#StickiedForAReason
Votes that do not follow the template will not be counted!

At this time I am using a counter system, listing the number of days votes take to be put into action. However for write-in votes you don't know how many days an action may take. For this we will use the old system of Major/Minor Decisions, and I will tell you how many days/weeks/months the plan will take. Remember that every month has 28 days, and that there are 13 months in the year with New Years as a special day alone outside the months. There is no leap year, as their calendar is not accurate to that degree.

Major decisions are any new endeavors. Finding new investments. Finding new allies (specify what type, where you're looking if possible, what you want from them, etc) finding new trainers, starting new training even if it is with people you already know... Anything new.

No mixing something that would qualify as a minor decision or free action into your major votes! If you have a question about your votes, ask me.

Talking with specific people about specific subjects. You can generally only talk with one person at a time with this. There are simple logical exceptions, Husband & Wife combos can be put together as one conversation, brother & sister, stuff like that. I'll clarify if a combo is unacceptable when I see the vote. This is also for continuing any long term action. Any major decision that you have already voted to start (not just mused about in-story) can be a minor action the next time around. Continuing training that you have already begun for example. Continuing a long-term investigation or plot. Stuff like this.

Making small talk with characters. You will not learn anything special really, but it gives you more insight into their backgrounds and history, can raise/lower their loyalty or other relationship points with you, etc. Raising/lowering and how much depends on rolls.

These can interrupt any current action(s) and will take precedence over the current plan. A way to change things on the fly as you discover new information or alternate ways to potentially enhance your plan, or change it completely if needed.

Remember for all votes if you take a guard or other individual with you, you will need to write-in which guard/person you take with you (just saying take a guard or ally will leave the decision of which one up to me) and also whether Daenerys tries to use any future knowledge on the decision as well if it is one of hers or she is present. (She still may decide to try and use her future knowledge without your consent if she thinks it necessary.) These details are sub-votes.

[] [Plan] X (Current Month, Short Term, Long Term, Immediate Actions, Purchases, etc.)
-[] Major Decisions: Character name here
--[] Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
--[] Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
-[] Minor Decisions: Character name here
--[] Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
--[] Minor Decision 2
-[] Free Actions: Character name here
--[] Free Action 1
---[] Sub-conditions
--[] Free Action 2
---[] Sub-conditions

You get the jist of this.

However, under the plan vote, you will then put a "Priority" Vote.

[] Aegon Priority: 1. Major Decision 1, 2. Free Action 2, 3. Minor Decision 1, 4. Major Decision 2, etc.
[] Daenerys Priority: 1. Free Action 2, 2. Major Decision 3, 3. Minor Decision 1, etc.

This way we can vote on the general plan, then I can separate the order of events in said plan.

Don't put V1, V2, or any other such revision information into your plan. Just leave it like I have it. Nothing extra. The tally system will update to your newest post. No need to make version markers. It just makes things harder for me.

If an action in a plan is not one for a specific character, more a general idea of what needs to be done, it will still need to go into the priority matrix.

At the end of all your votes, put your reasons explaining your vote choice. As I've said before, a plan with reasons will get more weight than one without. Because reasons matter. I care about reasons more than numbers. I need reasons to help build the characters. Get used to putting reasons into your plans, as eventually reasons will become a requirement rather than a suggestion. This post will change when that occurs.

[] [Plan] X

You may (but are not required to) put additional reasons to agree with that plan beneath your vote if there are reasons for it that the original vote creator didn't put in that you thought of. The more/better the reasoning inside explaining a vote, the greater the chance it will be added into the story.

Votes are typically closed after either 12 or 24 hours unless real life interferes. Ties will be either decided by me, or by whoever is in the forum or the Discord that has not voted already at the time. I will @ whoever is currently in the forum or Discord that I choose to be the tiebreaker.

Plans have specific timelines. Immediate Actions are obviously immediate. Current Month is similarly self-explanatory. Short Term is something that can conceivably be done within 1-3 months, and Long Term is 3-6 months.

Eh. I'm sure most people will be convinced once they find out that we have THREE MOTHERFUCKING DRAGONS. Also whatever artefacts Dany and Viserys were supposed to get from their character creation. Speaking of:
Edit: You guys got lucky. I rolled for all three of you having a possible relic from Westeros, taken with you when you fled. Aegon got the 28, Dany the 91 and Viserys the 52. I'll be getting Dany and Viserys something fitting.
Have you decided yet what these are QM? Also, this Informational Post needs some curating. Things are way out-of-date.

