The Path Unending (A Cultivation Quest)

I'm hoping the brother crab can cultivate to such a level where it can gain a human form and its revealed that its was a girl the whole and if I'm right, I will ship her with Zhuan Kun for lol

[X] A small stack of driftwood that looks to have once been destined to be more wall supports. It is all untrimmed, leaving it in interesting shapes that could be fun to work with. (Charmcrafting material, Salt 9)

I think Ocean sounds like a fun anam type. Both Shouxi and Xun Yun have Core synergies with it, and I would honestly like to see what we would come up with for it. Using an old shell of a martial crab would also make for a good part of a potential Zhuan Kun gift, who we still owe a favor after he gave us auction money.

The lower mat strength could come in handy as well, since it means fewer working actions. With the battery still needing to be completed first, I don't think we have time for another big charm before getting busy with the next arc.

Smoke and Salt together can craft a barbecue pitmaster Charm for an Immortal Chef.

We must make the greatest smoker the heart has ever seen

The size of the crab shells concerns me.

I can't get too salty with this results, there are oceans of possibilities with the driftwood.

The real question is what Zhuan Kun is going to do with the molts he claimed.

I need someone with more creativity to fill out my idea for the charm I'm cooking up here it's all stream of consciousness right now. A training charm like the winner of the contest. I keep thinking about the salt wood and training and I keep thinking about that post in the ten rings movie. Blood Sweat and Tears are all salty. A Striking post that gets harder and more painful to punch the more effort and pain you sacrifice to it.

salt can be used to spiritually purify or physically preserve something.
maybe a charm that helps cure more esoteric poisons? or an anti-mind control/possession charm? or a first-aid charm that does what that D&D stabilize spell does, not exactly healing but keeping them from dying.

I can see it used for something similar to the Sorrowborne Guardian. Gifting a summon spiritual protection abilities to protect the user along with anything else. Monk or Sage stuff.

Something like this? I think it could be helpful, but we might need to work on the Raptor stuff as well to truely profit from a charm like this.

Name: A Harsh Taskmaster
Materials: (Pain/Salt/Blood/Growth)
Form: A wooden post of driftwood pieces, held together by a crystalized sap dripping with Pain anam. The post itself is wrapped in a rope mixed with Ivengrass and painted in colors holding Growth anam.
Effect: Whoever strikes the post while working on a Warrior technique will make tremendous progress on their endeavor. Sadly this process doesn't come without a price. The harsh training will inflict the user with damage, which fuels the charms effect.

Instead of Warrior stuff, it helps cultivate anything related to Physical since Warrior techniques can come tied to Anam and the charm shouldn't be able to help with such. Either way, the idea is sound.

Salt should have purification properties and immediately makes me think of the illusion technique our group was knocked into. Smelling Salts also recover someone from being knocked unconscious

Anti-Illusion or Anti-Mental rechargeable perhaps? Something sharp (smelling) to cut through distortion and/or illusion? Would be a good tool in the arsenal.

I think the Hunger-Adjacent thing in our buddy's core might be Loneliness or Yearning? Both suit a sailor, with Yearning being the version that's more similar to Hunger. An abyss/void ever seeking fullness, ever desiring

I think the salt mat should go to Ming Hui, whose been a better friend to us than we were to him. Remember when we were bed ridden and he brought us food?

I'm sure he could use a Perfect Salt Shaker or something.

I was thinking by using the still growing sapling, if we graft the driftwood to it and adjust it, we can probably create a charm that can produce resources, like growing specialized salt from a tree charm.

Like maybe farming raw materials or the salt anam- maybe an artificial wonder.
