[x] Red Bovine

Seems like a good plan for now, as long as a strict Batch File isn't required. If it is, I suggest:
Code:
Jaunt()>Crash()>Jaunt()>Spiral()
But using the same get in get out plan.
If you're not using Turn(), then you get to go a little wild with it. All you'd need to worry about is cooldown times, which just about everything but Jaunt() has. Just don't spam one attack and you should be fine.

As far as plans go, as long as you use Function names properly, I'll accept any plan that isn't, like, 300 words long. No micromanaging me.

Now I'm worried about failing this round of combat and getting into the bottom 6 if Xanadu's prepared enough for any sudden attacks against him.
Edit: Also Prok you kinda forgot to threadmark your update.
Edit:2 and updated my plan a bit.
Fixed, thank you.

Also you have 150 Aura. If you were to look up at the screen right now, for comparison, Creme has 90, and Lumen has 110.

Creme is not below average. This is a Jaune who, even by Hunter standards, unlocked his Aura stupid early, realised his Semblance right off the bat, and has been using both regularly pretty much every day since. You might not be invincible, but you're not going down because of one round of bad rolls.

Unless they're like. Super bad. Like six straight ones kinda thing. I think at that point I'm pretty much obligated to shove your shit in.

Anyway, as usual, voting will close tomorrow night at 8 pm GMT. In the meantime I'm going to see whether my theoretical timetable on quest updates will actually work.

EDIT: I accidentally half a sentence.

Definetly no turn. It would make us a target AND make us unable to fight back for a bit.

@Prok what would hapen if we trapped someone between two spirals?

... Ahh, I see the problem here.

Ok, Ok, QM Fiat time.

I realised at some point during the writing of this update that the whole, "can't use Functions after Turn()" thing?

For a Hunter, building his own weapon? That's a suicidally stupid limitation, and I'm not exactly playing by the game's rules anyway. Hunters and Grimm are vastly more mobile than the Process ever could be, and leaving you with that kind of limitation would be crippling, even for someone who's meant to be slow and hard-hitting.

So... a different limitation, perhaps. To even the playing field.

AHEM. QM FIAT FIAT TIME. THE QM FIAT IS UNFIATED DUE TO MY REALISATION THAT 300 POUNDS OF SWORD AND TELEKINESIS MAKE FOR A DAMN GOOD BLUDGEON.

MOVE ALONG CITIZEN.

@Prok what would hapen if we trapped someone between two spirals?

Stomp on a tomato.

That.

More seriously though, it would be like lying flat in a centrifuge- extreme spinning, extreme g-forces- if it doesn't break their Aura, they're probably unconscious the sheer force of it. And if they were to collide, even just by accident, then... well, most likely whichever one was made last would consume the other due to having more energy, and then sputter out a bit later.

He would still be a hunter trainee, even without his semblance. Keep in mind that unlike the original wielder he isnt a civilian singer. Nothing is stopping him from just bashing things in between Turns() or jumping around like the superhuman he is.
If I was Jaune I would specialize in movement and defensive arts. Combines well with his semblance.
Turn() is OP enough as is.

Ah, so we have an instant takeout move for when we use Turn(). Neat.

Two questions, First how does Jaune compare against other fellow students with Semblance and Transistor taken into account? Second how much potential does he have thanks to his semblance and potential upgrades for Transistor?

The Transistor is also a 300-pound hunk of silicon and circuitry, and the solidity of Cloudbank's ground is something I would put up for debate, considering how... malleable it was. I'm... not sure it's very usable as a weapon in its own right. Last I checked, supercomputers, while large, do not make great weapons if you want them to keep functioning as such.

Then again most weapons in RWBY would barely work, what with all the moving parts and the strain they get put under... eh, I ain't about double standards. You can use the Transistor as a bludgeon if you must, but it won't be terribly effective due to your lack of swordsmanship, and it'll complain the entire time.

You do have to remember that Jaune, while he does have a powerful Aura, and decent cardio due to lugging around a 300-pound supercomputer on his back all the time... really hasn't trained like the average Hunter. He can't do all that flippy zippy madness that people like Ruby and Blake get up to. While Turn() and Jaunt() do pick up some of the slack, he's still mostly... artillery.

Ah, so we have an instant takeout move for when we use Turn(). Neat.
I like your optimism.

Well, considering you warp reality through the power of code, Semblance wise, you're so ridiculously powerful it would honestly have some people in conniptions.

Application wise?

Mid-high-tier. Your reliance on your Semblance and the Transistor as a focus for it has left you with a reputation for someone who can hit hard, but only in specific ways. Nobody knows the exact specifics of your Semblance bar your parents and Elaine, so you've been somewhat typecast as something of a one-trick pony. Which, one could argue, Semblances are, except that people learn to use those in a variety of ways, while your one-trick ponyness is the result of your Semblance.

As for your potential, as you upgrade the Transistor and unlock new functions and download more RAM and learn to use it as an actual weapon instead of a glorified wand, you'll become more versatile and more useful in a fight without it. You're powerful enough, courtesy of Turn(), but you definitely have room to improve.

Then I thought about one thing. Just one thing. One, tiny little detail that slipped my mind when I was making the list in the first place. The more I think about that one thing, the more I write this quest and the notes I need for it, the more I realise that I placed Transistor way too high on the list.

... Too low.

Damn inverse correlations to hell and back.

Seriously though, the more I think about it, the more I realise that, if I open up certain avenues of research and progress to you... you could easily end up with the world's greatest deadman switch, and reach godhood getting there.

You guys do realize that I was the one that came up with this plan and bovine thought it was good right?

First off do you mean that you put it too low and now realize that it probably should have actually been higher? The high and then too low thing is confusing me there. Second, holy crap we can potentially reach godhood?

getting godhood with the power of coding nerds everywhere are so jealous :D but seriously in a world of monsters that constantly form from negativity we need godhood for the good end.

The list uses an inverse correlation. The lower down the list, the more powerful you would be overall. Hence why Shigeo 'fuck everything I'm basically a physical god with the emotional skin of a ball of mozzarella' Kageyama is at the bottom of the list. If I'd realised the thing I've realised now, I would have put Transistor lower down the list because it would have been more powerful.

Is it confusing? Yes. Does it make it impossible to talk about? Yes. Do I regret it? Not one bit, confusing myself is one of my few ways of deriving entertainment from my own idiocy.

As for the how to of godhood... someone will figure it out.
The Transistor is known as The Brush. Where is the paint? What is the canvas? Who is the artist?

By the end of Transistor, it is revealed that the transistor basically give its wielder root access to the world. I can't remember the exact lines used, but it was something about the world being your canvas and the transistor, the brush. We don't get too many feats, but Red uses it to instantly create a bridge and to change the weather. It's improper use is what is ultimately responsible for the process ending the world.

That said, I'm not sure how much of that is eventually possible here, but if we had access to everything it was capable of by the end of the game, we would basically be a god, capable of changing the world to suit our whims.

Hey, @Prok, I have a couple of questions. Can we generate/summon the Process, as the Transistor is implied to do? And can we control the Transistor telekinetically, like Grant apparently could and Red could toward the end?
