Psionic, if we're going all the way down to splitting those hairs. An internal, personal energy source which activates their connection to the Stage through application of processed Goldnine (Ambrosia) and rebuilding them from the ground up. It's a pseudoscientific version of "magic" that lets you use technobabble instead of arcanobabble. Considering nobody's waving their hands and chanting spells (arcane), calling upon patrons for effects, visibly praying and having those prayers answered, supernatural effects are coming from the psionics side of things.

Traditionally-understood-psychic powers tend towards telekinesis, telepathy, teleperception (clairvoyance / ESP), technopathy, astral projection, precognition, postcognition. Most "Psychic" powers tend to be mind / awareness based, although if you do not have a fresh-grown mind storebought technological hardware is fine.

When it comes to NegaQuest names, either Piggie or Gonzo works for me. Heck, I'd be ok with a reference to Grover.

I asked Parabola specifically because I accidentally nerd-sniped myself with geometry. Besides, I think my AU is a bit off-center from some others, it's tapping into The Backstage rather than The Stage.

Part of the fun is seeing if people recognize themselves. If they do, they see themselves in the omake. Otherwise they can see themselves out.

There is a practical argument for sparing Yellow Qilin: The 'magical girls' were transformed by her power in conjunction with the Frozen Throne. Without her powers... well, maybe they would revert back to normal, if YQ's is the only thing that lets the FT exert its influence outside its territory. But that's not in any sense a guarantee. There's a chance that killing her would just insta-kill the magical girls or let the Throne try to absorb them all in one go, or something.

I suppose Ellie inheriting Nora's Algernon-type (which is focused on metahuman powers) might give us a straight answer on the matter...

Speaking of the PM mission, given what Bitterman's said about PM and Reality Check probably being ideal being mandatory to take together, I have to imagine that the Frozen Throne team might either get outside via something PM-related, or perhaps Yara's telepathy will allow her to get a message out of the Throne via the Frozen-Throne-empowered girls.

...Ironically, if something like that does happen (e.g. they get a vision of LL fighting the Frozen Throne and its monsters or something), it could end up reinforcing the girls' beliefs in Lady Leizi. But it could also make them turn on YQ, maybe.

It's why I do a 24 hiatus before voting. A vote once bandwagoned that was a really bad idea and I had to restart voting once people realized it. But then, it had gotten too much momentum to stop.

Guaranteed synergies: [Phasewalking], [Battle Precognition], [Telekinesis], and I also assume that something like [True Telepathy] can arise from Clairvoyance x2 + Mental Manipulation x2 + Ally Empowerment (@Bitterman, is this an acceptable plan?).

The idea is to attain all the recently discovered synergies while remaining focused on telepathic powers (Mental Manipulation x2) and support (Ally Empowerment). Moreover, some people mentioned dreamish aesthetics, and I believe Feth Fiada + Eastwood is the most dreamy combination we can get.

Dreamer From Beyond was kind of established even before the vote, so it already had a lot of backing. I've got no problem with it winning, but it did mean there wasn't much chance at competition. Even so I'm going to throw in a couple more votes just for the sake of it.

I propose that if Foxglove dies during PMJUM (becuase we did swear to kill her), she should be buried in her magical girl outfit [Black Tortoise]. And if possible we should speak at her funeral about who much she wanted to be a Magical Girl, you know to disrespect her memory. {We are the one who knew her best, so no-one will able to question our narrative}
