Investing a lot of its power in whatever makes it reusable means it would probably be rather weak comparatively, but we don't need a particularly strong monster for a lot of those purposes.

Then we could use it to shake the nests, do distraction attacks, or just provide replenishable cannon fodder alongside more important things.

I like the idea of a reusable expendable beatstick. Replenishable cannon fodder is great to have, especially when we're so few.

We made a monster for spying, so why not let it go do some spying? And if it gets caught as monsters often do then that should be a suitable distraction while we go around digging for more secrets.

Yeah, investigating things like the lab Sasori came from would be a good idea. Though, I was hoping Zaiyu could talk to Kyoko since he already talked to Kaoru.

Eh, I want more social interactions, but investigations like this are going to take priority.

I think our character is a spam in the works for the whole series. Well, if our character went from being a girl (While Knowing Mithos) to a guy it should be likely that Mithos is a girl now.

I find it funny that the majority of the captains Zaiyu caused headaches so far are actually from him doing his actual job and not any sort of deliberate trolling.

.... And that he probably Zaiyu himself has probably been doing much less trollin than average trolling because the poor guy is also dealing with this insanity.

Legit this is probably the last thing he was ever expecting from first impressions.

Mythos occupies a deity like position of importance to the Estil, but his actual person and history has been warped by time. Zaiyu had a memory of being some sort of secret friend/dense romantic interest to mythos. The Titan wants to bring Someone back, and mythos special person can't be brought back because Zaiyu is alive and has suffered damage to his soul over the long exile.

Mythos probably did something crazy to become a godlike entity to save his people and then fell into a magical comma. Now he's awake and trying to get his special person back.

Correct. Shayin is genuinely shocked that Zaiyu is doing his job reliably and mostly without complaint. He is also incredibly upset about what Zaiyu keeps finding. Better to know and suffer than to live in ignorance, but... what the hell is wrong with planet Earth?

Shayin : I'm used to dealing with eccentric and unreliable cretins I'm constantly forced to remind myself aren't expendable enough to utterly pulverize with a blast of Telekinesis. I have zero experience in how to deal with superbly competent help who can't go one day without discovering some mission and Estil future compromising existence in the course of actually doing his job. Computer, bring up all historical records of the actions of past captains which match the phrase "Showing Appreciation".

We need a Shayinquest Negaverse omake.
I want to see their increasing IRL headache as Zaiyu does his job far too perfectly, unearthing yet another 57 things for them to deal with.
