#StickiedForAReason
Votes that do not follow the template will not be counted!

At this time I am using a counter system, listing the number of days votes take to be put into action. However for write-in votes you don't know how many days an action may take. For this we will use the old system of Major/Minor Decisions, and I will tell you how many days/weeks/months the plan will take. Remember that every month has 28 days, and that there are 13 months in the year with New Years as a special day alone outside the months. There is no leap year, as their calendar is not accurate to that degree.

Major decisions are any new endeavors. Finding new investments. Finding new allies (specify what type, where you're looking if possible, what you want from them, etc) finding new trainers, starting new training even if it is with people you already know... Anything new.

No mixing something that would qualify as a minor decision or free action into your major votes! If you have a question about your votes, ask me.

Talking with specific people about specific subjects. You can generally only talk with one person at a time with this. There are simple logical exceptions, Husband & Wife combos can be put together as one conversation, brother & sister, stuff like that. I'll clarify if a combo is unacceptable when I see the vote. This is also for continuing any long term action. Any major decision that you have already voted to start (not just mused about in-story) can be a minor action the next time around. Continuing training that you have already begun for example. Continuing a long-term investigation or plot. Stuff like this.

Making small talk with characters. You will not learn anything special really, but it gives you more insight into their backgrounds and history, can raise/lower their loyalty or other relationship points with you, etc. Raising/lowering and how much depends on rolls.

These can interrupt any current action(s) and will take precedence over the current plan. A way to change things on the fly as you discover new information or alternate ways to potentially enhance your plan, or change it completely if needed.

Remember for all votes if you take a guard or other individual with you, you will need to write-in which guard/person you take with you (just saying take a guard or ally will leave the decision of which one up to me) and also whether Daenerys tries to use any future knowledge on the decision as well if it is one of hers or she is present. (She still may decide to try and use her future knowledge without your consent if she thinks it necessary.) These details are sub-votes.

[] [Plan] X (Current Month, Short Term, Long Term, Immediate Actions, Purchases, etc.)
-[] Major Decisions: Character name here
--[] Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
--[] Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
-[] Minor Decisions: Character name here
--[] Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
--[] Minor Decision 2
-[] Free Actions: Character name here
--[] Free Action 1
---[] Sub-conditions
--[] Free Action 2
---[] Sub-conditions

You get the jist of this.

However, under the plan vote, you will then put a "Priority" Vote.

[] Aegon Priority: 1. Major Decision 1, 2. Free Action 2, 3. Minor Decision 1, 4. Major Decision 2, etc.
[] Daenerys Priority: 1. Free Action 2, 2. Major Decision 3, 3. Minor Decision 1, etc.

This way we can vote on the general plan, then I can separate the order of events in said plan.

Don't put V1, V2, or any other such revision information into your plan. Just leave it like I have it. Nothing extra. The tally system will update to your newest post. No need to make version markers. It just makes things harder for me.

If an action in a plan is not one for a specific character, more a general idea of what needs to be done, it will still need to go into the priority matrix.

At the end of all your votes, put your reasons explaining your vote choice. As I've said before, a plan with reasons will get more weight than one without. Because reasons matter. I care about reasons more than numbers. I need reasons to help build the characters. Get used to putting reasons into your plans, as eventually reasons will become a requirement rather than a suggestion. This post will change when that occurs.

[] [Plan] X

You may (but are not required to) put additional reasons to agree with that plan beneath your vote if there are reasons for it that the original vote creator didn't put in that you thought of. The more/better the reasoning inside explaining a vote, the greater the chance it will be added into the story.

Votes are typically closed after either 12 or 24 hours unless real life interferes. Ties will be either decided by me, or by whoever is in the forum or the Discord that has not voted already at the time. I will @ whoever is currently in the forum or Discord that I choose to be the tiebreaker.

Plans have specific timelines. Immediate Actions are obviously immediate. Current Month is similarly self-explanatory. Short Term is something that can conceivably be done within 1-3 months, and Long Term is 3-6 months.

Correct, and they didn't divorce properly.

Rhaegar didn't need to divorce. He could follow old Valyrian tradition where one can have multiple wives much as Aegon the Conqueror did. Much like he planned for his son, remember the entire reason he went after Lyanna was to give Aegon a second wife in her child (he hoped for a daughter). Aegon was to marry Rhaella and then the planned daughter from Lyanna.

Basically, even though the Targaryens generally followed the ways of the Seven, they made exceptions for Valyrian tradition. Marrying close kin for one. Taking multiple wives would just be another. This was tolerated because they were the rulers, and the church doesn't have the Faith Militant to use for force... They have no choice but to let the Targs do as they will without the people to back them up.

Heads up guys - This next segment is to bring home a point. The point being that just because you guys plan for something or even vote for something... It may not come to pass. Other characters have their own motivations, and they take steps to enact their will. A roll from way back in the very first segment is about to reveal itself.

297 AC, Fourth Month, 14th Day
Loss

The small "window" in your room is open. You feel the sun shining on you, warming you from the outside in as you lay in your bed. The sea breeze smells of fish and salt, but is refreshing, and you hear a few gulls calling. However none of this is what wakes you from your slumber. Rather, a far more disastrous sound is what breaks this peaceful morning. The sound of Daenerys' tears.

For a moment you are confused, then your eyes open and you start to sit up to find out what is wrong. Dany is already climbing into your bed and collapses into you for a hug. While you have no problem showing affection to your aunt, you also are checking the door to ensure that it is still barred, that no one somehow got in and harmed her in the night. Seeing the door barred, the room undisturbed you are confused as to what is the cause of Dany's tears until she hands you a piece of paper.