Study the book we stole from Illyrio.
Talk with Dany, try to draw her out of her shell.
Exercise. You are now Daenerys' sole protector, and you are not strong enough for the task. You need to be stronger and faster.
Aegon - Improve Strength
Viserys - Improve Wisdom
297 AC, Fourth Month, 15th Day
Weighty Decisions Determine Future Days

Yesterday was quiet. Dany eventually was able to stop crying, and we talked about many things. Viserys and how he always took more upon himself rather than burden us, our life on the run, and how one day we would repay those that caused us to be in this situation to begin with. As sorrow gave way to anger and promises of retribution I saw the dragon within Daenerys begin to stir. This life may be tempering her into something to be feared. I suspect that palace life would have left her a happy carefree princess that would bring nothing but laughter and joy. This life though... where others would falter (as I suspected she was for a time) Daenerys seems to be getting stronger. Whether you encourage that righteous rage to drive her to become stronger or whether you try to remind her that the world isn't always terrible and maintain some of that playful happy girl is something you'll have to consider.

Choose One
[] How do you guide Daenerys?
- [] Fire and Blood, our enemies will be repaid at least twice over for what they have done. House Targaryen will carve its Words into the annals of history once more.
- [] Fire and Blood will be brought to our enemies, but we must take care not to lose who we are in doing so. While her anger was better than her depression, it would be sad to never see Dany smile as she once did.

The conversation you have with Dany goes well. You feel relatively certain that she has taken your words to heart and is going to try her best not to let you down. Family has to stick together after all, especially in situations like this. You give her a hug, and she promises to try and socialize more. You feel a little guilty though, because you suspect that she is doing this more because she doesn't want you to be disappointed in her rather than because she understands that her depression was unhealthy. You worry that she might be a bit eager to please you in order to keep you around so that you don't leave like everyone else. Part of you hopes that you are merely overthinking things.

Having decided to move forward, the two of you go out at eat in the mess with the crew of the ship. Daenerys quickly ingratiates herself with the ship's chef, hoping to add more recipes to her repertoire. The chef takes a shine to her instantly. It turns out that his wife is from Lys, looks something like Dany. His wife is barren though, and so he'll never have children to pass his skills onto. He's glad to share what he knows with such an eager pupil. When she looks over at you to see if you approve, you flash Dany an encouraging smile. 'Good. She needs this.'

For yourself you find that somehow over night your strength seems to have increased significantly. Everything seems to weigh half as much as it once did, and your lingering baby fat has somehow become ropy cords of muscle. Confused, but not one to spit in a dragon's maw, you offer thanks to the gods.

Choose One
[] To Whom Do You Pray?
- [] The Seven. Despite the treachery of your cousins, the Mercy of the Mother has kept you and Dany safe.
- [] The Old Gods. Your mother followed them, your twin brother follows them, so shall you.
- [] The ancient gods of Valyria. Your house has fallen on hard times, and it seems that the degradation started once Aegon the Conqueror converted to the worship of these Westerners. Dragons grew smaller until they no longer hatched, madness appeared in your bloodlines, sorcerous abilities and dreams of the future were lost, and now the last of the lines of the Dragonlords is nearly extinct. Perhaps honoring the Dragon Deities of your forefathers will see a return to prosperity. Fire and Blood are your Words for a reason.
- [] R'hllor. You don't know much about this Lord of Light, but his religion is strong in this part of the world. Perhaps the powers of the gods grow in areas where they are worshipped and weakens in areas they are not. You could benefit from honoring the local customs. Aegon the Conqueror did, and became Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, despite not having conquered them all.
- [] None. You will carry on despite the whims of any gods. They say that the godless are cursed to have a more difficult life than any other, but you will challenge all and overcome it. You can hardly be any worse off now can you?

You strike up a conversation with the crew and start asking them about their duties on the ship. Some of them are irritated, your questions slowing them down and distracting them, but a few are amenable to conversation. They have you climbing the rigging and tying off sails and you are surprised at the manual dexterity needed to tie off knots in the wind and rain. The winds often snatches the line from your hands and you have to grab it quickly or start from the beginning. After two weeks of working at this you find that you are more able to react to such things.

