It Belongs to a Museum

Malekith believes that the gender of the Firstborn sorcerer is extremely important to the prophecy.

Malekith is also incredibly fallible, and his attempt to deny the prophecy by killing male sorcerers is exactly the sort of irony that is going to get him killed.

[X] Death

For one so plagued by a divinely ordained Doom Death makes the most sense to draw upon the shyish potential of an encroaching end, and to build towards the divine defiance represented by necromancy.

Outside of the purely magical side Death also is the closest to taking on an apprentice with us teaching the Liche Priest techniques of funeral practices and preservation. With that knowledge serving as a good basis for both an elf necromancer and a proper museum assistant that we could steadily assign tasks that currently only Paht can handle like skeletal reconstructions and monument designs.

[X] Life
[X] Mental
Prophecy is delivered from the perspective of the Seer not the subject. Whoever gave it to him could well have misread their appearance, what with all the terrible beasts and dark magic involved, that would probably be the focus.
Nah, prophecy is too fickle for that. Not when sometimes the one making a prophecy gets their interpretation wrong, too. The one who slays the Dark King could well be a man who wears an armored dress, among other possibilities. As long as a prophecy reads true in retrospect, it was true.

The thing is the seer was probably Morathi, she has that kind of skill having seen the Coming of Chaos before it happened, and the key word there is 'seen', she experiences her foresight directly rather than prophecize in a trance.

Having misread a vote for Death and Mental as a vote for Death Metal, I am now imagining the newest hire wears lots of black and uses musical instruments to make sounds which would make a 40K Noise Marine proud.

It's specifically stated that the prophecy came to Caledor (Dragontamer, presumably, rather than the kingdom) at the moment Aenarion drew Widowmaker.

So not Morathi.

If we go mental maybe we can teach him music and then speed run music development until he becomes a proper star menace to the world.
