Rings and Grudges (A LOTR/Warhammer Fantasy Crossover)

[X] A Measured defence: You'll inflict as many casualties as possible before withdrawing to safety. (You'll Withdraw your troops as your defences begin to show signs of strain you might take casualties if things go poorly)

[X] Delaying Actions: Have your Ranger's strike at the Grobi drawing them out and slowing their advance with light strikes and traps while leading them all over to tire them out. (Buy time for your Reinforcements.)

And so the War of Dwarves and Orcs begins. Since their Large dragon is being held back we can focus on holding the Melkor Fort defenses for some time. Its a hardy position. I'd bet on 1,000 Dwarfs in a fortified position vs 14,000 Orcs any time.

Edit: Also keep in mind this Orc tribe failed miserably at negotiating an alliance to attack us and has instead spent years fighting two other major tribes. There is an excellent chance their main force will be fighting other orc forces the longer we can hold them at the Melkor fort. After all, this is not their territory and they have no friends.

Yep we have Inflamed the grobi conflict again them being outside of there territory with many feuds from other tribes

They will suffer attrition by the smaller upper level tribes and must be attacked in the rear by the other big tribes that suffered large loses by the cult via our direction

There is no point in condemning 20 Dawi to death to hold a compromised position, we have built several forts and emplacements to avoid having to be lured in a all or notthing defense.
Once we get our reinforcements we win anyway so no point in risking the rangers.

For the turn after these one, the underway should get a go because the tunnels will be mostly clear, but we could not be able to pay for it.

We should avoid building a small thunderbarge, the medium ones carries two gyrocopters wings and I do not belive we can lose a battle with that combo, and with the medium barge we can fly evrywere supplies be damned.

We can finance the fliers by building excavators and deep divers subs, thus making use of the upgraded facilities the past turn.

The advanced component factory is a must for the next turn, we are getting way too fancy toys.

Mad0Slayer

can you confirm that the warmachine that we paid the engeniers extra money for was accounted for?
I do not see it.
Is it waiting to come out as a suprise during the battle?
We did not get to vote on the trade with Balin. Are we making those money?

Now that I have done my montly long message, I will stop writing here and start painting thorin for the omake (putting aside the iron hills who are close).

Yip, it'll be revealed in the fight, it's gonna be fun to show off. They did build a hanger for a reason in the end.

Yip it's in the trade tab they've got the same trade deal you have with the Iron hills you make more money though since they have a larger population.

that what 12 to 1 ? as much as i would like to hold the walls i do not think we likely can. best we can do is bleed them and buy time.

It's a fighting retreat right? Ie: rear line cover those coolest while they fall back?

Well, I'm gonna close this vote I think in around 14 to 24 hours.

I mean I apparently they found dragons aside from smaug who was supposededlybthevlast dragon

Smaug is technically the last great fire dragon but since I'm pulling from both the Movies, books and mods and games I've gotten a bit creative with a few things like the dragons and orcs.

To be fair it's not the worst a dwarf army from the old world or the worst odds your clan has fought in this quest.