"This was slid under the door," she says through her soft sobs. "I found it when I woke up. It must have been there all night." Looking down at the paper, you see what is unmistakably Viserys' flowing script.

Aegon Targaryen, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm,

I am deeply sorry nephew, but I am afraid that I am forced to resign as your Kingsguard. I can feel the madness now, can tell when it is coming upon me. Several times today I nearly lost myself to it, and I cannot be your protector if I cannot trust myself. I instructed the captain to set sail without me, and will remain here in Pentos. I shall do my utmost to give Illyrio a merry chase. When he hears word that I have been sighted in various districts throughout the city he will undoubtedly assume that the two of you are still here with me.

I should be able to avoid him for quite awhile on my own. Even should he manage to capture me, he will assume the two of you are here and be hunting for you. Thankfully I had the sense to have you do the talking with the captain, so I do not even know to which port you are bound. Even if Illyrio resorts to torture, I shall not be capable of revealing your location. By the time he figures out where you are, you will have had the time to get yourselves settled in and hopefully are well protected.

I know we spoke about me coming with you, and I am sorry that I misled you. I could tell that you weren't going to accept no for an answer, and I couldn't in good conscience travel with you and be a danger to my own blood. Please, for my honor and for our family, do not come looking for me. I will either master this issue on my own, or I am lost to you. If I do manage to overcome this, unlikely though it is, I will find you. I will reach out to House Martell, Celtigar, or Velaryon. Some of them bow to the pretender, but most of them would still be loyal to our House.

I know it will be difficult on your own, but you must look after yourself for now. You have enough gold and silver to find a home, hire quality guards, and start any sort of venture that you might begin amassing enough wealth to become a real power in the free cities. Keep safe, look after Dany, and whatever else, never forget that you are the head of House Targaryen, last of the Dragonlords. We are of the blood of Valyria, and we shall not disappear amongst the sands of time.

Be safe, and be certain to get yourselves some armor and weaponry. Much as I would like my little Daenerys to never need to fight, with only the two of you we can no longer risk her needing to take action and not knowing how. Besides, if the way she took down that thief is any indication, she may have some natural aptitude for it. We are no strangers to women warriors in our bloodline. Be safe, and tell Dany that I am sorry and that I love her.

With no regrets, your uncle,
Lord of Dragonstone,
Viserys Targaryen

The reason for Daenerys' tearful sobbing is abundantly clear. After losing her family to war, she has lost her brother to madness. Viserys writes of "overcoming" the problem, but we both know that while Targaryens have gone from being sane to being mad over time, none has ever done the reverse. In all reality, Viserys has put himself on a suicide mission in an effort to buy us time to escape the area of Illyrio's influence, and now the two of us are all that is left of House Targaryen.

I hold Dany close, squeezing her tightly as she whispers "Please don't leave me," over and over again. "Never," I swear to both her and myself. Never will I leave her behind.

I thought I'd convinced him to stay, but apparently I'd only convinced myself that I could ever talk Viserys out of doing something he truly thought needed doing. I had plans for this day, but this changes everything. Today I will stay here, with Daenerys, leaving only long enough to use the privy, or to get our food from the mess. Today is a day to be with family and naught else.

Your trip will take 1-2 weeks based on the wind. What do you do for the duration?

Choose up to three
[] Stay in the room with Daenerys. She needs me now more than ever, and leaving to do other things would be inappropriate.
[] Talk with Dany, try to draw her out of her shell.
[] Study the book we stole from Illyrio.
[] Observe the sailors as they do their duties and try to learn from them.
[] Spend time with Dany assuaging any concerns or nervousness she might have.
[] Talk to the captain of the ship after making sure that you have a strong alibi. Rehearse your story with Dany first.
[] Exercise. You are now Daenerys' sole protector, and you are not strong enough for the task. You need to be stronger and faster.
[] Write in.

So, to explain. Way back when you first confronted Viserys, you rolled an 18 to convince Viserys to come with you. He crit.

Hey all, the last of the choices didn't register somehow, so I'm adding more in. Refresh the page a few times. Once you see [] Write in as the last choice, I'm done fixing it.

Well... Shit...

Dammit Viserys! You were supposed to be our Hand! Not some forgotten footnote in history! If he ever does re-appear, We'll be sure to grant a feast in his name.

Or name one of our Dragons after him... (Obviously)

All those who cast a vote this segment. You have a chance to save Viserys from his fate.

Once your have posted your vote, go to the bottom right corner of it and click "More options". From there click "Throw dice."

Enter "Save Viserys" in the first block, and change the number of faces from 6 to 100.

Once you have thrown a die, you'll see a button saying throw another die. You get to throw 3 die in total.

If we get three or more die at 95 or higher, Viserys can win his struggle against insanity, and will have a chance to reunite with you at some future point. Let's see how many of you want to save your uncle.

Dice will only be counted if it is in a post that includes a vote. Good luck.

Please note, I will also be rolling my own die here at home. I will roll three d100. If even one of them comes up 95 or higher, Viserys will have a chance. However, if he gets his chance because of me instead of you, his chance will be significantly lower at surviving long enough to find and rejoin you.

Definite parallels with Jorah and his affliction.

Yeah, the SV roller will not be that generous. In fact in my experience it has a certain affinity for low numbers.

Think I might be stupid, not seeing a button for dice.

It's under more options on the right side of your post.
