Again, this is an entire arc. If we knee jerk spend all our will on two actions we'll definitely regret it later. We don't need to go all in on the first vote. Try to keep the big picture in mind. It's going to be an unproductive rest of the Arc otherwise.

I've been reading this, and much as I am a fan of Chengar's writing, this quest so far I feel shows clearly the result of trying to make sure Jinx remains the hot mess that is recognizable from the original IP and the settings remain in such a way as to keep its dramatic conflicts, but perhaps making a mistake in starting so early on, since the readers have foreknowledge of the series and a vested interested in helping the protagonist be healthier.

The result to me feels a bit too contrived in forcing things to stay shitty and Powder/Jinx to stay unwell/get worse.

I'm pretty sure that getting Jinx's workshop up and running and getting a message to Ekko will allow us to get back some willpower on subsequent actions.

Chengar did say right at the start of the quest that some things will be beyond Powder's ability to control at least initially. And we have changed things for the better for Powder at least to an extent and it's a universal guarantee that Jinx's teenage years will be better than canon due to her growing up in a much safer and healthier environment than canon. How better will likely depend on us as I don't see the quest being as contrived as you say it is.

You've gotta spend spoons to make spoons. And any of these have a shot at improving stability.

Really? I've thought it was all very well fitting. Jinx giving out her bombs, Vi's reaction to the news, the consequences. Vander's choice of action, as well.

Like yes, it didn't need to go that way. This could have been a much brighter story where a lot more goes right and a lot less goes wrong. But it would be so much worse for it.

Seraphine might be the one person that can actually help us now. Because she can realize Powder's issues without Powder talking. And maybe help a bit

This is more what's Jinx's priorities then who can help Jinx. We're probably going to meet all of them at one point or another. This likely means more for Jinx internally.

Yeah it would make more sense for Jinx to prioritize having something to keep her mind occupied and to make sure her last person tying her to Zaun is okay than seeing someone she barely knows even if there is some friendship forming there.
