It's a good plan, deals with an immediate monster problem, showcases our new hero to the world, and gets us a renewed contract. Only thing is I'm hesitant on making a new metahuman before getting the new DNA, but we really do need the extra AP as soon as possible.

Fear and Panic has a chance to give us new Metahuman DNA, so we potentially have some new lego blocks to build with if things work out well.

But yeah, I'm a bit hesitant on adding a new metahuman to the team so soon too, mainly for narrative reasons since it might detract from Black Swan's screentime who I consider a protag along with Lady Leizi at this point, but practical needs mean we gotta. Besides, I think we can solve that issue by specializing them away from being a HIT and REPUTATION focused hero like Black Swan. Either an ESPIONAGE or TECHNICAL Specialist would work great to give the new meta their own narrative space.

This is all good stuff. But a few things:

1) "Recruit X" as a reward means a new metahuman. "Candidate" will mean someone you can use Ambrosia on going forward. Sorry for the confusion!

2) A new metahuman at this stage means +1 AP until you're at AP 5, where you will need two new metahumans for a new AP point.

3) You can't use DNA you get this turn until NEXT turn. Narratively, Dr. Ibis will need all turn to make the new batch of Ambrosia, even if mechanically you vote for the powerset and the end of the turn. He was only able to make Mona's so fast by using his power, which he and Lady Leizi agree he should try to limit going forward.

Oh really? Sweet, that works out even better! That means the plan now has a chance of both recruiting a metahuman and making a brand new one, getting us to AP 5 next turn. Yeah we still snub someone, but we also get 1 extra AP for next turn to use on something!
 
Potentially getting to AP5 at the cost of using our last stock of Ambrosia is certainly a trade off. Worth it if we roll well and Recruit someone during the mission! We do have something pre-built already like @MrKermie's Sir Suffering too for Rhys. That, or the Wade Family combo.

We can't make use of new Metahuman DNA immediately, but I'm fine with that. The more supers we have under our wing, the greater our collective stat line, and the sooner we can get the Apiary back.
 
O-O sooo many numbers. Also hey great outfit, seems to have a bit of Cygnus Wing from Staeforce in it (or maybe thats just me) i domt think ill make a plan for now since im busy but love the update.

Oh dang, I just realized something salient. IF you take back your contract with the Worker's Mitt, they will give you +1000 Income per turn AND +1000 Income right away as a penalty clause for illegally suspending the contract.

Sorry, first turn hiccups. Adding this information to the front page.

This only applies to the Worker's Mitt and OID as there were formally under contract with Justice Unlimited.

That changes everything. Considering that significantly changes the calculus, I think this merits an entirely new plan. :D

Not only do we get the narrative satisfaction and pay off of Mona finally getting a proper debut with a combat mission and media attention after all that build up, but we'll also make enough money to create a new metahuman, raising our Action Points per Turn to at least 4! It can even go as high as 5 if we roll well at recruitment in Fear and Panic.

Approval voting for Exotic Specimens because I'm indecisive and I really like Dr. Elbis. Also, it makes our last drop of Ambrosia really count by making it better. That's pretty important since it'll be a while before we get another dose of Ambrosia for use.

I am absolutely rabid for the Puella. I have a mighty need to figure out what their deal is, and I'm praying we successfully get our recruit in Fear and Panic so we have 1 spare AP to go and meet the girls.

Mona needs friends around her age who can relate to her new life as a superhero!

Come to think of it, Magical Girls and Superheroes have a lot in common. Secret identities, fighting monsters and villains, fun costumes and nicknames, occasionally having to deal with the fact that they're no longer fully human etc. etc.

Ibis's mission improves our Ambrosia doses - and we only have one left. If we're going to do Project Prometheus this turn, we should make it as successful as we can.

The artist is is a personal friend with godlike speed. She helped design the final look for Mona.

All these storylines are good, but the magical girl one is special to me. It goes places and I'm kinda proud of it tbh.

And I'm glad someone remember Dr. Ibis demanding access to his lab in the very first scene of this quest!

Edit: It's also probably a good idea to feed Ibis's, ah, children, before they go find food outside the labs. Question: Did Ibis happen to have any giant chicken shadow-birds?

It would be pretty practical to grab Dr. Ilbis' equipment now, especially since it would be lower in priority after we exhaust our Ambrosia supply. We also won't be getting more Ambrosia for a while, so we best make that last drop of Ambrosia count. He's a strong contender for my favorite character too, but I also want to make sure Black Swan gets the best debut as possible since she's Justice Unlimited's precious little baby and thus deserves the world...

A quick note as I think of mechanics that are intuitive to me (because I made them), but might not make immediate sense:

1) Timed Quests don't just expire when you run out of time: the happen in-universe and resolve without your input. The world state changes. You might lose access to future quests or gain access to quests you wouldn't have before. The four times quests you have before are all HUGELY important with long-reaching consequences, but I designed them so you can't do them all.

2) Man, being a QM is tough. I wanna tell you guys what all the rewards and scenarios are, but that would defeat the purpose of the game! If only Lady Leizi had rolled better, you would know what most of the "???" are. At least you didn't miss out on any missions.
