The troll quest answer would be the Narrator like from the Stanly Parable, but another potential one would be the god that is the voice of the people at the end of Persona 5. A complete shot in the dark, since I havnt played the games at all, Ar Tonelico.
The only thing I can think of is Persona or one of the other SMT games.
...

Ah. See, what's happened here is, once again, I've messed up horribly. It turns out my dead languages are even rustier than I thought, only compounded by a minor misremembering of the proper name of the power in question.

Verbum Dei. I think. Either way, that's my final answer.

And, in case that is also wrong, an extra hint- Genesis.

Preacher?

I asked a friend, he jumped to it immediately after hearing Genesis.

So anyone have any more guesses for the last two options? The vote will close in a few hours afterall and the QM did say we would get something nice if we guessed all the options.

[X] Spiral. Every Moment, Every Second, We Move Forward. Like A Drill.

I have no idea what any of these mean but this option seems cool.

[X] Start() "... Hey. Look, whatever you're thinking, do me a favour; don't let go."

I'm torn between Zelda and Transistor, but in the end I'm gonna have to go with Transistor. I've been loving Breath of the Wild, but honestly Link is a character so dependent on his setting that Transistor wins out for me. (If you want me to elaborate on that, you're going to have to wait until I have at least eight hours of sleep in me.)

...Also, I have a soft-spot for code-babble, especially in video games. It's just way too much fun to try and figure out how the syntax is supposed to work. :D

Ding! The answer is Preacher! Give that friend a hug!

Over the years, after discovering your limitation on needing to have the person understand you and the words you're saying, you took the time to learn as many as you can. Then at some point whatever being has grafted itself to your soul took the hint and just made you an omniglot. So. Yeah. Every language, living or dead, you know all of them. That's... kinda cool. You guess.

Voting is now closed! With a frankly ridiculous fourteen out of 38 votes, making this, to the best of my knowledge, the most popular one of my quests has ever been, full stop, Start() wins!

Sadly, you did not get the full sweep, but ten out of eleven isn't bad!

Aberrant was an option that would have turned you into an Aberration from The Zombie Knight, leaving Jaune a pathologically sadistic, soul-eating monster, and boy do Grimm souls taste like tofu.

So now that you know what every option is...

Who wants one last chance at figuring out what the order of the choices is?

How much crossover elements will affect Jaunes personality??
... Son of a bitch, he got it in one.

Well, that's part of it. Essentially, the lower down the list you go, the more powerful you would be, but the more reasons Jaune will have to be a social pariah, whether self-inflicted or otherwise.

Think about it. Kageyama, from Mob Psycho 100, when he hits 100%, he becomes a force of nature. He hits 100, you lose, do not pass Go, do not collect 200 dollars. Therefore, the less Jaune cares about people, the less chance of his emotions getting the better of him, the less chance of him accidentally hurting his frie- acquaintances like he did his sister in the alley. A social pariah, for the good of others.

Pillar. "I eat people and Grimm for sustenance and use my body in weird and horrifying ways to kill things, such as using the tendons in my arms as whips, and I can do all this because I'm the most evolved being on the planet." Creepy, yes, useful, yes, overall able to look past it because he's (read: you're) a nice guy? Yes.

Aberration.

YOU EAT SOULS. IN A WORLD WHERE SOULS HAVE BEEN SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN TO EXIST AND BE REALLY IMPORTANT TO THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF A HUMAN BEING.

I CANNOT BEGIN TO DESCRIBE HOW HORRIFYING THAT WOULD SEEM TO PEOPLE.

MEANWHILE- ahem, meanwhile, on the other end of the scale, we have "I know how to do everything," powers easily explained off as a Semblance if he wears gloves, and "Oh hey yeah I have a cool talking sword."

The lower down the list you go, the more objectively powerful you are, but the more inherently dangerous you are to the people around you, and the more Jaune's personality changes to either make him less willing to make friends, or creepy or severe or otherwise just dissonant enough that people would rather not make friends with him in the first place.

I tend to watch things mostly on recommendation, so I was never going to get that on my own. My friend, on the other hand, has somehow seen everything you can think of if it involves religious, mythological, or supernatural themes.

Aberrant was an option that would have turned you into an Aberration from The Zombie Knight, leaving Jaune a pathologically sadistic, soul-eating monster, and boy do Grimm souls taste like tofu.

I read a bit of that, couldn't get into it. I never would have guessed it. Interesting power to have in RWBY.

Hate to complain but it seems kind of unfair that of unfair that we don't get the extra something because we didn't guess everything considering that you gave us 11 different options. That is an insane amount and the choices were based on many different franchises with varying genres. An option even had to be given a lot more clues due to the QM messing up the meaning, multiple times. That just seems a bit much not to mention you said you'd give us till 12 PM until you close the vote.

The fact that people guesses 10 out of 11 options is actually impressive considering that I didn't think people would even make it that far.

The fact that there is an extra something at all seems strange to me. I mean, the reward is knowing what you're voting for, basically.

This quest got me to start picking playing Transistor again to try and complete it and to familiarize myself with the power that Jaune's gonna have. I've also been wondering about how the turn() would work from a first person p.o.v or any type of p.o.v and how others would react to seeing all the stuff happen.

From what I've played about it is that it's a sci-fi action rpg set in a city. You play as a basically mute girl named Red and she has a sword called Transistor which can talk. While in combat you can basically switch between real time or pause it with turn() to queue up moves. Also be warned that you have a time slot of like a few seconds and any moves that you make can take (like moving or using a function) that can take slots in the time bar and sometimes the enemies can move out of the way but I've only had that happen a couple of times. Here's a link to a gameplay video without commentary to help you out slightly more than I can

Looking it up Abberant and Abberation are the same thing. It's just that Abberation is the noun. Again that was just unfair considering that people were expecting the puzzle to be connected to a franchise like a video game, comic book or even anime not that the answer was a freaking noun of the same word.
