@Daemon Hunter How does this look as a write-in?

[] A Disclosure and Declaration: The mandate of the Eternal Wardens has been, at least prior to this crisis, the pacification and purification of the Maelstrom to secure it for the good of all humanity. Yet most do not know of our primary objective: eliminating daemonic threats across the Imperium. This has remained hidden, much to the ire of those in the legion who support it, and has, in some ways, hindered our efforts. No more. It is time to bring our mission into the light. The recent revelations brought about by the Masquerade's End confirm the Imperial Truth is, in many ways, a lie. It won't take long for Chaos to capitalize on this. We should, then, declare our full mission to explain the prompt and pretense for this secession: We are here to kill evil, and we will do so, regardless of politics. This will undoubtedly anger the Emperor, but this reasoning will not warrant immediate censorship or reprisal. Instead, we should ingratiate ourselves with the Gamma Factions and Imperial Army.

think we should fight xenos of at least one form, orks, why? ramp up time, if we leave them alone the orks are gonna suddenly blindside humanity

Agree on that one.

Though we likely could go on a harder stance of ignoring everything that is not an outright threat like the human worlds thst simply don't want to join thr empire or neutral Xenos.

I mean we would be killing every orks, hostile Xenos, and corrupted human we found anyway. Though I would rather let the ork go if they are on the way to Blood and Thunder war. More thongs to distract Khorne is good for us. We need to distract the other 3 Chaos Gods too.

The reason to focus on Chaos and daemons is because while Orks are equally dangerous, people know about them. No one knows what the fuck daemons are or their capabilities, so the idea that there is an entire legion dedicated to fighting such horrors resonates better.

Seriously, what would happen if we just flat out said in our declaration as to why we aren't staying with the Imperium was "We aren't being allowed to go out to kill horrors and steal their shit. We are out here doing the best defense possible for humanity by being on the offensive."

*shrug*

Let the legion go and kill demons, cant do much about it

But whoever winss the war may put harsh shackles in the aftermath

By making it clear we are not allies, means that the aftermath we are not part of their goverment but instead a foreing armed force staying within their territory

So some form of heavy disarmament and/or regulation to ensure the legion is unable to coup or fight back for some time untill its been properly re-educated

That's a rather fun write in that'd lock you in to facing off against the Maelstrom and Chaos in general. The main benefits are that you'd get the slft approval of much of the IA at the cost of passing off the Emperor. But he'd have a hard time acting openly against you.

Alright, let's just do a quick plan then.

Here is the logic, Daemon has already confirmed that Kelbor-Hal, wants us to succeed. He's got too much invested into our operations along with Konrad and Vulkan, but he's not going to force us to do anything. His terms will be generous and this basically helps reduce the amount of internal bullshit we have to do.

In regards to sharing the plans with Oriacarius, it's our First Captain. He's one of the smartest and loyalist guys (who can keep a secret), and it's better for him to know so he can start coming up with a contingency.

Why do you not want to switch over to internal production? Given the current state of the Imperium, I don't think Mechanicum supply would be uninterrupted long term, especially if/when the civil war goes hot and Kelbor-Hal probably gets the cogboys openly on the rebel side.

[X] Plan In for a Penny, In for a Pound V.1.

As much of a political player Kelbor-Hal is, man's probably one of our earliest allies since the Quest's start. Nothing wrong with temporarily relying on him as we stablize Svarga's production.

[X] Vulkan's Domain - Tying yourself to Vulkan and Konrad would resolve these issues. But also cause a decent level of discontent from detractors of their ideas.
-[X] Plan to switch over to internal production in 10 years
[X] Share them with the Twins - If there is anyone capable of finding tangible proof, it is the Hydra. When you meet them, share what you have heard.

Although it probably has to be said, "You've been warned in-universe that spreading this information is dangerous," considering we have limited to no control over what the Twins are doing, and worse yet, they don't agree on what to do, this could have crazy consequences.
To be fair the twins do know of security of information so Im pretty sure they woudn't go around spreding it willy nilly and also who would they even tell?

I don't think they are close to magestic enough the rest of their legion would understand them not telling them and malcador is in the emperor plan.

So to be completly honest I see more merit in telling them because then is more posibilities that the alpha legion is not torn between alpharious and omegon because of their diferent stances regarding seccesion.

There's more dangers in spreading information than just "it may spread more". What do you think the Twins would do if Kesar told them this information? Try to assassinate Eldrad for feeding Kesar lies (from their POV)? Try to assassinate Emps and Malcador and all their allies to try and stop this shit early? Try infiltrating Big E's most top secret facilities to look for any evidence of what Kesar told them? Or worse still, one of them may believe that to be true while the other thinks it's nonsense, then what? We may be the best of friends with Alpharius and Omegon, but they don't trust us with knowing Jack shit, so they could go through with something catastrophic and we would have no ability whatsoever to intervene.

Whether or not The Twins took the news badly, when the civil war erupted, it's much better for them to be on our side rather than the opposite, and telling them about the Emp's plan is our best bet at making sure they will be against the Emperor.
