Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

[X]Plan backup
-[X] Offer to help, even if you don't know all the details this sounds right up your alley
--[X][Stunt]"Sounds like the sort of thing I want to stop as well. I have come more than halfway around the world to get here. This will be my second imminent apocalypse in as many months. I do hope that they aren't becoming more common. Still I want to help and you want me to be safe so how about we compromise?"
--[X]You uncork a small valve pour a bit of bleach powder in then pour some of the newly melted water.
---[X]"I'll be safe in here, but still able to provide you back up if you need it. Carry and break glass in case of emergency. Can use a rest anyway. I just flew across half the world and boy are my arms tired."
----[X]Then RVD into valve of bleach water.

No we don't wait for his agreement, just leave him with a small vail that he can take or leave.

It's time to briefly describe that we're not new to the business of killing terrifying creatures and list how many we've killed. But it's very interesting that the Fomori are planning an operation to try and awaken Cthulhu. I thought it would be something else... Although honestly, considering what was in the original Mountains of Madness, it might be worse than Cthulhu.

And I think I'll add that this isn't the first time things like them have gone for Molly's head. Molly is already an enemy of the Fomori for destroying their lab. And she's certainly an enemy of the forces beyond the Gate.

I stole your plan, @fictionfan.

I want to disabuse this dude of the notion Molly is a kid out of her depth.

--[X] [Stunt]: With a quirked eyebrow and a bit of smirk, Molly half bows and manifests Usum, his blade pointed down and away from the new Abyssal. "Please allow me to RE-introduce myself. My friends call me Molly, and I do hope we can be friends, but my enemies, including the terrible creatures plucked from the nightmares of mortal and monster alike, don't call me anything. Because I killed them. Gods, demons, vampires, Lovecraftian horrors from beyond the boundaries of time and space, and more. You name it and I've probably already killed at least one of them because it was trying to end the world or make a snack out of a random bystander, so if you would like some assistance, I'm here to lend a sword."

I personally don't really feel like bragging. Or at least not too much maybe keep to side comments like "It can't be as bad as hell was".

I honestly don't think we should brag outright. It would be enough to just list Molly's victims. And maybe throw her some pretty good social dice to make them believe us. And if there's a really tough shit there... Well, he'll be forced to believe us when reality cracks around the Demon Empress Who Will Be

I would write an example, but I can't remember the names of all the people killed except Arianna Ortega.

We should call him by a title now. Something that he will accept. Any ideas for a good one?

I think it's better for him to choose it himself. Plus we have to explain to him first of all that he can have the title first of all.
I suggest that we just call him Canceler of the Apocalypse for now.
but my enemies, including the terrible creatures plucked from the nightmares of mortal and monster alike, don't call me anything
We still have loads of enemies who call us stuff. Nickelheads, the Lord of the wicked city and the Red Court.

You do not know enough for it to count as knowing the secret, needs more details, the idea that the Fomori have masters they are trying to wake up is not all that novel.
Fair, I was hoping knowing the purpose of the bases we just uncovered in particular would count. Learning that they have secret masters they want to wake is dime a dozen, but the existence and location of the secret basis where they brew coffee for them isn't.

Those are pre-enemies. 🧐

The distinction comes from the fact that they still exist.
Bah, playing around with changing definitions isn't impressive. Anyone can do that. We have had enemies successfully escape. Also well I doubt that a fresh new Exalted going on a do or die mission has a truth detection charm we are still trying to be straight forward here.

Yeah we really need to get a charm for going into the NN without needing to drop 4 essence on it, like when the Spider in Boston escaped because we straight up didn't have 4 motes to open a portal even if we were willing (he was later killed by Olivia though). Or again look into the chainsaw thing Daedalus used to find a free option.

So we know Azhi is the Daybreak and I thought Silver was Day. I based that on how the rolls implied her key abilities were laid out and how she used them here:

General social skills might help, but you need to show excellence in particular ways to qualify for particular castes.

She doesn't really fit Moonshadow:

The most achievable one is poet/artist, but she isn't one. Day caste only requires that she be outside the bounds of accepted society:

We know she has Subterfuge excellency and doesn't have one for Intimidation. So even setting aside the character requirement she can't be the Dusk or Daybreak castes that got loose. If she was somehow the Moonshadow then she'd have gone through that scene without using her primary social excellencies.

Edit:

[X] Yog

I don't think we ever got that confirmed one way other the other though. With the details we have on this guy I'm starting to think that I was wrong.

I misremembered the caste set, which consists of Midnight, Moonshadow, Day, and Daybreak. We know Silver has a Subterfuge excellency/key ability set so she can still only be Moonshadow or Day despite that.

Day castes are literally spies and infiltrators, it's their core identity. This guy is essentially the ideal candidate for that sort of thing. Exalting as a Moonshadow wouldn't fit him at all, so unless he's a cultist of some kind himself that's the best fit for him.

Which means Silver might have actually raw dogged her first meeting with an exalt three essence levels higher than her. As a social caste.

I can respect the self confidence, but damn.

[X] Plan respect
-[X] Offer to help, even if you don't know all the details this sounds right up your alley
--[X] STUNT: "Thank you. For trying to protect me, without even knowing who I am, thank you. I respect the sacrifice you made in defense of Creation, the price you paid." you say, words heavy and measured: "And I am sorry that neither I, nor any other was here to help you then. But I am here now, and so, please, let me help"
---[X] "So, let's go - we have lots of work to do. You can tell me what you know of what awaits us as we go, if you please - maybe I'll be able to provide come context. I know a lot about supernatural and things sleeping in the dark corners of Creation"
----[X] "And if we are in a hurry, and we are, tell me where to go - it'll be faster for me to fly us"

My opinion:
1) Don't brag - it is hard to believe, and it cheapens his sacrifice. For him, this is it. He has just made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the whole of Creation. Acknowledge it, respect it.
2) He seems fairly clueless in regards to the supernatural. So, yes, we can mention fallen angels, and fae queens, and vampiric dragons trying to blow up half of North America, revolutions in hell, etc - but for a lot of it he won't have context.
3) He was exalted by the exaltation offering him knowledge of the sleeping things. Hook him up on that by offering him knowledge
4) Offer direct assistance outside of danger - like flying him to his destination. He already took the blanket and a mug of hot water.

Not fully satisfied with the vote, but it's better than telling him about things he either won't believe, or doesn't have context for.
