities. So in story there will be a chance for it, and I'll leave that idea of yours to a separate vote later.

297 AC, Fourth Month, 15th Eve
One Last Eve Upon the Waves

Your days have been filled with working with the crew, your nights with drawing Dany out of her shell and studying the book from Illyrio's storeroom. From what you can tell it seems to be a book from Valyria itself. It tells of the great sorcerers of Valyria and the magic they once wielded. For some reason though the book hints at there being instruction within on how to perform the ancient spells, nothing you see tells you. You have a feeling of utter certainty that there is more within, like when there is a word you can't remember, and it is sitting on the tip of your tongue. With a whispered curse you slam the book shut, pushing it aside for further study at a later date.

Dany jumps slightly at your reaction, then smiles when she sees what set you off. This has been a common occurrence on the journey. "Go to sleep Egg," she says. "It's getting late. Maybe you'll figure it out in the morning."

You've noticed that she never goes to sleep before you, always staying up until after you've fallen asleep yourself. You aren't sure if she's up to something at night, or if she's staying awake to make sure you don't disappear like Viserys did. You hope that it's the former, that she isn't developing a delusion, but there isn't much you can do.

You've tried to stay awake while feigning sleep to see what she's up to, but Daenerys always knows when you're doing it. Every time you've tried it, without fail, she simply climbs into your bed and cuddles up to you until you fall asleep. You know that she knows because she never does that when you aren't trying to stay awake, and she's never there in the morning either. Every time you wake up she is in her own bed, so she isn't merely feeling lonely without Viserys and wanting company, or afraid of the storms like when you were children.

'Girls.'

Sighing at your thoughts, you know that she's right. This night you can't afford to stay up too late as tomorrow morning you dock in Braavos. While you have plenty of money, you'll need your full wits about you if you're going to try and make a decent bargain on a purchase of a home and a contract for guards in a city famed for its merchants. You know you're likely to get the worst of any deals, but it will only be worse if you're half awake due to staying up 'til ungodly hours.

"Are you going to tell me what you're up to at night, or will you just crawl in with me again if I try to watch and find out?" you ask deciding to just dispense with the ruse.

Daenerys, in a moment of immaturity that shows how young that she still is, (Well, both of you really but you brush that thought aside. You're 16, a man by all common standards.) simply sticks her tongue out at you and smiles impishly before going back to brushing her hair, as you prepare for bed yourself.

The thought of her age reminds you - her nameday is in a few months. The twenty-seventh day of the seventh month. Her 16th. She'll be a woman full grown then, even in places like Asshai that supposedly wait the longest to consider people adults - and it would be nice if you were able to actually celebrate it properly for once. Especially this one. Another sigh escapes you. One more thing to plan for.

'How did Viserys do it all?' You wonder. 'Here I have only one charge and gold enough for the both of us. He had two charges and nary a coin to his name.' Not for the first time you wonder if you'll be able to live up to the standard that your uncle set for himself.

Eventually sleep overtakes you, and you dream.

Towers higher than you've ever seen stretch into the clouds, with roads of higher quality than any you've traveled upon at your feet. All around you are the facial features of Valyria, old and young, comely and fair. In the distance you can see 14 lightly smoking mountains, and before you is a temple to Syrax, one of the Dragon Goddess of Valyria.

You enter the temple to find it strangely empty. When you look around you see paintings of dragons in battle, feasting on cattle, and being ridden by powerful looking warriors in armor made of Valyrian Steel. Armor such as that would be worth entire Kingdoms now, you can't help but think to yourself.

Once you are finished with the paintings you notice a single figure, female in long flowing robes that hide her features as best they can. Were it not for her shapely... physique that even the most flowing of robes could not properly shroud, you wouldn't even be able to tell the gender of the one whom stands before you. The woman raises her right arm and points to a door in the furthest reaches of the room. Was that there before? Or did you just not notice it?

Walking towards it you see ornaments of dragons adorning all the furniture in the room. Benches, tables, chandeliers... It would be ostentatious if it wasn't so well done that it seemed natural, as if the dragons were just a part of the material.

When you open the door the handle is warm to the touch, and inside you see a book. One you have been studying every night for the last 2 weeks. Another person in robes holds it in their hands, their back to you so that they are unaware of your presence. "Syrax, guide my sight," you hear the man say in High Valyrian, his voice giving away his gender. Then he pricks his hand, and presses his blood to the cover. The book glows slightly, and opens revealing-

You wake to the captain knocking on your door. "Aye, up lad! We've arrived, and you'll either be off the ship now or be forced to wait until we've unloaded all our cargo! I'll not have ye walking around the deck while we're trying to move our things getting underfoot!"

"Alright!" you reply, "We'll be out in just a moment!"

As you begin to dress you feel certain you dreamed something important last night. Something about... You shake your head clear of the fog that covers your drowsy mind. No matter. You'll remember eventually. It is time to see what the city of Braavos has to offer.

[X] Go and put the bulk of your treasure in the Iron Bank.

[X] Find and purchase a home

[X] Find and hire bodyguards.

Simply put, we need our cash in the safest place around, IE, the Bank. While the eggs might not be safe there, the gold and such MUST be kept safe at all costs.

While there, we can ask for potential homes or bodyguards that the Bank would recommend.
