Your name is Jaune Arc, and when you built your sword, it asked you to do one thing.

{Don't let go.}

A RWBY/Transistor (read: RWBY/really just the entirety of Supergiant's catalogue in some way, shape, or form at this point) quest. I don't, really know what else to put here, I just read the Thread Header update post, saw the word 'mandatory,' and panic-made this.

Usually updates on a Sunday. Not, every Sunday, just, on a Sunday.

Your name is Jaune Arc. You're 16 years old, going on 17, and you're about to face your final test of Signal Academy.

By which I mean, you're in the waiting room just before your final test of Signal Academy. You and your entire class have been in this room, waiting for about… 3 hours now?

You've no idea, your Scroll gave up the ghost a while ago. Shame, really, you were doing so well at Glyphstory. You're fairly sure half your opponents were people in here, and some of your wins were just downright embarrassing for them. Then again, winning most of the pre-game rock-paper-scissors matches got you first choice of faction, and you always were better at playing the Grimm units. And even when you lost, bias usually gave you them anyway.

Not much love for Grimm players.

You suppose, as a Hunter in training, you should understand why that is, but still… you sigh quietly to yourself as, without really intending to, you cast your thoughts back to the first time your… Semblance, you suppose, manifested itself.

Ah, allow me to paint a picture of the root of your worry;

It was a clear evening, about, what, seven years ago? Yeah, around that, you think. good enough for the purposes of your recounting, anyway. The sun was low in the sky, slowly going from eye-searing white to orange to red, the sky turning purple above you, the moon and its remnants just barely visible elsewhere as day turned to dusk, then to darkness.

It was a cold sun, the temperature low enough to just see your breath if you weren't parched, but you and Jasmine were quite happy to be outside regardless. You were walking home from the park, chatting away to your sister about nothing and everything in particular, and then you both simultaneously, but independently, realised you had wandered down an alley you didn't know. Even for Arc children, that was a nono. It didn't take long for a couple of the less reputable elements- two guys and a girl, around high school age but obviously not too interested in their education, to come up and talk about tolls. Specifically, the toll for using this street.

100 Lien each.

Translation- 'we saw you two, the 10-year-old boy and the 8-year-old girl, and decided you would be great for mugging practice.'

Yeah. They were those kinds of asshole.

When your sister, catching on to their game faster than you, mentioned that you didn't have any Lien- which you didn't, you'd used it at a vending machine for drinks and snacks- they didn't seem to care about that too much. No, instead they just called you both shitfaced little liars and started screaming something about respect while pushing and shoving your sister about, instead of you.

You tried to help her, grab her and run, fight them off, do something, but the girl's boot came for your face-

The world shatters. A thousand paths explode forth from this exact moment.

Yggdrasil has flowered. Pick your bloom.

[x] Spiral. Every Moment, Every Second, We Move Forward. Like A Drill.

This thematically goes well with RWBY.

Move Onward, Not There Yet

Isn't it rather warm in that outfit, Jaune? (Pretty sure this is Legend of Zelda)

I NEEEED THIS!

Also I think the 100% one may be from Mob Psycho 100. And Marked may be dishonored?

[x] Start() "... Hey. Look, whatever you're thinking, do me a favour; don't let go."

Am I allowed to vote? I hope so, I rarely see Transistor references here.

[X] Pillar. You Have No Masters To Awaken.

Don't know why people are voting for the Zelda option. That option seems like the most boring one compared to everything else.

Well I only recognize like two...
Zelda or uhh whats his face Simon

Well one option seems like it would give us the physical abilities of a highly evolved being(Pillar), another would likely give us a martial art that is extremely powerful and deadly(North Star), another seems like it would give us psychic powers(100 percent) and finally one would give us the ability to make the impossible possible(Spiral).

Meanwhile Rebirth seems like it would be based on Zelda and give us the tri force of courage which... Is honestly pretty damn underwhelming. I mean from every game Link seems like a normal guy despite having the tri force of courage. It's so underwhelming that I am amazed that it is even an option since it seems like it would just be the normal route.

Well it depends on how you interpret the Triforce of courage,
The game Theory version... is the MOST op shit ever, since it means you win no matter what eventually.
Then theres the normal fuck fear thing it would probably give, and the great destiny it Guarantees

First doubt that it would be something that lets us win no matter what. Second the no fear thing seems pretty worthless since I don't remember a time where fear effected our PC. Third pretty sure as the main PC of the quest we are already guaranteed a great destiny.
So sticking with my feeling of it being extremely underwhelming compared to most of the other things offered.

Well Game theory seems to think the Triforce of Courage is what allows the player to reload from death, so logically it'd allow one to eventually win no matter what as long as its winnable
Well I say reload, but it some weird multi dimensional bs revival thing

Edit: Tho some speculate it basically makes link super duper Shounen

Those are just theories, we don't really see anything most games and most games Link comes across as a normal guy.
