Hmmm... ok so laying it out:

Interrogate a villager: tricky because like we saw with the kids, they're unwilling/unable to give us much help. It's been theorized that the kids tried to pass us a coded message, so theoretically picking this option could give us another. Weaver granny or the village headman seem like the best options to start with?

Leave Ni outside is a decent option, it lets us work together (possibly 2 in the village, one guarding Ni?). Still a question of what we actually investigate though.

Taking another role...eh, I think I like this least. I'm not sure how much we'd actually learn playing administrator. Maybe seeing if the Testing Treasure is behaving weirdly? How the kids being tested are acting?

If you want Daiyu to use Twilight Horizon then you probably want to append that as a subvote. Otherwise the only difference will be Daiyu using the Horizon, and you'll run through the rest of this loop the same as before.

How about this?

[x] The visions are clear in one regard: this village is dangerous, even if how it is is confusing. Kong Zhi will approach Clerk Ni and ask him to wait outside the village as we investigate it to better secure his safety.

I think we should try to play along for the moment. It is hard to ask questions without knowing what the rules for this place are or what to ask.

There are some minor differences to last time around.

The discussion between Daiyu and Zhi while Kun fights the crab is subtly different.
Quishu snaps at a bird instead of a rabbit, just before the cart is found.
Zhi finds the ambient anam to be more intense than expected, instead of abnormally normal.

If we assume all the villagers are aware they are trapped in the loop, then it's possible all of them have the capability to tell us, or hint at us, what is going on, but not necessarily the will (they might have given up any hope). So while I'm not opposed to asking the weaver specifically what is going on... I think we should ask the ringleader of the children, who seemed to want to hint something to us.

I also think we should try to get out ASAP. The anam was noted to be a bit riled up, different from last loop. If we repeat this too many loops, we might end up like the merchant, who seemed to just disappear into thin air.

Another thing called out by the update is that we filtered out our own Anam as part of Stallion. Which means we're ignoring the traces of our past still here. Could be why the Anam is more roiled this time. We dropped a bunch of Anam here yesterday and maybe that sticks?

To find a groundhog we need to go to another groundhog.

The theory is that the Second seems sentient enough that it could move around and from the Elder's words, it's not limited to the Heart either. Heck even Siani is surprised coming across it by way of tracking down Kong Zhi. What that means, is that Zhi's connected to it somehow- regardless of time or distance.

Now getting the two time anomalies interact might just cause enough of a disruption (with the Second in seemingly in a state of Stasis with the one in the village at a Closed Loop) to break the loop- or at least to have the groundhog mucking things up, to pop out of its hideyhole.

But for now…