Well, so much for typing this up during my lunch hour. So many things just blew up today... But good news, there will be another post in a few hours since I get off work in 10 minutes. So get these votes in and I'll finish off the day afterwards. +2 to Dex for Aegon.

Yes I have decided what these are. They will be in the bag of loot you got from Illyrio. I've decided that they didn't carry them with them from Dragonstone, rather Varys and Illyrio gathered them. They were to be presented as part of the wedding gifts, but you guys already got them and just haven't sorted your loot yet. The post will be updated when you know IC what you have.

Let's try to keep Dany a healthy woman. In terms of religion we don't need one, we are THE DRAGON.

Edit: changed my vote it seems that having no good will hurt us much more than having a God. Plus from straying the path of valyria we fell, from returning to it we shall rise again.

That bit about no gods was a hint. The gods WILL curse you (harder rolls) if you choose none. However the rewards may be greater... (Sometimes.)

Valyrian gods will make Valyrian related things easier.

All have ups and downs.

If that's the case, shouldn't the Seven be technically the same as going godless in terms of roll modifiers? :ogles:
Hahahaha. Depends on what you do doesn't it? Who says they won't use Targs that obey their will? How else can you one up some other gods other than taking their chosen for your own? The dragonlords could be considered the chosen of the Valryian deities after all. Not all Valyrians had the aptitude...

That said, if you plan on marrying Daenerys, the Seven are the WORST gods you can choose and the Valyrian are the best you can choose for obvious reasons.

We shouldn't delve with neither the Old gods or the Seven, both of them will push for us to interfere in westeros which we may or may not want in time. I would prefer a more open path with freedom to choose anything we want to do. On other hand we could try to revitalize the valyrian gods.

We are human. Are we not already Gods?

To be clear, when you choose to worship one set of gods, the others cannot curse you. Your deity protects your from such. However you may LOSE any gifts the gods gave you already.

If you choose a specific set of deities, you get blessings in line with said deities.

If you choose NO deities, the gods get angry, and ALL of them hate you. Multiple curses from each. (Which explains the harder rolls incurred from this choice.) Plus one MAJOR curse (terrible event) per year that you have to roll a d100 to avoid or else defeat said event with your own skill.

Because you roll so well, I'm going to tell you straight up this one time. If you choose no gods, the major event they send at you is an attempt to make you lose Illyrio's treasure.

To be clear, Gods make things easier in the beginning of the campaign, but harder at the later parts of the campaign than no gods.

Gods always want to be repaid for their favors after all, and will have difficult tasks for you to complete at that time. You are making a choice of "easy now, hard later" or "hard now, easy later". I try to keep choices balanced that way, because I don't want you to feel forced into a particular path.

Also, religion can change over time as well, so you might pick a deity now but change it later. Changing deities comes with consequences of its own though, as a deity that you quit has the opportunity to send a difficult event at you as punishment for leaving its service.

Hmm, seeing as R'hllor have the most evidence to exist, I say we pray to him some... he's crazy powerful.

We're gonna have to fight the White Walkers eventually, which I'm guessing is the payment he will desire for helping us. Without dragons, they'll roll over Westeros and then the whole world, coming for us even if we only build an empire in Essos. Also, I was thinking of starting our conquest in Volantis and setting up our capital there, and this would help with that.
Volantis was the first city in the Ancient Valyrian Freehold. It is relatively in the centre of Essos, while being far enough away that we will have little trouble from Westerosi fleets. If we started in the western coast, we'll have to face them too early, without the time to establish a good powerbase. Plus Volantenes, or at least a faction of them, have always wanted to reconquer the Valyrian freehold, so we'd have supporters there. We could perhaps gain the favour of Braavos and it's Iron Bank by abolishing slavery in our empire, but that would lead to strife in the Free Cities and Slaver's Bay and Volantis is one of, if not the, premiere stakeholder in the slave trade.

We seem to have a lot of Valyrian traits. It would be a shame to loose them. That's the reason for my vote. I am not stoked about playing a missionary for gods, but I guess we could make an exemption for Valyrian religion because it's almost extinct.

Also I think bringing back an almost dead religion will net us greater rewards than any other religion.
