[X] [Trait] The Hard Work That Brought You Here

This seems obvious.

[X] [Celebrate] Speak to Rhaenys The Queen Who Never Was (GM Discretion)

We should do this while we can.

Honestly the main problem I have with Honorable is that it may prevent us from associating with the kind of people that would make a good Master of Whispers, and considering our most likely enemies in the Dance we need the Intrigue to survive

Also for our kids' survival. See how Jaehaerys died in canon, and the only reason why Aegon's other kids, along with Aegon himself, didn't get captured and probably killed during the fall of kingslanding was due to Larys managing to secretly smuggle them out of the city.

While I would prefer ambitious, I am also fine with diligent. Rhaenyra has to learn law, strategy, and potentially Valyrian stuff, all of which require thorough and extensive learning. Diligent may be necessary to insure that we are at least competent at everything.

I still prefer diligent over the other options, I still like my write in, and I'd also like to speak to our father

I would be in favor, but first we should get to know him a bit. To see if we can make it work in the long term.
This goes without saying. Next turn we are back in regular KL turbs and we should reach out to both Laenor and Qoren Martell to see what their thoughts and general proposals are.

Also meeting with Gwayne is in order to start sorting out the Alicent situation.

As much as I love Dorne, marrying Qoren would piss off everyone who's against the Iron Throne and Dorne growing closer in a peaceful way, and it's not the same subset of people who disrespect Rhaenyra for any of her Rhaenyra-ness (although there are certainly overlaps), and it's not the same subset of people who think that opposing Rhaenyra is advantageous to them. We would be making unnecessary enemies in addition to the pile of necessary ones and trade-offs. And sadly, I don't think the advantages of Dorne's support would make up for that.

And on the personal scale, as much as Dorne's cultural standards would make a husband from there more accepting and thus less stressful, we already have accepting options. Gwayne is on board with Rhaenyra being Rhaenyra, as long as she treats his sister well. Harwin was excited to fight her. Laenor would not interfere with her personal life at all. None of these three seem hard to get along with.

I'm still on board with getting to know Qoren, of course, but I don't really think he'll win with this competition.

Yeah, and whereas I still think we should avoid Larys like the Plague, we still need someone to fill that place...

Also marrying a Dornishman sounds like it would piss off our sworn shield something fierce. Word of god is that when it comes to Dorne Daeron I looks like a peacenik compared to Tarly.

Tarly is Martial King guy like canon Osgrey in Dunk & Egg instead of just pure Dornish hatred. Osgrey greatly favor the Kingly, powerful, and sword-bearing Daemon over the hunchbacked, balding, and short Daeron II "The ill-born". It is not just racism that power the Blackfyre hype train but also ableism. Tarly fundamental belief is in warrior Kingness that it is why he support us. Tarly appreciate Dornish strength and Our strength at the very least. He stated it himself. His general Marcherness meet his fundamental Warrior-King ideology make him proponent of Conquest in Dorne.
He is actually quite judgemental, he's a marcher lord as others have mentioned (If you ever ask his opinions on Dorne he'll probably make Daeron the First look like peacenik) it's just Rhaenyra fits in very well with his views for the most part. And he basically sees it as his duty to shape Rhaenyra into a Warrior-Queen.
Yeah, Tarly fundamentally believes the throne needs a warrior king it's just he has flexibility on the gender of the king of they're strong enough
His hatred of Dorne are cultural Marcher but his belief in Warrior King, in Ser Rhaenyra, is fundamental. As long as we still act in Warrior's Grace Tarly will still support us.

Tarly may support warrior kings, but the GM was actually pretty clear about how he also just really hates Dorne. Putting a different emphasis on what Teen Spirit said:

Him liking warrior kings and hating Dorne are not mutually exclusive.

marrying an enemy when you could be conquering them instead is not very warrior's grace of us is it :V
(Jokes aside, it's probably going to be a less familial and more principle-driven "Relationship Deteriorated: Warm But Frustrated". A disagreement like that would burn a hefty chunk of goodwill, it's just that he has a lot of it for us atm)

Don't forget Harwin Strong, he might not bring as many advantages politicaly, but he has many other things he can bring to the table.

Like, at least some friendship and stability in the household. And also begin one of the biggest badassess in the realm, wich we totaly want fighting at our side.

Honestly, if Rhaenyra married the Prince of Dorne, estabilishing the succession would be an headache.

Like, who inherits the Iron Throne and who inherits Sunspear? What last name do the children have?

Lots of messy stuff we would have to sort out in the long term.
